I am happy for Ekuban to get his goal, been along time waiting. Only watched extended highlights but a good hit and hopefully he will keep his place for the rest of the season. I feel he is a decent forward and will come on with more game time, I know he should have done better with other 2 chances but he getting in that position to score is a good thing. He is far more mobile than lassoga and hope he and Roberts can make a decent front 2, would still like lufc to buy another big money striker too. I also like when saiz came on and he passed the ball straight away a couple of times, his vision for pass to Ekuban was class and shows one quick pass can be more effective than trying to go past 4 players. I think he just needs to have confidence in his team mates. I feel Pearce should have started, PH was concerned about their winger amiobe, but he needs to play now when no major pressure of getting promoted to see if we need to buy new LB. Think it should have been beradi on right instead of Dallas, guess Denton and Anita not in his plans? Looking like alioski improving but needs to work on hitting the target, gets in good position but keeps blazing over bar.

Pretty much agree with you Shad. So many players are good but -? Heckys task is knowing which ones have a hidden 10% that can still come out. If Ekuban doesn't turn into a goal machine I still believe there is a role for him upfront, in a 4-4-2, with his pace and energy. I too was surprised he dropped Pearce. He has to be tested and now is a perfect time.

It is criminal not to play 2 in front at home.

I back Heck decision on TP. Last thing we want is his confidence to be affected by a seasoned pro like Amiobe. No doubt Fulham also have a capable tricky right winger so it might be same again. So long as TP gets more game time before end of season because he looks promising. As for Ekuban, more goals will come as he adapts to the English game. He just has to stay fit and keep learning. I can see Dalby pushing him soon which is also a good thing. With correct player retention, dead wood release and good recruitment in the summer especially in defense and midfield we should be playoff candidates for 2019.

George I’m pretty sure you said more or less the same this time last season? One day you’ll get it right😎

I did Cork you are correct. However, just because I said this does not mean that my ideal was executed. It was not executed. Not recruiting an improvement on Cooper was plain foolish and as for the recruitment of Wiedwald can't describe the amount of ineptitude in that decision. From all accounts some of these younglings popping up are going to improve us. Bailey already has. Pontus, Pablo and Saiz need to stay. We also must continue to play 4-4-2.

Only jesting George! You’re right but not necessarily about the 442. All depends on what players we recruit.
