Do you remember back in the day when I never knew who the heck Marcelo Bielsa was other what ED 001 told us in one of his earliest interviews he confirmed he had watched every single Leeds game on video that past season and that. Kelvin Phillips is the best CB in the Championship
Hands up I remember thinking what our ok (at the time) but promising midfielder about 5ft 5 centre back god who have we got here!

Llorente and Koch when both fit are surely the preferred starting pair. Casey and Cresswell are still really young, most likely cup or loaned out over the next few seasons. Think Struijk will play as backup for Kalvin for a few years yet, cover off the bench or if we get an injury at CB or DM, hasn't done much wrong but still learning.
Cooper I would sell. Has worked hard, captained the side and has the right attitude but he will be 30 start of next season and just isn't at this level. Best for him and the club imo if he steps back down to a champ team next year that needs him rather than warming our bench.

I just think his strolling, confident, laconic style is going to grow from strength to strength with game time? I recall watching Scott Sellars many years ago and thought he was a superb talent (though a different position to Struick) - who then disappeared from top flight football - so I may well be wrong - but Struick to me looks a real talent?

I think that’s a good shout. I massively rate stuijk great on the ball big powerful and quick for size. Bougtz reminds me of Scott sellers funnily enough both got quailty in the ball and seem to have an effortless strut.

As incredible as it’s been to have so many games played, what do people think about another enforced break?
On the phone to my brother this evening (the spurs season ticket holder, yep I know! ) and he’s pretty certain there will be another cessation of football within next couple of weeks.
Looking at the number of cancellations in league one and two there does appear to be a growing case for stopping all football, but then i do appreciate what good it does for the country’s mental well-being many of these players have families too.

With the rise in positive the virus cases around different clubs, can only see another shut down of football. I know players are tested regularly but several high profile players have also been caught out flouting the the virus lockdown rules. This second wave or strain of the virus seems to be spreading fast and another full lockdown seems likely.
