I know this has been covered before but just watched Take us home on my own, wife in bed,60 years old and tears streaming down my face! Such emotion! Bits I had seen before but all put together, too much for the old boy to take!

Bielsa is a winner make know mistake about that wif not come up just to make fixtures up. You know that's how Bielsa will look at it and iam with him MOT.

Anyone else think it’s a huge blessing in disguise to be out of the EFL Cup? Personally be happy to let the youngsters have the FA cup games for this season.

Anything to reserve our first team energies for the Premiership is fine with me.

Staying in the Prem has to be our priority. Hopefully the second string will take us far in the FA Cup though.

I'm hoping we get Cuisance. Not a better player than De Paul but better for us. We're playing quite well with a misfiring number 10. What will we do when we get the right one? We'd be quite unpleasant to play against my guess with the right number 10 learning from Bielsa, young, energetic and hungry for success. I think De Paul would interfere with the success of other players in the team. His heat map monumentally impressive but could be too many cooks (not Lewis) if he joins. Cuisance is the right move in George opinion. Then get James or Kent and we will surely challenge top 4.

Interesting point of view George, not sure I agree but has he thinking at least.
How you know DePaul is a better player than the French lad I don’t know.

29 Sep 2020 21:55:21
Corky I can't know for certain but my guess is that De Paul more complete player given his extra years, international appearances and higher valuation. However, that's not necessarily what we need. From the sound of it, he might over dominate and unbalance the play. I think this Cuisance could be the perfect Pablo replacement.

Fair play George. Interesting perspective, as Corky says, and you clarified the point very well, too.

I have to say this-but I think I may smell a rat why are we going after play who have no intentions of coming to leeds all this talk of this one coming only to be told that someone else is on the way this just seems a lot of wasted time on someone behalf 👀.

There is a big possibility that a lot of links were not as mature as the news outlets led us to believe.

Cuisance signed and Sessegnon on loan, please:

DePaul as a last ditch £27.5M take it or leave it Udinese or enjoy being being stuck with two salaries when you could hardly afford one.

I don’t want Kent, he’s not sounded keen on Leeds or fighting for his spot and he’s one who has basically only played division 1 football with a kilt on.

Other reservations. James does not come with an option to buy on the loan. Sessegnon either. this makes us paying for the privilege of turning around their careers to help Mourinho and The team that shall not be named. That doesn’t feel right.

Cantwell swells the squad. but not an upgrade on Klich, Pablo or even Dallas let alone holding options on being played out wide.

Think Tyler and Adam F’s time in Leeds shirts are shortening.

? Casillas might have been made captain versus Hull after hearing he’d be leaving so as a gracious act by the players and Bielsa?

The challenge with the chops and changes is keeping the squad interpersonal dynamic and team spirit while integrating the new signings.

Bielsa can do it. In him we trust.

I agree with regard to James. I don't like the idea of strengthening a player to hand back to Man U so would rather go for someone with a loan to buy or who wants to play for Leeds Utd.

Hello All

It's been a very long time since I've posted, however have been a daily visitor and reader of the site for many years. I remember the good old days, reading about Mad Mick's sister-in-law and how Jeff/ survivor knew Massimo etc, etc etc.

Although I haven't contributed to the site myself, I feel like I have lived the ups and downs with you guys over the years. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED last season and am so proud of the team. I'm still expecting to wake up at some point to find out that our Premier league return is just a dream. It's incredible.

Anyway I wanted to ask you all a question. In Bielsa head what do you think he is aiming for this season? Personally I'd love to finish in the top 10, however survival has to be the first priority. However, I honestly don't think Bielsa does survival or settling for mid table. In the championship the clear goal was automatic promotion or the play-offs. What's his goal now?

Hi Danny good to see you back, I believe he will want to see how far he can take us and may be would like to win something before he moves on and his old number two comes back to take us further if that’s possible.

DIB I believe he's aiming for CL qualification.

29 Sep 2020 18:47:25
I think he will take it one step at a time and avoid relegation first, top half second, Europe 3rd or title 4th. He hasn't demanded loads of new faces so that tells me he thinks that the current squad are capable of stepping up and what is the point of merely stepping up to scrape survival? He will want to do the best he can, play the right way and most of all continue to see his lads evolve as players and people.

Welcome back btw Danny :)

This Cuisance bloke better COME and be sensationally GOOD!
Bayern Munich owe us big time from 1975!

Believable1 Unbelievable0

29 Sep 2020 17:57:59
DocN Don't get me started on 1975. They could give us all their players on frees, put the club into voluntary liquidation and confess to criminal conspiracy but it still wouldn't suffice.

29 Sep 2020 18:48:00
So are you saying you don't like them then George?

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Sep 2020 19:21:37
Correct. If there was ever a stonewall penalty you'd teach referees and incorporate into VAR algorithms, it'd be Beckenbauer on Clarke. That was just one of the paid for, unfair decisions. Cheats do never prosper. There needs to be a sports hell. I'd run the football one. I'd savour the 1975 culprits. No mercy, just more heat. Clear enough now, Alf?

Cruisance and one more with pace
Maybe Sessignon as he fits Bielsa's style as a kind of wing back type.

de Paul
Cruisance
Cantwell
Dan James
I think realistically 2 out those 4 could join.

Either De Paul or the Cuisanne will do 4 me, 2nd option cheaper, would that mean we could afford someone else aswell, even Cantwell would be a good addition IMO, loan wise Sessignon would be my 1st choice, then James
We will have to wait and see

Final week of the window . I'm betting we go in one last time with a take it or leave it offer for RDP . If Udinese accept I see that being our last major permanent signing other than may be a cheap back up keeper as apparently Kiko is on his way ( yippee) . We will then loan either DJ or Sessegnon . If Udinese refuse we follow through on Cuisance and exercise Ryan Kent's release clause of £20m . Either way we are sorted and looking strong enough for a top half finish . MOT!

I know there is a lot of links to just about every player and their dog. Do think we seem to have a few irons in the fire regarding new signings. Maybe De Paul had been one we did want but think we got to except it is very unlikely to happen, personally think his club had no intention of selling him to us unless we paid over the odds. The lad Kerk from Holland and young French lad from Munich seem more realistic options, would prefer Dan James over Ryan Kent from the British options.

Agree1 Disagree0

29 Sep 2020 09:27:32
Leeds have said Kerk isn’t a target . A few months ago I would have agreed with you about DJ over Kent . But Kent has come on strong and is much more versatile than DJ who is a bit of a one trick pony .

29 Sep 2020 10:33:37
James over Kent for me, James has been around better players, Kent doing well against league 1 defenders
IMO.
