Agree,Priskin looks a ringer for Paynter, absolute crap, two poor teams on this showing.

Don't know much about Priskin, but I do know that judging any footballer on one game is a pretty narrow minded thing to do.

Eric Lichaj £1,000,000

Why are people still living in the past? Should we also bring back Lorimer, Clarke and the Gray brothers? Maybe they could still do a job?
And 4 million for a keeper? We've spent 200k all year, with 500k committed for the option on Pugh. You really think we should spend 6 times our season's budget to date on any keeper, let alone one who's not even as good as Lonergan? Have you been 'pass the brain cell' again and lost?

Hello Leeds fans I am a Nottingham Forest fan, but have come on your page to show we are not all morons..you walloped us on Tuesday and could easily have had more than 4...we are a team in trouble who made the mistake of getting rid of Billy Davies. your win was a fitting tribute to Gary Speed a true gentleman...Well done

Nice to see honesty and integrity and a warm thank you.

Always thought of Davies as being a bit irritating but he did a good job for you guys. Was a bit surprised when he was sacked.

I can see why Billy could appear irritating, however he knows his stuff. From fighting relegation one season under Calderwood, we suddenly finished 3rd & 6th the following two seasons. All he was asking for was for a couple more players to make that final push but he just wasn't backed. We then appointed McClaren who despite his England fiasco is a well respected and proven coach and didn't back him either. We now have a manager who has not acheived a lot and probably won't with us either. Think yourselves lucky you have a decent manager. Anyway enough of this, I'm going onto the Derby rumours page now to slag off the sheep lol

Highly-rated Cliftonville striker Rory Donnelly is refusing to let speculation linking him with a move to England become a distraction.
The 19-year-old is hot property at the moment, with his return of 14 goals this season not going unnoticed.
Donnelly is now being touted as the next teenage star to make their mark in English football and with the senior Northern Ireland side.
The youngster is flattered to be the subject of such intense speculation, but insists he will not allow himself to get caught up in the transfer storm.
"I'm not concentrating on all that talk," Donnelly told the Belfast Telegraph.
Concentration
"I'm concentrating on my game and helping the team. Whenever the time comes to make a decision on my future, I'll turn my thoughts to it then.
"We have great players here at the club who are teaching me a lot of things so all I can do is keep working hard.
"Chris Scannell, the manager (Tommy Breslin) and the whole team have really helped my game improve.
"With regards to my future, I'll just wait and see what happens."
It is understood that League One outfit Brentford currently lead the chase for Donnelly, with the Bees having already lodged two bids.
Interest
There are, however, a number of sides higher up the Football League ladder also keeping a close eye on the youngster.
Leeds, Birmingham, Burnley and Peterborough would all be happy to take him to the Championship.
Meanwhile, Sunderland, Queens Park Rangers, Everton and Swansea are said to be keen on offering him a Premier League opportunity.
It has even been suggested that Chelsea may be tempted to join the hunt, with the Blues excited by Donnelly's potential.
Should a switch to England fail to materialise, Scottish Premier League sides St Johnstone and Kilmarnock are waiting to pounce, with it looking increasingly likely that a bidding war will break out in January.

I have slated SG all season for continuing to play Howson out of position. NOW FFS either play him in this system where he can blossom or drop him it's not rocket science!!!
He is clearly been a passenger in any other system!

I think there's a reason Grayson's in charge and not you.

I am the original post and I agree - when I read it back that was the first thing I thought. However, this is a banter site and so I am entitled to my opinion which isn't as amateurish as you may think. I have a similar background to SG.

I think, to a degree, Grayson's hands were tied. Becchio's injury left us with Paynter as the only option in a 4-5-1, McCormack's the wrong size and type of player for the lone striker role, and it's not really Paynter's game either (not really sure what is his game...).

New centre back imminent:
Ken Bates will sign a 6 month deal with Leeds to address the centre back problem. Leeds manager Simon Grayson said:
' Ken's a handy centre back and reads the game well. He's also got a great leap for defending set pieces. He hasn't trained for a while so we are looking to get him match fit. He will feature in upcoming behind closed door friendlies at Thorpe Arch. Hopefully he will come into the first team picture around January. Loosing Alex Bruce and And the issues with Andy ( O'Brien) we are a bight light in that department and Ken can come straight into the team and make a difference. If he does well we will sit down and look at agreeing something for the longer term. The good thing is he's hungry and wants to prove himself as a centre half'.
Some fans have expressed a concern at Bates' lack of pace and the resort to yet another free transfer. Time will tell if it's the right decision.

If he's as tight in defence as he is with his wallet i think this would be a great signing.

Im sorry to say that Mr Ken Bates is unavailable untill January due to Santa Clause Commitments. I am his agent and I am looking for the same money as Andy O Brian but I want a clause in my contract stating that if West Ham come in for me then I will never play again for Leeds!

The high praise Leeds fans have received worldwide for their 11 minute tribute to Gary Speed (MHDSRIP) is a credit to LUFC, the fans themselves, Yorkshire and the city of Leeds. Check the comments on the Forest video on YT. People know now what it means to be from Leeds and to be a Leeds United fan. It's not a competition but I truly believe no-one else can match our enduring spirit.
We love you Gary. We'll meet again.

rumours coming out of leeds are that in jan there is a chance of 2 south american players coming in initially on loan but with a view to perm depending on how they/leeds do not expensive players but they have dual nationalities therefore dont require work permits! 1 of them is to be believed to be gaston fernandez an argentine striker/attacking midfielder, the other as yet not known.ive just heard that the other is cristian pellerano a defensive midfielder again an argentine but also has italian nationality too!
Ok. Got the latest news on this rumour, the argentine and brazillian season is almost at end for a month or so then they have a summer championship thing going on. The names in the above paragraph maybe a little out of the league for leeds in price unless we can get a loan move, but there is definitely substance in the fact of some south americans coming in on trial (bates's agent friend).
So expect some trialists to be playing in the upcoming reserves fixtures as leeds now only play friendlies and not in the reserve league. The stories that are coming out, are that unlike the last 2 lots of trialists who were mainly youngsters, this group are meant to be mainly aged 22-28 and all with a chance of getting an E.U passport. So basically these are recognised players in their respective league but have probably no international appearances.
R.I.P Gary Speed.

The mate of ken bates your talking about is the former Newcastle defender marchelino who is now a scout and agent and who recommended luciano becchio to Leeds just by coincidence not disregarding your rumour both these players play for estuindantes who are having an average season over in brazil and gaston Fernandez has been hit with a 4 month ban for walking out on the Mexican tigres this has not started yet so don't think that one will come off but it's right too say we are looking at the south American Market more as a club we were close to signing santiargo silva from uruguay last winter transfer window
