Do you remember that white cabin come trailer shop that we used to queue in one door and out the other, all the Leeds stuff that was crammed in there for sale, we used to have to get there really early to get a good look at what's new, and there wasn't a lot new not like now with the big shop, I think it's still there and sells old programs now, but I go into the ground from the car park so I don't see it now but I'm sure someone told me it's still there. I got a signed picture that I still have of Duncan Mackenzie and one of Brian Flynn! Great days with my Dad.

{Ed001's Note - probably Mick, when he is lying in a heap on the floor of the pub, it doesn't really matter which way up it is....}

03 Jul 2017 18:07:51

Just like to know what our overseas fans on this site think of Radz pay per view live streaming service for the new season, Aussie and corkie to name but 2, also how much do yo think the cost will be for tuning in on match day?, for me personally I think it's a great move, I would also open it up to UK fans if they know in advance home and away games are sold out.

Do you all remember Peter Swan who played for us in around 1984/5 well he works for a shop fitting company owned by John Beresford who used to play for Newcastle, when Leeds came down from the Prem and a year or so later we lost Thorp Arch they were working in Thorp Arch stripping it down and I worked for a company who supplied materials to them, well John said to me there is some pictures signed on the walls in the hall if you want hh, he said they could be worth something, Pete Swan jumped in and said you will be lucky it's only Beeny's and Brolins that left and that's because no one wanted them! Lol.

Who the man Peter Swann. The goal scoring CB or occasional forward! Thems were the days. We were shit then but it mattered more than now? At least the players cared.

They certainly did mate, heart on their sleeve then, and if I remember right it was hard battles on and off the pitch then, you certainly got your money's worth then eh, I used to get two badges every home match, still got them now.

Curahee you missed Mark Beeny (I think that's how you spell his name) our wonderful prolific keeper. I remember sitting in the crowd and when he came to kick it everyone around put their hands over their faces! Not good! Sorry Beeny

I remember going to ER when I was a kid, have to be around '95.
All the players came out for a training session on what's now the car park. Beenys Land Rover broke down and he had to call his wife, and Lucas and massinga arrived together in a tiny rusty metro. everyone was thinking who the hell are these pair! Ah innocent times! 😂

Oh mate now your talking, my Dad used to take me there when Bremner and co were training in those blue bottom tight on the ankles and their black footy boots, they were all black in them days, no shiny colours and rubber studs! My Dad and I would be looking through that old diamond shaped fencing that was all that was separating us from them and we used to do the same thing right up until the mid eighties. I think of those days every time I walk through that car park and down those little set of steps to the ground! Fantastic memories them mate thanks for reminding me.

Your welcome Speedyg, but how good would it be if we had him again eh? I get what others are saying about the buying the hard lads we had but I think the Championship is getting a tad more skilful than it used to be in the days of Vinny and Batty so I think he would be a spot on fit for today's football. Heres a question - out of all the past greats, which one would make the most impact today if we could sign one

I think Paul Madeley but in a centre back capacity, I would include others from the revie era but because of the sheer aggression of them they would be under a constant suspension

Kray. In this team a McAllister in his prime would make us genuine title contenders. So he'd be my choice.

The chief, Lucas of course. Him and Pontus at the back would be pretty formidable. Then Dorigo to replace Taylor.

Thomas brolin! No? Ok, just me then. Seth Johnson? Ok, ok my last attempt. Roque junior! Got there in the end at lads?

The Chief or Kewell (at his peak) .

Agree with George. Macca one of the most complete midfielders in last 25 years. OK he couldn't head but his passing was sublime and scored a fair few. A close 2nd Woodgate. Best we had since the Revie days.
