Use our rumours form to send us leeds transfer rumours.

I can understand the Alioski out reasoning but who takes his place. Saiz not a wide player imo and Clarke better from the bench at this moment in time.
In his defense he does help our defensively and I bet Douglas likes playing behind him .
Any idea lads? Harrison?

i hate aloski for what he did, it is uncalled for and unfogivable. Sadly we don't have a replacement, clarke has some great aspects but looks like 45 mins is his level and he is young and still learning

I was speaking to a scout at spurs who thinks saiz is our main man and we must build a team around him like spurs do erikson.

i wonder if a change of formation is due with douglas and aling/ dallas as wing backs and saiz playing through the middle?

It's a fair point Cork, but his main inclusion in the team is supposedly for his attacking potential. Regarding Harrison when he does get another chance he needs to have more influence than he has done on his previous appearances. We could do with our loan men upping their game like some of our rivals loanees are doing.

Personally Berm I’d take Bielsa opinion over a spurs scout.
I always thought Bamford could be good on the left cutting in.

29 Nov 2018 01:19:11
true but you must admit he makes a good point, saiz is out best player and maybe one of the best in the league do we build around him or persist with wingers who are poor or simply not doing it at the moment?

An on form Saiz is our best creative player but we miss Hernandez more as he’s more consistent.

I’d also trust MB to utilise his players best

Not hard being a scout btw.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Nov 2018 09:39:31
not hard to be a top scout for one of the biggest and most successful clubs in the country? he was a main guy and not some one who pointed out a player on hackney marshes

i am starting to feel sorry for agents and think they are worth their fees as been trying to negotiate a move for KP and had no luck what so ever! still god does love a tryer!

Ayling has 3 goals and 3 assists so far this season. That’s not a bad return really. Keep him in.

agree alf his form has not been as great as last year but he is still one of our better players and maybe still my fav player at the club.

By the way
Shouldn’t the game be promoted as
Leeds v Man United? Because of no home team?

What the past few months have shown to me is the need for implicit faith in Marcelo and his team. Faith that his line ups no matter how questionable on paper are made for a reason and set up to get a job done Faith that his x-ray vision can see inside a player and decide if he can make it. Even if at first sight question marks hover. Faith that he truly knows the potential of each player and therefore the strength, in depth, of the squad and Faith that should he spend it will be, not just for spendings' sake and whoever comes in (at whatever price) will be a missing piece of the jigsaw and an obvious enhancement to the cause.

To put some perspective on matters we have an above average number of players injured, a few players out of form Alioski/ Saiz, a couple of the loanees Harrison and Baker not making a big impression. The game last night we were crying out for a strong midfielder to drive the team on and really go at them . Like the Reading guy who picked up the ball and ran 20 or 30 yards through our mid field a number of times . Although the young guns have slotted in well and not let anyone one down. We could do with as many as five players in January, if we really want to kick on and this would also show intent. Keeper, CH, CM Winger and Striker.

Just do not see that Bielsa will want 5 players in Jan for this year . Bamford, Brown, Beradi and Ayling all to come back in Jan and some under 23s, getting closer as the season runs on. GK for the bench yes and then for me somone who can take the opportunities others create.

Look at Kun, displays s lot of the qualities you are writing about from midfield. Wouldn’t surprise me if he gets some mins before season end. Gone from under 18s to under 23s fairly easily and looked great on Monday including superb goal!

28 Nov 2018 16:39:37
We have 27 games left, can all the players in the current squad play to their best in all those games, Fitness, Form and Fatigue are all factors, a few added quality players who can make the difference in some of the games could make all the difference.

We are carrying a passenger or two at the moment. It is important to strengthen in every window and if we are in the mix come January a couple of buys and a couple of quality loans could really make the difference, add in the players coming back and we might then have enough.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Nov 2018 18:56:58
The answer is that Bub thinks he has enough, good enough for me.

Agree1 Disagree0

29 Nov 2018 10:19:36
No way we will add as many as five - one or two maybe but I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t add anyone except a reserve goalie

Saiz hasn’t been in form since the first 5 games last season. Maybe this is his actual form and those few games were a fluke?

28 Nov 2018 13:27:03
why is Clarke's fitness so poor? has he been out injured or something?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

28 Nov 2018 14:16:00
Yeh at times he made a really good run then the cammera caught him red faced, gasping for air unable to summon up an ounce of strength. The lad has all the skill and bravery we need but the fitness guys need to work on him considerably over the coming months. Maybe his mum needs to slip in an extra Weetabix for his school dinners?

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Nov 2018 14:52:08
I’ve mentioned this in my posts about the under 23s before. When he played a full game he looked absolutely wrecked. Also at first he wasn’t tracking back as much as Bielsa would want. Now he is tracking back more and playing at a higher level, his fitness needs to be better. Just needs building up to 90 mins at this level. I like the idea of using him for a half, particularly when the other team is tiring. We have another players to be able to rotate with him.

Well we left that till the last minute, that save will have done BPF the world of good. I know we only won because they were crap and we were lucky blah blah. Nearly half a team missing and we are still in second, that's the way i look at it. Good to see the young ones coming in and holding their own. Not a Dallas lover but that was his best game yet for me, got his tackles in and scored. Clarke will get fitter every game so not an issue with me. Alioski on the other hand is. Gifted player but can't seem to get his game together. Bailey had two shots to save which tells you a lot about the game. We were not as dominant as we usually are but were not in trouble until the pen. We got the 6 points i predicted from the last three games and we are still in second spot. Next three i think we are capable of winning all of them but reckon 7 points will keep us second or even top if Norwich slip up. A couple of signings in Jan with the addition of everyone being fit, which is a big ask they way our luck is going with injuries, and i can see us taking it to the wire in May. Onwards and upwards.

Its a cliche but you can only beat what is in front of you and we got the three points. Sheff Utd will be tough but a totally different type of game. really need to get some back from injury now as we are worryingly thin in reserve unless the kids can really step up. Good to see some younglings playing yesterday and still picking up the win.

Allioski and Baker poor last night, still don't think we are playin our best but we are getting results which counts, can only get stronger, I've questioned our keeper in the past, hats off to the lad for last night, maybe MB threat to drop him made him pull his socks up, hard Saturday but they won't put 10 men behind the ball.

28 Nov 2018 22:29:11
douglas was, I love douglas. why you ask me did you think i hated dougals or that KP was motm? not sure how you thought that KP did ok one great block to be fair.

I have worked out why i hate KP he is footballs equivalent of frank bruno. Bruno was great against weak or avaeage peole but couldn't never do it against the best in his divison. Now being average like bruno and KP is fine but it was all the 'boxing idiots' who had him down as a god that annoyed me, think it is the same with KP.

i don't mind him but the people who think he is prem class (or even top of this division class) and keep callign me out when he plays well against poor teams then go quiet when he plays the better teams and under performs. KP V any top six team is like bruno v Tyson yet we have KP down as a world beater when he plays against rotherham.

29 Nov 2018 09:18:04
Douglas, Sky man of the match, KP the Leeds United Man of the match decided by sponsors I believe.

Bermondsey, I’m not sure many in here are saying KP is premier class or the best in the division. The difference is you appear to be writing him off and saying he will never improve to that level and others have a more open mind.

He’s young, he’s learning, he’s improving and he gives his all for the team wherever he is asked to play, he’s not Superman but actually very important to the team this year, because there is no one else who can do that role as well as him.

You said that we could never get promoted with him in the team, I don’t agree with that, I think he’s proving we can!

I pinpointed the Bristol and reading game as 2 wins . I feel we had to win those games against pretty average teams and we did . Sheffield United away on Saturday however will be extremely difficult . I still can't quite believe we are in this position with all the injuries, playing people
Out of position etc it's incredible . Players like Clarke Shackleton halme Huffer as well as Dallas and Philips playing out of position . With the likes of Jansson, ayling, berardi and bamford also Izzy brown and Tom Pearce coming back to fitness the squad is going to look pretty decent in the new year.

So over the past 4 days we have won two games, not conceded a goal and seen the likes of KP, BP-F, Halme, Clarke, Huffer and Shackleton all play their parts.
The MB influence is there for all to see and I for one am genuinely excited for our club's future. We could quite easily ditch the loanees and cope. These young lads do not look out of place and are all playing in a system that will only see them get better and better. There will undoubtedly be hiccups along the way like B P-F against WBA but I for one will put up with that because the bigger picture is that once we get into the Premiership we will be able to cope. As a life long supporter I would much rather see these youngsters, mistakes and all than go back to seeing the likes of Ryan Hall, David Norris, Paddy Kenny, Lloyd Sam etc etc in a Leeds shirt.

For me, one of the key moves Bielsa made this year is to link up Carlos Corberan with the first team. Immediately he made use of his knowledge of the club and players, he can communicate in Bielsas language, important for the nuances and we have a pathway between the two squads.

The club has integrated its playing talent and we have a lot more players at the disposal of the first team coaches who understand the system.

There not going to be the finished article but neither are many of the first team players we have bought in the past. But they should have the energy, determination and desire to show what they can do.

Don’t slag off the kids without seeing what they can do. Bielsa pucks out the best to work with the first team but also knows he has others to fill gaps.

Who would have thought you could replace Pontus with KP and not really notice? Thought Coops,
Dallas, KP and BPF were all good last night! Clarke really excites me when he gets the ball! Think the reason we were hanging on a bit at the end was down to basically only having one defender on!
So injuries, players off form, players not experienced enough, only beat the poor teams . hang on a minute I’ve just seen the table 😳
Well done lads 👍mot.

Good to see baker and Alioski withdrawn at half time. Well done Bielsa.
Still poohing around too much in defence with ball.
Have not got the firepower at the moment. And don't seem to have a player that can hit the ball hard. Too many mis hits when it matters.
Overall Well played though. Deserved the win. Great penalty save.
