What I think is a hypocritical is someone agreeing with this post after saying players should be paid, if that's not kicking the team what is, and now we are back to the same old thing you can't possibly be a Leeds fan if you say this or that, or be you don't go to the ground, Buy a pint or eat a fat pie, rollicks, I traveled 4 hours buy car to get to the ground and four house to get home, don't drink or eat fat pies, and I not a Leeds fan because I say it as I see it, ROLLICKS your all up your now Axxx.

Whiteman, Don't rise to it, I get fed up with a lot of who's a real fan on here. I also get pissed off with the experts who know all the answers when we don't crush so called easy oppostion. It's game! yuo win you lose. You feel great when you win, rubbish when you lose. We are Leeds it's alaways hard. MOT.

In the past 3 matches

Leeds have scored 4 goals in 70 minutes with Pablo on the pitch playing

In the other 200 minutes without Pablo the Leeds team have NOT scored at all worryingly

Also another stat when we score the FIRST goal of the match we have almost always won or occasionally drawn very rarely losing

Conclusion

1.Pablo needs to START matches so we can score first and get a positive result

And

2.The rest of the Leeds United players need to raise their game and be more efficient in creating and finishing goalscoring chances

Bring on the 6 game sprint.

If only Pablo was young enough to play 2 games a week.
He isn't and isn't 100% fit either.

I am OK with bringing him on when needed as it also usually means opponents are more tired so he is even more effective.

If only he was 5 yrs younger!

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Jul 2020 20:04:50
If only I was five years younger.
But I agree Pablo is a class act but unfortunately can’t play the two games a week. Unless Bielsa thinks otherwise?

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jul 2020 22:27:00
Yeah agree Canada and Corky that 2 games a week maybe beyond Pablo now because of his age etc.

Hopefully Pablo. has at the very least very influential 45 mins minimum in each of the final 6 matches.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jul 2020 22:28:18
Pablo just might, maybe, be remembered in the same category as Strach, and that is a mighty accolade! Long live Pabs!

So if we get:
12 points, Brentford need 18 from 18
9 points, Brentford need 15 from 18
6 points, Brentford need 12 from 18

Think this is right isn't it?
A big ask for them, I think.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

02 Jul 2020 15:40:50
Correct Brighty
I feel we may need to win 3 matches and draw 2

But hopefully Brentford start drawing games or better still losing instead of winning.

02 Jul 2020 16:58:22
Of course this is also assuming WBA also get at least 1 point more than us.

02 Jul 2020 20:12:41
Can Brentford win 9 on the bounce? I doubt it but they have on paper an easy enough schedule and obviously are doing well since restart. Looking at many permutations the odds are we will come top two. Then again the odds were favourable this point in time last season and everything went tits up. However I’m quietly confident of collecting a monkey off Chris Chris 😉.

Derby could be key, they play current top 3. We need to at least match the other 2 against them.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

02 Jul 2020 13:21:05
Aye. Derby have won 5 in a row. They could well take points from Brom, Forest and Brentford, which would be nice.

Just thinking out loud.
If a player (or players decide that in their division, on a decent contract they are sitting pretty, keep being picked BUT if the team get promotion then their cushy number could be under threat.
Question? Would it behove such player (s) to not try, quite as hard, to not pass as accurately, not to run as hard. After all they have families and mortgages, so would be protecting No 1.
This division, guaranteed every week by a loyal manager but a higher division and they might not cut it so beginning a tumble down to obscurity.
This is just and only a moral dilemma to ponder. What would you do?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

02 Jul 2020 12:35:16
Leo. If we don't go up they won't be guaranteed a place as Bielsa will leave. Plus as we've all said before when Bamford doesn't score. "Effing hell that was harder to miss" I don't think he's good enough to miss on purpose! 😂.

Agree3 Disagree0

02 Jul 2020 14:25:31
I'm sure there is also a significant promotion bonus that would counter any of the above.

02 Jul 2020 10:30:07
When teams park the bus, that's the time to do some long range shooting. A deflection, a fumble, a swerve. take a shot every now and again. Stop trying to walk the balll into the net as Bielsa seems to prefer. You got to be in to win. It is not as difficult as you may think. Fortune favours the brave.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

02 Jul 2020 10:53:40
It really the time to try and beat players 1 on 1. Try for being fouled and getting pens.
For the possession stats we have the number of pens is ridiculously low and that because we never try to beat the man.

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Jul 2020 11:15:19
when teams park the bus had a big man. how many crosses and corners go wasted as we offer as much danger in the air as snow white and the seven dwarfs. Belisa needs to be less stubborn and appraicte the ugly side of the game. If teams parked the bus against wilko chapman would of scored with his head. agsinst belisa it is so easy to get points.

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Jul 2020 11:46:29
When the bus is parked it is necessary for players to dribble past their opponent (as Canada has said) , particularly the wingers. By beating their man disrupts the defensive system as centre backs then need to move out of their comfortable position to close down the offensive player, which in turn creates additional space for attacking players to move into. Crosses floated into the box are meat and drink to the physical centre backs we come up against.

02 Jul 2020 12:02:48
All points noted are relevant and dare I say make a good basis for a Plan B.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jul 2020 12:06:38
I’m with Canada and Notts on this one, that’s why I want to see Poveda given an opportunity, and maybe even Jordan Stevens.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jul 2020 20:22:04
CW and Notts have it right whereas the east London wordsmith reckoning is tossing the ball into the box will increase our goal scored ratio. Or is he saying bring back Chappers? 😉.

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Jul 2020 23:07:41
firstly i am from south london not east london (well offended east london is a dive) secondly george is the wordsmith i am the oricle (i mean come on get it right hey george? )

finally i don't think chucking the ball in the box will increase our goal ratio because we are P''s poor in the air. my point is the fact that we can't score from a cross or 500 corners is a huge weakness and dissadvantage. as far as i am aware a headed goal still counts as a goal and having someone like chapman or even wood would be huge when playing a team like luton/ wigan. etc and they park the bus

people say belisa knows better than us. but on this point i am sure i know better than him. next time that happens bring on even matt smith. it is a plan B and might, just might help us when belisa plan a go up the Shi@@er.

Can’t believe I said East. Thousand apologies.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Jul 2020 08:00:15
Isn’t your mate Bamford decent in the air or do you believe he’s only good in the air when defending?

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Jul 2020 14:21:06
appoligies accpected. i can take being called many things but east london is not one of them. rather be a man utd fan. ok maybe not that bad

I think bamford is our best defender in the air and most of our corners if defended are defended by him. i think that is more due to the teams weakness rather than his strenght. also when teams park the bus we are so slow in appraoch play that bamford is often crowded out so even if he was better than chapman he would sturggle i think.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jul 2020 06:22:10
I think it’s a bit hypocritical and too easy to make condemning comments about our club ( Radz, Orta and players) when we don’t get the result we want and then say, but if we do get promotion I’ll be ecstatic.
Sit on the fence why don’t you.!
Championship football is nothing like the Premiership so don’t compare it.
It’s extremely difficult, unless you’re a Liverpool or Man City to play against a team that will defend only with all eleven players and perhaps will make only two counter attacks in the whole game. Every team in this division apart from Fulham and West Brom will play this way against us, home and away.
In the words of Nathan Jones, “if we had tried to play offensive football against Leeds, they would of murdered us”. Hence Pablos frustrations at teams playing the, Parking the bus tactic against us.
That’s why we have to be more dynamic in our goal scoring attempts, there will be some changes in the personnel when we arrive in the Premiership.
Cheer up fellas, it’s only football! 😉.

Total sense, well said opti.

Agree2 Disagree0

02 Jul 2020 07:48:45
Some changes? The majority of that team need changing in the premiership or else it's Yo -Yo time .
Be more dynamic, it's great to drop all these buzz words, dynamic, capitalise in front of goal, convert chances, etc etc etc,
But sadly the ABSOLUTE REALITY for 2 seasons now that we have been hoping for promotion is we don't score enough goals for all the stats that tell us we dominate games.
A lot of fans have been saying the same thing for a awful long time now.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jul 2020 08:20:39
OP and Taddy

I never sit on the fence and there is nothing hypocritical about being deeply concerned about our deja vu second season failure to address the still lack of efficiency in converting chances ( we are 2nd worst in the Championship )

The FACTS are Champions of previous Championships like Newcastle, wolves Brighton, Reading had 10 to 12 points more than us at this stage. and were completely efficient of disposing of teams at the bottom who parked the bus.

but hey keep on being apologists with your heads in the sand for Orta and Radz who have just one striker ( and that being Bamford rather than a prolific or even competent striker) in the first team squad rather than 3 or 4 strikers etc etc etc.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jul 2020 08:22:11
Where not there yet this is Leeds United we've started inconsistent since the restart as others like Brentford and those in and around playoffs are flying only 6pts from 3rd with 6 to play could be wiped out in 2 games we've seen it all before with Leeds not being able to finish the job off from a good position everyone thinks where there let's see where we are with 2 to play.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jul 2020 08:38:45
OP just Liverpool and Man City you say

The facts are that previous champions of the Championship such as Newcastle, Reading, Brighton, Wolves had 10.to 12 points more at this stage of the season

They simply were efficient in taking chances and would dispatch teams that parked the bus.

I don't think it is hypocritical or sitting on the fence to say i'd be over the moon if we get up yet I am also fed up with how we more oftn than not stumble against the bottom teams (again picked up in the papers. 'leeds yet again struggle against a championship basement boys') football is about highs and lows, positive and negitive just like life. i love how she makes me coffee in the morning but think she needs to shift a bit of weight. this ain't sitting on the fence this is knowing the good and bad in a situation.
