Does anybody know a site where I can import the new seasons fixture list to my gmail calender or outlook. I appreciate sky will probably move most of them but its a start.

Its for the wife more than me so she knows not to attempt to arrange anything that will conflict with a match.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - you do realise that what that will actually do is convince her to arrange things for then just so she can have ammunition for later arguments.}

ED01
Even though your correct I m getting worried about you, your even thinking like a woman now ha ha

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - probably explains why I am single, I know how little their mind actually works. I mean how their little minds work. No, wait, still something not right there somewhere.}

Found it! do exportable and updating fixture calenders for any team. It works on apple, google or outlook calenders so now the wife has no excuse!

Strange but true!

It's in the Irish times that MC has told the hock NOT to select Paddy Kenny, apparently MC believes the number 17 is bad luck and kenny was born on May 17th.
He even removed the No17 seats at Calgari replacing them with 16a & 16b, massimo also fears the colour purple for some unknown reason.

I wonder if the real reason Kenny was dropped is because he's 17 stone ha ha

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree with MC. A 17 stone keeper is bad luck.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe paddys looking at reaching 27 stone then the opposition wouldn't be able to see the net ha ha

Is it the bl***y football league holding up the lifting of the transfer embargo. Has someone got it in for us again?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

60years
It's looking that way mate, once bank account was unfrozen I thought it was just a formality but it's taking forever ;(

What really frustrates me is how the club seems at times to treat fans pretty poorly by their reluctance to keep us informed about some of the more serious issues. For example this transfer embargo nobody seemed to know firstly that we were under one, I am still not sure whether we ever were, and if we were that it might have been lifted, or that it is going to be lifted soon. I cannot understand why they just don't be honest about these sorts of things, I think it shows a lack of respect at a time where they are trying to get fans back on board after what was a poor season, and trying to sell season tickets at a time when nobody can be sure what quality of signings are coming.

I am trusting MC to get it right on and off the pitch but we need and deserve better communication, just keep us informed good or bad and the fans will respect the board for doing so.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

"What really frustrates me is how the club seems at times to treat fans pretty poorly by their reluctance to keep us informed about some of the more serious issues"

Have you actually written to the club and asked to be kept informed then?

Do you have shares in the company?

Unfortunately, like the rest of us, we are just paying customers and you either go to a game and pay and get what you get or you don't?

Do you think your local Tesco's (or whoever) is going to let you know when they have major issues just because you may shop there? Do you think they will tell you every time they get a new member of staff, or even management?

Cellino probably doesn't know you even exist, let alone who you are, along with thousands of the rest of us.

Watch the OS, boring as it might be these days, it's the first place to find TRUE news about Leeds United.

Ok, things are tough, we have to make ends meet, so which players have been cheap and really performed. Here's my few - Strachan, Chapman, Radebe, Hasselbank, Bechio, Snodgrass

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Cantona?

Agree0 Disagree0

And McCormack - £350,000 is hardly excessive these days, and we look like getting more for him than any other player we have sold in the last 10 years or so?

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm sure MC and his director of football will bring new (probably cheaper) players to balance the books and some may turn out to Chapmans, Bechios. and that's how football clubs have to be without an oligarch in charge.

I'm just a little worried at how some of the players have recently been dropped. I know they have to go but isn't it worth trying to sell some rather than voiding contracts. Pelts going for nothing, Hudders would have paid 200,000 easy to get him back (they sold him to us for significantly more than that). Big Zal going straight to Rangers, surely again we could have made a few bob.

Agree0 Disagree0

White
I know where your coming from but say pelts was on 15k a week and it took 10 weeks to sell him or even longer would it be worth the hassle and poor moral within the sqaud?

Agree0 Disagree0

True. We never really know what happens behind closed doors. They may of being trying to offload for months.

Agree0 Disagree0

Got him from Leicester didn't we. Who cares anyway we've got rid!

Ok so Nobody ever heard of him Hockaday he and Catbone have found an 18 yr old gem at Leeds already.
Come on let's give this team a chance.
Why didn't we play a few more kids last season.
Please remember Alan Smith was on £80 a week when he made his debut.
Passion and belief and love for the badge.
We will be back where we belong.
It's not about cash.

What's this kids name?

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jul 2014 18:49:01
Skelton
They think he has star potential and good luck to the 18 yr old.
More kids please.

Agree0 Disagree0

More premier league standard players please. The kids are ok but they aren't promotion winners

Agree0 Disagree0

Mitchell
So you've watched all the kids on a regular basis eh!
Also your qualified to judge who's premiership standard?

I'd send your CV into MC ASAP your just the type of guy he's looking for lol

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jul 2014 22:53:40
You're correct Astori football is not about cash. And you're also correct that we will get back to where we belong without it. Passon and belief will do it for us. Oh Sh*t sorry, these days don't gifted footballers expect big transfer fees and huge wages. Not at Leeds though surely!!

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Jul 2014 07:13:42
Theres a lot of kids playing first team football for major clubs all over the world. If they are good enough why not. When the first get in team they are not on big money look at Sterling, Barkley etc. its just possible Skelton is a future star, only know if you play him. Give youth a chance is what I say otherwise why do we bother training them up.

Agree0 Disagree0

To poster number 3;

How do we know whether an 18year old is NOT Promotion material until we have actually tried them!

Agree0 Disagree0

Essex, I don't think we are qualified to make that judgement.

Come to think of it, most of us are not qualified or experienced to make any sort of judgement on how to run a football team or on players abilities.

With that in moind, no opinions, no comments just watch the team and complain about ticket prices and attendances.

But come to think of it, we shouldn't evebn comment on those as we don't know how much is costs to run the club, or how other fans finaces sit in order to get to games.

Everyone shhhhhhhhhhh.

Agree0 Disagree0

DS
Although I agree in principle, free speach comes to mind. Also if I'm paying good money to watch my beloved team and I don't agree with something I'm going to voice my opinion, after all if we ALL shhhhhhh ER on match days would be one sad place ;(

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with you totally, I was just trying to point out that we all have our opinions and concerns reagrding the players and club, and whether or not we are qualified or not, will always do so.

My conecrns stem around the fact thatt essentially we have taken a developemnet squad to Italy. No dopubt we will add while we are out there, but we do need to add with good standard players, be it premiership standard or not.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Jul 2014 15:21:35
More youth please.
Batty
Speed
Kelly
Smith
woodgate
milner
delph
lennon
harte
howson
robinson
Byram
Mowatt

I won't mention the aussie name!

and i'm sure many many more

All the above played in the PL and all would walk into any of our teams over the last 10 years. so let's not start knocking the youth.

I for one hope we have a few more coming through

Yeah your right but he could only take the players he wanted over to Italy as we had an embargo over our heads.
I don't think massimo will spend millions on players I'm afraid but he's spotted quite a few young talented players over he last few years.
Hopefully it will continue given a Little time :)

I wouldn't be overly worried about RM leaving if I thought we could attract a replacement, but I do feel that with the present coaching set up we are no longer an attractive proposition. Hope I am wrong but the appointment of Hockaday sends out all the wrong signals

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think you have a good and valid point Made in Leeds. According to the Yorkshire Post Ross put a transfer request in the day after Hockaday got appointed. My thinking is we won't be trying to attract the bigger names, which isn't such a bad thing, as the bigger names we attract tend to be "Has Beens" or players just wanting a wage packet. The positive I'm trying to draw is hopefully we will get players who want to play for our club and want to be part of our regeneration. Fingers crossed it works.

If Warnock is on his way out surely Aidy White must be going too. He has got some pace but I have seen opponents run past him on occasions. His only possible position is full back but he is lightweight heading and tackling are a problem and his positional sense is poor. He did have potential but doesn't seem to have recovered confidence from the Arsenal game a few seasons back when he was absolutely demolished by their wing play. Kisnorbo was injured in the same game. He has been tried on both the right and left of midfield/wing but he cannot use his pace effectively.Runs into too many blind alleys, gets knocked off the ball and cannot cross. He has produced occasional gems but not enough and inconsistent. Its sad but he is a young lad who has failed to fulfil his potential.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

02 Jul 2014 12:30:19
All this negativity about McCormack leaving is ridiculous.
He's 27, had one good season and we got him for less than £1 million. how people think him leaving for £8+ Million is bad? Give me a break haha.

Also stop moaning about these player leaving, you were all wanting them to go end of last season.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

02 Jul 2014 13:08:40
Teemkill well said, some people just come on here to moan about anything. I hope we get rid of more dead wood inc Who ate all the pies Kenny!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Top post, the players that have gone have not got us promoted, they will never get us promoted, clearly a fresh approach is needed. So all you posters who have been shouting to give youth a try I feel your day is here. Remember the last youth that was given it's chance, Woodgate, Kewell, Smith etc I seem to think we gave them our support and they performed and boy did they perform. Come on Leeds!

Agree0 Disagree0

I cert don't blame leeds if it is 10 million.let him go.
my worry is we are now shopping in netto, it was tesco last few years and harrods was 20 years ago now.
now if your lucky you can get something cheap and nice in netto but its rather bland and becomes boring.but its cheap.
welcome to shopping at lufc.
we are looking to do a watford.it may work but prob wont.they had a good coach, we have a netto man.
mind you his wife now goes to harrods as she can't believe her luck.
so here we go, 4 or 5 italians in on loan, a player who can't get in maidenhead anymore and we still have a jewell in the form of noel hunt.sorry I ment tool. shrew leeds

Agree0 Disagree0

To Shrewleeds, we may have been shopping at Harrods 20 years ago, but it was with a Visa card whose bill we could not pay. I seem to think some of our best signings have not been the most expensive. Chapman, Strachan, . The chief, Hasselbank, Snodgrass, Bechio . Just a few anymore suggestions?

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jul 2014 19:07:42
Last season most of us agreed that a lot of the players were crap and we should start again.

I think I am starting to see what MC is trying to do

Get rid of the experience players who are paid pretty well but didn't cut it last season and remove people who are likely to have strong opinions if not in the team.
Not Ross of course but 8-10 m for him is well worth it, is he going to have a season as good as his last one ever again? The odds against it so good business.
I have no doubt we will bring in some good younger, quicker , players who we can mould into a team, don't need super stars just a team this is fit, quick, united, knows what it is trying to do and wants to do it.
So I reckon about 13-14 gone/going now but we really only need to buy 4-5 and try 1-2 from our youth teams, that will save us loads and we should be a much tighter unit. We have to become hard to beat in my opinion and you build up from that.
Keep the faith

Agree0 Disagree0

At last a sensible post! For at least the last year most on here have been wanting the deadwood cleared, now it's happening it's all doom and gloom. MC will have a plan, and Hock at least deserves a chance. 5/6 new, younger, hungrier ( and yes, cheaper) players and things will look very different!

Supporter flags at Elland Road (on OS) good idea or not?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We all kind of knew Ross would be going. Transfer request has been submitted which means leeds save money as Ross would have got a percentage of the fee. Good luck Ross, step forward erm. Noel hunt?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

02 Jul 2014 11:18:01
Ross has handed in a transfer request, we definely need to invest massively into the squad if we stand a chance of going up, not looking good losing our captain and our best player

Just seen the pics(on o/s) of the training camp, lovely backdrop to train in, hope it inspires the lads too put in some much needed graft! Could do with that embargo lifting, then some of the doubters might see a bit of activity on incoming transfers!Shame about Rosco, but the rest I agree on the wage bill did need some serious cutting!

What is happening at LUFC, have to wash own kit, have to take packed lunches to TA, there is cost cutting and taking the P***. Players very unhappy.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Rover, who, apart from the gutter press, says the players are unhappy? Apart that is from the ones who are leaving. Surgery was required, Dr Cellino is applying it but that does not make him Frankenstein

Its obvious what MC is doing. These young Italians must only be on 1-5k a week, players like Warnock will be on 5-9+ Silvestri will be cheaper than Kenny for example. If they can play possession football I won't give a dam :)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

£1-£5k a week your just guessing, you haven't got a clue what Italians are on.
We could all guess things then it wouldn't be a rumour/banter site?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok so 19 year old reserve Caglairi players will be on 5K + . Silvestri must be on at least 10 as he played three times last season

How mant that went are poss first teamers?
How many do we need to buy? 5-6 I reckon. that's a lot of change
