What pees me off is that we (the fans) who are the only people who have an emotional and financial investment in the club, from in my case about 5 years old until the day I die, get treated like idiots.
We should be told every last detail of everything that happens at the club. From how much a player cost to buy and how much he is paid to why an assistant coach has been suspended, then we can make minds up wether it was deserved or not.
IE if two players are equally useless and one earns a grand a week and the other ten grand then we can aim more of our stick towards the higher earner!
I think most of us are worried about what has happened today but I'll tell you what it must be so boring being the supporter of just about any other club in the country.
Didn't someone once say there's only one thing worse than being talked about and that's not being talked about! ;)

can see what your saying however we are a bussinees and sinethings are best left hidden. if players wages were open it might cause unrest or fuure players demanding more as sos and so is on etc. fans should be in the open bu I would not want laymen (whic sadly we are interm of running a club and national busiessness) knowing inns and out of my company. it could cause more harm than good. and blindly follow a club we love is par of the fun

As more news/rumours are coming out of the sacking of ST, it seems more and more confusing! Only reading yestaday that NR had a clause in his contract, that HE picked the team! His words in a article on news now! If we are lead to believe, that he couldn't pick the leading goal scorer because 12 goals for the season won him a new contract, then that explains why Morrison started all the games he did!! The old saying of the truth being stranger than fiction is being played out in front of the long suffering fans and followers of Leeds united!

What worrys me is if redders walks or gets sack after all he's tried to do mowatt cook and byram will all want out!

What the smeg is going on? This cannot be for the greater good of the club players and supporters. Poor Thompson hasn't put foot wrong. House of cards about to topple now with Childs leaving only 2 weeks earlier? Maybe Giles was right and the MC needs to get the out of Leeds?

Believable3 Unbelievable0

02 Apr 2015 20:46:26
We haven't heard the reasons for this yet. As with anything, it has to be for cause or with big pay out. If all he had to was wait out the end of the season and not extend the contract, you'd have to be mad to sack him without cause.

I agree thommo and readers have done a good job and the timing seems daft. That's why I think there must be something behind all this.

I'm stunned by the sacking of ST but not surprised. I think Redders's days are numbered now. He has saved Leeds by doing things his way but has obviously upset MC by his player selections.
I fear for the club again, just when things seemed to be stabilising, the applecart is overturned again.
As long as MC is in charge there won't be any stability at the club, I'm grateful to him for getting us out of the financial mire but unless he changes his attitude towards the playing side I'd rather he sold up and left.

It been so quite on the football front for the last 2 weeks and now the circus has arrived in town. We don't do things by half at Leeds United, a key member of the training staff dismissed with out any explanation and a goal scoring forward told he cannot play because if he scores more goals than twelve his contract as to be extended, how bizarre can it get. It's a good thing that the threat of relegation as gone otherwise these actions could have been disastrous for the club. We have endured a worrying 2014/2015 season when will this farce finish and the football take centre stage.

03 Apr 2015 11:38:00
That's the bit I can't get my head round - if he scored goals we have to offer him a 1 year extension - surely if he's scoring goals we should do that anyway?!?!?!?! He must be on a right wage if Cellino is cacking his pants at the thought of another 12 month contract.

Qin am sick of the boardroom antics at Elland Road, it's just not on to sack someone with no explanation, and disrespectful to Neil Redfearn - makes you wonder what their agenda is.Now it is rumoured that pressure is put on Redfearn not to play Antenucci; shades of the Gary Kelly fiasco - just when things seem to be stable, something else happens.

Sorry guys but I keep reading the same old.
Nobody seems to want to know what's going on at ER so I'm logging out before I get into trouble with the owners.
Last tip is I have a horse running at Lingfield tomorrow in the 3.45 and his name is Complicit
And also Terravista at Randwick Sydney in the TJ Smith
I would back Terravista as I own Captain Rio the sire of both.
Bye and nice knowing you all.

{Ed013's Note - Is this Survivor again?}

02 Apr 2015 18:25:40
ED 13 what ever did happen to the man known as "Survivor", did we all have to ban him in the end?

I don't know why but I am feeling really sad about today's events, not because ST has gone, or the fact the club doesn't seem to want NR either (which as the guy is performing seems mad), or that we cann't play Micro, but I think it is because I suddenly realize that if MC is going to run OUR club like this then it all looks kinda black, maybe tomorrow at the game I will feel better but, dunno just feels wrong to me what has happened, you know it ain't playing fair with people.

Agree5 Disagree1

{Ed013's Note - Was here to wind people up mate. I am fuming with today's events and wouldn't blame Neil if he walked away. I said the same when things went stale for Grayson, he should have walked and then told the full story. Today is another clear indication that Cellino and Co don't have a clue what they are doing! Why would you break up a partnership that works so well. I fear for the future and the youngsters of Leeds United }

02 Apr 2015 22:51:40
Ed don't worry about the futures of the youngsters. Their careers will be great, just most likely not at Leeds.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed013's Note - Yes, fair point}

02 Apr 2015 17:55:30
I think cellino has already lined up a replacement for redfearn next season, possibly poyet, and now Leeds are safe from relegation he is trying to cut cost ie firing every single person. He may give redfearn the chop and bring in the new manager by the end of the season to give him time to work with the squad and to plan for next year.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

02 Apr 2015 17:47:14
I dnt know reasons for thompson suspension but for redders nt to know what's going on leaves him in a untenerble situation timing is just stupidity but if turns out to be a big reason and valid one for his suspension then let's move on and if redders is to be put back in charge of acadamey with new man in charge of first team he better be a big proven name to applease us fans!! can't see redders staying if that's the case he gotvto much dignity and pride to be treated like this shame on u cellino u better have a dam good reason and plan!!!

It is possible that Thompson has done or said something out of order. Short of that possibility then he has only had a positive impact on the club and Redders and that makes this a bonkers move designed to give Redders the push. I'm beginning to think our original instinct to chase Cellinio out of the car park was the correct one!

Believable4 Unbelievable1

02 Apr 2015 15:09:36
So Redfearn has said he has to have a long hard think about his future. I really don't understand the poor timing of this decision, we finally had some stability, it's really frustrating because it could mean all this progress goes to waste and we start next season the same as this one. Redfearn and Thompson have produced results does that mean nothing anymore?

Believable3 Unbelievable1

02 Apr 2015 15:05:38
If Neil Redfearn can keep his head when all about him are losing theirs, he is, obviously, a legend .

The man has single handedly saved us from closure and invested £20 mill of his own money and you have this opinion.
In a few years when we are back where we belong you and people like you will be singing his praise.
Totally pathetic.
I give up

Agree2 Disagree1

02 Apr 2015 19:30:30
Pathetic? If you believe he has invested 20 mil because of his love for our club than you are a fool. As for saving us from closure, I supppose you have the same view on Mr Bates then? We are Leeds United, a club who should be treating people right and proper. This man is as arrogant as humanly possible and has no respect for anyone. Maybe Redfern is not the right man for the job and Thomson either, but to go about things in the way he has today is utterly disgraceful. It goes back to when he sacked dozens of kitchen and background staff because of cost cutting. I wonder what salary his sons are taking? So, get your head out of the clouds mate, Cellino is and never will be our saviour as all he cares about is himself.
Totally pathetic.
I wish he would give up.
MOT.

He brought in Antenucci also, just doesn't want to have a 33 year old on our books as that will be how old he'll be if he gets another year

If Cellino has put £20 million of his own money. Why does the club owe himalaya £12million. It's all there in the accounts.

Why has Steve Thompson gone? He's only been there 5 minutes .

Believable1 Unbelievable0

02 Apr 2015 13:56:19
Just read Phil Hay saying the club have "suspended" Steve T and that they will not renew his contract and that puts NR in doubt clearly.

I have got to say this is just really bad management, when you are doing well as we have been since Jan and the business is going well why oh why do we have to up-set everything again as normal? Are people just thick? We have 7 games to go so keep everything focused on the football and then in May do what you need to do.

You just do not run any business this way, I am normally Mr glass half full but it does keep pissing me off when it seems we just want to make everything harder for ourselves.

So how will NR and the team feel now, ST has helped for sure so what is the problem, if down to MC then for god's sake mate just sell us and get lost as you seem to have no clue and it appears to be all about your ego.

The last 10 games or so we have improved significantly which is down to coaching as have had no new players so why would you change things and upset everything again?

Gutted really cause it is another step back.

I'm not a reddders fan but ffs??
It just goes to show what a winker cellino could be!
Leave well alone for now!
I like Cs passion etc but not sure he is totally clued up?

02 Apr 2015 15:38:03
I agree too. Our form over the last 10 or so games has been better than most of the division. Why on earth rock the boat now just as the team and management are clicking. Yes, we are approaching the end of the season but with that enthusiasm going into pre-season, we could have been serious promotion contenders next season.

Leeds United, more of a soap opera than Eastenders and Corrers put together, only less believable. Albatross it I'm off down 'spoons!

Three seasons at Leeds and apart from Roy Keane only player I saw who could match up to Viera. Batty along with Sheridan my fav Leeds players but no room for sentiment when picking a team. McAllister has the edge on Shezza too.
