I am with Notts as in I have no Voice whatsoever today after excessive shouting and Screaming mainly at the very shortsighted and corrupt Officials! But enjoyed the game even if it did trigger huge stress levels and a few Palpitations! All that was forgotten as i celebrated the 3 points and broms defeat gleefully in the peacock, Drysalters, and eventually last orders in spoons in Dewsbury, was hoping to see madius mickus but then again don't think anyones seen him not even his sister in law! 😎😁 so slightly hungover today but worth it just to shut the millwall up! Anyways my observations are let's take t 2nd half double it then flip it round and start with 2nd half SIMPLES! πŸ€”πŸ˜… peace brothers!

Don't think you should stop posting.
Emotions can get the better of most on here.
Bermo got loads of stick earlier in the season and we all moved on.
Its good that people can hold different views and your regular comments are well valued.
The point you regularly make about loyalty and sticking with the team through good and bad times is very relevant.
Think you would need to be a psychiatrist to analyse some of the comments on here
especially when they have been at the Babycham.

A few posters have noted this but a special mention has to be made of the performance of the Referee (Darren England) and his assistants. I have been sceptical regarding bias against us and have put inconsistent decisions down to a general diminishing of refereeing standards throughout the English game, but last night took the biscuit. The same type of challenges were considered fouls when we committed them but fair game when Millwall did. The booking of Pablo for stopping a break away was not punished when Romeo did exactly the same thing. The save from Dallas in the first half that was given as a goal kick, he even turned away from the replay on the big screen to ignore his mistake. The penalty decision, which although was a clumsy and unnecessary challenge by Alioski, should not have got that far as the ball went out of play in the run up. The 6 minutes injury time awarded when only 4 minutes were announced. The frog marching of Pablo off the pitch during the substitution but allowed their keeper 3 opportunities to do dummy runs to the ball and numerous time wasting throughout the game (whilst they were ahead) . I would also add that when we scored the first and third goals, the ref stood just outside the box, glared towards and spoke to his assistant just to double, no triple check that the goals were legal. The Football league's corrupt and it is clear that as the finishing line approaches we will be playing against 11 players and 3 officials each game. No worries for the EFL as they have Keith Stroud up their sleeve.

Excellent post Notts.

What to do about it?

The Leeds United Supporters Trust and/ or other Leeds United Official Groups should prepare a detailed dossier of all these wholly disproportionate biased, corrupt referring decisions and performances that Leeds United have been suffering from this season, then add a petition signed by Leeds United fans for the EFL to officially respond to it as the integrity of EFL match officials is seriously in question.

This and the media attention it would attract would at the very least put some extremely warranted heat and embarrassment on the ( not fit for purpose, biased ) EFL and make future EFL match officials of Leeds United matches much more wary of their biased decision making.

Agree1 Disagree0

29 Jan 2020 15:02:35
Bazooka A rare occurrence has occurred. I like and agree wholeheartedly with your post and idea. I'd sign that petition.

Notts As for Mr Stroud, you clearly allude to the denied penalty for Bam Bam last year toward end of season against the 🐝 and then they score and go on to win the game. Let's hope we get to the PL in a few months. We have a very tough February coming up.

Plus over the decades the local MPs and Politicians have been too quite on the whole. They need to stand up for their local club
If this was a different club the public outcry from all and sundry would be deafening.
There would be public enquiries, special programmes about etc.
We are 15 points down because of bad decisions and our players have to work twice as hard in games because of constantly having to beat the officials as well.
The smirk on the face of the sky scores/ around the grounds presenter last night when all the decision were going against us was very very noticeable.

At the risk of joining the doom and gloom merchants (I am not really, honestly) I wonder on the suitability of JKA. His forte is his pace away from the back four. Whereas I believe we needed a "poacher" type. Most (all) teams that play Leeds tend to park the bus and we facilitate that by constantly battering them, so where is the space behind to run into?
I hope Bielsa has seen he has a nose for goal and, although I cannot see it happening, I hope he plays two up front with JKA and BamBam. That man puts in a shift which we miss when he is not there.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

29 Jan 2020 11:35:41
its hard JKA clearly has quality but bamford can not be dropped. so can belisa make room for both? and who will he drop? another forward will give bamford more space and then he will score more as well. but can belisa bend?

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jan 2020 12:15:12
The same question could be asked of Iancarlo too, as both Costa and Harrison put in shifts last night. I’d say drop Bam in for Klich a few games ago, but apart from his shot which landed on the moon, Klichy was immense last night too! Good problems for a manager to have!

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jan 2020 12:18:36
true and i think JKA has lifted Bam Bam to play better compition always helps.

Agree1 Disagree0

moening my fellow leeds fans

today you will find one very hung over and happy cockney. spent last night surrounded by the slags!

fair play to belisa white with alying beind and dallas at rb worked to an extent as we won. a leeds team with no beradi and no KP won. against an inform team . maybe the inform team who are set up to beat us

I agree with RHC our defending on set plays is sunday league and is just not accpetable. it has cost us and will cost us again and the fact we have got worse not better is unforgivable

howevever we showed fight and sprit against a in form team. yu have to love the sprit and fight

of course i will bang this drum. so last night played an inform physical team but got the win. why you ask? well in part due to the fact we had no KP. he is a luxuary player who offers no defensive cover and lacks the molibity for a high press counter attack team. without KP we are better first win in however long and against a good team must give me some credit on this point

anyway we can't defende but we did win. happy days.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

29 Jan 2020 12:02:20
Going to ignore your little rant about KP and agree with the fighting spirit bit BW. We came out second half with the belief we could win and went all out for it. More direct, aggressive and when we play like that we will score against anyone. So why don't we play like that when the whistle blows to start the match, We need to be scoring two or three goals in the first 30 minutes not the last. Thought defending was poor last night and why Gotts is not at right back is beyond me. Klich was a lot better with Pablo playing let's him drop a bit deeper. Bamfords two goals show where his strength lies, poaching so let's keep going past players and getting the crosses in and really put teams under pressure.

I’m with Bige here, Bermo! That post started so well, then turned to poo! But hey ho, no one is going to change your mind, so we move on. Much as I don’t want to see your arse, I do look forward to KP getting his first Cap, and seeing your tattoo! πŸ€ͺπŸ€ͺπŸ€ͺ.

Agree2 Disagree0

29 Jan 2020 12:21:06
agree shame we can't match first half and often under par for the first 45 minutes

you can ignore the KP all you like but put someone with mre legs next to klich and he is better? we are more direct. more legs. not over run. and we win. two more wins and KP should find it hard to get back in. think we had another good run without kp but can't remember exactly when. agree about defending. if . and its a big if. we go up we must be the worst team defensivly to get promotion.

Further to RHC thread below
Its not a weak championship, its an extremely competitive one .
FFP has prevented teams distorting the standings by spending large amounts of borrowed money, so preventing one or two teams from dominating the league.
As you say we have our weak areas, they do need sorting but the big thing to remember is playing our type of football requires a certain type of player and big hoofball no nonsense centre half's very seldom have the skill level required to go with it and the very best (Van Dyke) the costs are beyond us.
The opposition teams set up try to exploit our weaknesses, with varying success.
One big question are our strengths playing this style, greater than the weaknesses that come with it, given the financial restraints we need to work with.
For me the blueprint is good and one the club can keep progressing with. We have strengthen a couple of weaknesses in the window. Just need to put a good run together and we will all feel more optimistic. Fatigue is the big enemy, as evidenced last night, after a ten day rest the performance levels went up measurably.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

29 Jan 2020 09:19:05
As per my post to RHC, I totally agree with you 70. This league is possibly the most competitive in all of Europe. No one dominates without cheating (Wolves? ) .

Agree1 Disagree0

29 Jan 2020 09:38:47
If you add the points that woeful decisions have cost we would be well away. By the way giving a goal kick for save from Dallas must go down as the worst decision of the season. Specsavers next add maybe.

Agree1 Disagree0

29 Jan 2020 10:55:45
RHC has a point take away just the goals from crosses, free kicks and corners. plus maybe add a couple of goals our end from cornerns and we would be top by 15-20 points. shame as it is an easier thing to fix in the grand scheme of football.

Agree1 Disagree0

29 Jan 2020 12:20:44
Yep Bermo, that partic part of his post is fair. No one can argue that point really.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jan 2020 07:23:02
This is by far and away one of the weakest championships I can remember . With our current points in any normal season we would be in a high play off position not automatic . We are very lucky the other top teams are very mediocre this year . Forest look the main threat now and all they really represent is a boring keep it tight, counter attacking team .

However, this Leeds team still inspire no confidence in me whatsoever, that we will do it this year . Bielsa has us playing pretty football but he has failed to deal with our weaknesses since he first joined . We can't defend set pieces to save our lives and our own corners and free kicks are such a joke that they actually represent an opportunity for the opposition to counter attack us .

Bielsa has not adapted or addressed these issues which are far worse since Pontus left . He has also put far too much faith in the posh boy . Selling Roofe and going into such an important season relying on a striker who needs about eight chances to score one goal is just plain foolish . These weaknesses have exposed the brittle level of confidence players like Cooper have such that our defence is now at sixes and sevens .

They made Jed Wallace look like Ronaldo last night and Milwall cut us open far too easily on a number of occasions . In my view games like Brum and last night merely paper over the cracks exposed since the Cardiff fiasco . I hope Big Kev can quickly integrate into the team and be able to lead the line and finish the numerous chances we create . But the weakness at the back dealing with corners, free kicks and crosses also needs addressing and he has already said we won't be signing anyone else .

He's had 18 months to fix it on the training ground and has failed so I don't see that changing . Such a shame as it puts so much pressure on the team to chase games and undermines confidence . So where does that leave us? Well it leaves me hoping for the best but expecting the worse .

We could just as easily finish in the top two, play offs or even just outside at this point . I think it all turns on Big Kev . If he can finish the chances and gets enough game time, we could still do this . But we will have to do it the hard way like last night as we will continue to leak cheap goals .

So. What we have and what we are doing is enough. Nervey but should be enough.
Nobody else coming through now.

Agree2 Disagree0

29 Jan 2020 09:03:59
You can only win the league that you’re in surely?
Plus, I don’t think that it’s average, I think all the teams have improved, so it’s simply more competitive. And in that context, we are top. We can’t do more than that.
Plus, Jed Wallace IS a good player.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jan 2020 09:04:02
RHC so what you are saying is sack Bielsa and get a manager like George Grahem who is more defensively minded.
Did you in some way take any joy from last night? I was frustrated like most of us, but that game will be talked about for years, the emotion and passion from the fans and players was incredible!

As for Bamford he has 12 goals and will probably get 20, yes he misses a few, but if you asked for a striker at the start of the season you would want 20 goals.
Maybe the others went chipping in, did you think of that! No mention of Klich last night, even Razor Ruddock would have scored that.

Why don't you take some positives, top of league, playing pretty football and we have just signed a 20 mill striker. you must be a right bundle to have a beer with😜.

Agree3 Disagree0

29 Jan 2020 09:23:10
Bang right Dougie. Partic re Bam. He will get 20 this season, and while people will say he should have 60, it’s his total game that is so vital. I saw a passage of play last night where he single handedly pinned their CB’s and GK in their own def third with such energy and intensity. I’m surprised he managed to even walk off the pitch last night!

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jan 2020 09:45:24

Guys easy to be positive after a great come back like last night . Much harder to say it like it is . I deliberately stayed quiet after our recent defeats because they hurt like hell and of course I was happy with the result last night and passion to come back . But let’s face it if your lives depended on it would you be confident with Bam through one on one with the keeper or our defence keeping out a corner to the far post?

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jan 2020 11:07:57
My comment is based entirely on what we are seeing on the field, Leeds now play football . Let hoofball be someone else's domain, and for me the architect of this is Marcelo, Not saying he's perfect but I know for a fact I certainly not perfect.

The joy last night was incredible.

As near as dammit perfect football in the second half. Outstanding performances from Klich and Harrison, shame Klich missed that sitter.
Well done Bam Bam with his brace. Thought the officials yet again were absolutely shocking.
Rowett has done an impressive job with Millwall but we made them look like school boys in the 2nd half.
Very happy with that result.

How come officials have got that bad? It seems a regular problem. Not every now and then.

It really was a 2nd half masterclass wasn’t it OP!? Great to watch, and a great reaction to an average first half. That’s the character we will need to see this through. Let’s thrash Wigan and go on a run. (Although I hope we are not complacent vs Wigan) .

Ecstatic with tonight's result. Just one lingering moan. It's so obvious that we still rneed reinforcement at CB, and now would be a perfect time to do it - building from a position of strength - and using the momentum swing at the top of the table, at this point in the window. And yet we all know it ain't going to happen.

Cluey I believe we're maxed out FFP wise. Can see us getting rid of Miazek and Okannot in the next 48 hours but won't make much of a difference for this window. What we should be doing is providing Casey with more minutes.

I would like to see more of Casey also.

Casey/ Struijk should be sent on loan immediately. If they are not to be used this season then the best thing for them, and the club, is to get real tough, first team, League One experience.

Perhaps Leeds could have a go at crowd funding. The Canaries, with their tiny fan base, successfully raised Β£5m for their new training facility through that method - with the help of TIFOSY - a specialist sports investment company co-founded by Gianluca Vialli.

With our passionate global fan base, including a vast array of well-known rock and film stars, comedians etc. We should be able to raise a decent amount. Norwich did theirs through a bond scheme and I'm not sure how that plays with financial fair play, but there must be some model that wouldn't fall foul of the authorities.
