A couple of bad results and the majority of 'fans' on here are turning on the players. All of a sudden Austin is awful and McCormack isn't in games. Can't expect players in the championship to do it every week, players who do are in the premier league.
Disappointed yet not surprised with fans reactions to the Christmas period.

Rightly so with austin, he has been poor. This is the perfect site to share our opinions. Plus its not alwasy about the results, if we play well and lose then fair enough but were not, and were sick of having huge optimism for it to be snatched from us. We were lucky against donny, outplayed by barnsley and forest and its cost me 200 quid this week. Vinny.

Leon Britton isn't getting games at Swansea. that's the solution to our midfield; he can pass and retain possession. hope he's on the 4 man list.

Great shout! prem experience as well, would be a great signing imo.

Injured or just back from injury hence lack of game time.

Just left game feeling quite despondent and let down, we couldn't keep the ball and the goal was a scramble, forest where not all that better but we made them look good, our midfield just go missing with no thret up front, was hoping for a good Christmas run but yet again it doesn't materialise, come on Leeds pull your flaming socks up!!

Agree - very poor today - no imagination or threat for top 6, need an injection of quality. Playing an 18 yr old novice as our ace card says it all! Smith not fit enough for 90 mins - showed his level today. McCormack missing and Forest much quicker to make forward runs. Hurry on take over and transfers. I think our recent position in top 6 has flattered. Today was the wake up call

Yes, same old story I'm afraid. Apart from Ross I can't really see any goals coming either. Brian has done OK in my view but far from great, he needs funds this January or we will end up mid table just as we did with Warnock and Grayson. Slate me if you like but that's the truth. Midfield and attack first pls.

Austin was terrible, give Marius the captains armband. Murphy very lightweight and Brown was old manned by Reid in the lead up to the 1st goal. McCormack doesn't like to challenge for the ball at all- poor today.
We need another Strachan to get that midfield working, would love to see Tim Cahill.

If we get another 35 points in the 2nd half we will have made good progress.

Don't know what you lads are moaning about! Yer manager has your team punching well above their weight. You've only got a few decent players. Forest were just the better side today I`m afraid and deserved the win. Just pray you don't lose Mc Cormack or you`ll be in the sh.te

To Forest Red: I think we would all agree that Leeds have been punching above their weight pal. That said we made you look good today, we were slow and had no threat, and yes your are a better team but you didn't really have to be great to beat what Leeds offered today. Leeds were awful today from the first to the last minute it was "hoof ball" to smith who barely won a header!

Just a terrible first half, austin and brown need replacing, mccormack hardly had a touch, lees all over the place. i'm proud of our league position but we need to be better, try passing the ball on the ground for a bit. The formation has had a good run but were crying out for a 442. And again on austin. stop shooting every time you get the ball! Get pelts at rb and bring on byram for austin or brown, I hope I eat my words and we somehow get a point. Vinny.

Kewell playing in the A League in Aussie. Put in another gutless display on Friday for his team who are rock bottom. Surprised he didn't limp off near the end.

Just been reading all the old rumours as had no internet access for a week. Saw the one about Smith and Phillips joining us as coaches. I think as everyone else does that the Smith link is rubbish however I believe there is some truth in the Phillips link. He wants to try his hand at coaching and this isn't happening at Crystal Palace. Add to this his first team appearances are now very limited at premiership level he wants to drop a level to play a few more games before hanging up his boots. Not just been linked with us but we are one of a number of teams looking at him, and as the other poster said BMcD is interested as he won't need to spend much on a striker cover and can spend the majority of his budget on other parts of the squad first.
