Wonder how strong them bielsa buckets are? Wouldn't mind one myself 😋.

You would probably have to sub it at half time due to tiredness of the martynball way.

If they sold them at the club shop, we'd have a right transfer budget in January! I think everyone wants one Martyn, me included!

I tried it today at work with an upturned paint bucket.
Let’s just say Bielsa’s is probably a bit stronger. ☹️.

my wife tried it with MB's bucket, let's just say MB is lighter.

I'm a little surprised a few in here have Boro down as certainties for the league. Good side but as I see it not too many goals in that team. Great manager but I can't remember a team winning this league without scoring a good amount of goals.
They can only nick so many games by the odd goal before the draws start racking up. That said they'll probably start thumping teams now I've said this!

Nope, you're right, Boro will be around the top 8 but winning the league? just can't see it.

02 Sep 2018 22:03:29
they haven't conceeded since the opening 45 minutes of the season when the team was new, i can see a record low goals conceeded for this league and that will be impressive. they play ugly football but have goals in them. they could of put a few past us. they were my tip before season started and every week i just rate them more. they will be top 2 without any doubt in my mind, that said i wouldn't want to watch them play.

Coulda wouda shouda berm but didn't. Might get a few points deducted when the FFP looks into the wages and signings too. Fulham got fined mega money but went up so it's not too bad. It's bad when you don't quite make it and get fined.

First time I’ve ever agreed with you Bermondsey.

03 Sep 2018 10:01:27
It is just frustrating to see that they're such a negative side, but it is so admirable how organised they are at the back. When you've had to watch awol cooper, Berardi, de bock, among others whos positional sense at times has been dreadful, to see what pulis has done since monk left is incredible really. without doubt they'll be top 6, but it is whether assombalonga can score, and based on the other night, I think they'll struggle. riverside will be a fortress this year.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Sep 2018 10:07:40
true, all should of, could of, would of, but it does show their quality as we are a good team, plus there defensive record is amazing top that with the squad and manager and it looks promising for them, that said it looks promising for us as well and we unlike them are good to watch

ERF as i say to the wife is you are agreeing with me for a change it must be nice to be right for once!

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2018 19:41:45
Bit of a silly question but if we were to get promoted would Rad invest heavily in the squad or maybe even sell?
I mean would he do a Cardiff and invest little and hope the manager keeps us up or more of a big spend such a Fulham?
There's also the possibility he'd be on his toes accepting a big offer from someone else.
Like I say it's a bit premature but was having same conversation last night and wondering what you lads thought.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

02 Sep 2018 20:02:18
Corky, hope all your Saturday night wasn’t premature!
I think the next key bit of investment might be in Jan rather than June! Bielsa will have 5 months more experience of the league and the players. We will also know what chances we have of going up . We won’t need loads but 1/ 2 key players could then make the difference and give us a second half of the year that we keep on missing!

The summer is a completely different ball game! If we do go up, how many of this team are premier standard? I think Bielsa could manage in the premiership but he will need the players to play his style of football against premiership players!

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Sep 2018 22:12:51
impossible to tell and not even sure rad would know

can see both sides cardiff have brought to go down but have strong championship team and come back up, bit like burley and newcastle did

wolves and fulham have done their load and looks like paying off which is great, but then you have west ham done 100mill and don't have a point and could go down then in trouble so always a risk.

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Sep 2018 23:10:51
Might get the 49ers investing in more shares corky as I think they will keep buying into us until before we know it they will be the majority share holders. There you heard it here first from mystic Martyn 😁.

Agree2 Disagree0

03 Sep 2018 10:09:02
that could be a good shout and not the wost thing think they are good owners and have experience in sports

i heard sheik mausoon wants to sell city and buy us as we are playing better football.

What Fulham did was sign players who have played in the prem and done well, mitro, schurrle, mawson, that's why they're doing well, with players like cairney in the ranks they'll be clear of relegation imo, jokanovic is a great manager. Wolves likewise, 4 points from man city and west ham is a great return for a newly promoted team. Cardiff will struggle as they're hoping on players that haven't played in the prem before. Bielsa will demand prem quality should we get there, Forshaw, saiz, jansson, ailing, maybe bamford and douglas are all good enough. but that's 7 out of 18 that you need week in week out. let's see how we get on first.

03 Sep 2018 13:34:43
Samo, think you got a bead missing off your abacus ;) add in BPF, Roofe, Pablo and there's nine.

Agree1 Disagree0

03 Sep 2018 14:59:58
not sure about if we went up,

think only saiz would be good in prem, alying pontus maybe could do a job the rest would struggle in my opinion if we went up we would need a new 1st 11 with our current lot sitting on the bench.

ok quick poll what will happen against millwall

yes we are playing well. yes MB has done great

but I am going to the game

does anyone give us a chance. personally I think we will lose 0-4 and the bucket will catch fire.

Easy BW millwall leaking goals for fun while we score em for fun so easily 3 - 1 win for leeds KP with a hatrick! MOT.

Stay away BW you is a jinx.

02 Sep 2018 19:32:37
So you are a wall fan?
Just jesting mate. Big test as it’s their cup final but I see a 2-0 win to Leeds! Don’t think they’re as strong as last season and we are a new team with more or less the same players. Make that 4-0!

02 Sep 2018 19:43:15
I'm going to set up crowding funding, how much to keep you away BW?

Bermondsey, it’s obvious, Leeds to win 6-0 ; KP and Berardi both get Hatricks!

Don’t agree Bermo. I feel we have a bit more about us this year. Fighting qualities against boro proved this with the height and physicality off boro. So I’m going for a 3-1 win. And back on winning streak after the international break and a bit more time with MB to work on things. MOT.

wish i was wall, i go millwall and leyton orient all the time and have never seen them lose where as leeds last time i saw us win chumberwamaba where still tub thumping

savile will be massive loss, on paper i think leeds 3-1 but me being there makes it such a worry

i was convinced last year we would win and it was when we started to fall apart so saw the return leg at er and that worked out well!

this has the be the year i finally see us win after 16 years of sorrow! MOT.

Berm are you losing your faculties? In your first post you said we would get beat 4_0 and then your last post you got us to win 3_1?

{Ed001's Note - like Berm ever had any faculties to lose!}

03 Sep 2018 10:10:47
fed to the lions, I don't fancy their chances!

no i think we should win 3-1 if i wasnt going, but i am there so it will be a clear 4-0 win for them with the bucket catching fire

although ed is right never had much to lose as discussed with my imaginary best mate john lukic.

03 Sep 2018 10:11:30
milwall are similar to rotherham, and crumbled without Saville in the middle, shouldn't be an issue, the atmosphere will frighten but most of the team have played in a hostile environment. 3-1 roofe, alioski, jansson.

slightly different note, but arsenal are trying to play same style as us, yes against harder teams and yes they don't look bad going forward but they seriously look like a joke at times, shows how well our players and coaches have done. fair play to them.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

02 Sep 2018 23:13:17
But there playing far better quality opposition to us and we are better than the goooooners anyway.

02 Sep 2018 14:09:26
Alioski huffs and puffs but doesn't do much. Imo he's crap! See how he goes when the weather turns. I think Harrison brings far more to the team, hopefully will get a run of games.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

02 Sep 2018 15:14:50
couldnt disagree more (although can see why some think this) , think his goal tally and assist tally this season speaks for itself, yes he can frutrate but then so can all players of his type. think his effort and work rate matched with skills makes him one of our better players. I do honestly wonder if he would get less stick had he come throuh our youth system was a local lad and leeds through and through? I do think our imports get a harder time of it.

same with brolin quality player and you lot all called him fat, then we get a world cup winner in roque Jr and you all call him useless.
you should all be ashamed of yourselves!

Is it ok to Lol at the last bit Bermo? 😜🤔🍻.

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Sep 2018 17:58:43
Import or not, it doesn't matter. I applaud his application but his improvement now is all mental. It's his decision making which let's him down. When to go, when to stay. When to cross and, more importantly, when to take on the back.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2018 20:19:20
I’m on Bermondsey’s side on this one. My preferences for players, nothing to do with where they were born but what they do and how they play for the team. I saw Alioski early last season and really liked him and think he has really come on this year . Against Middlesbrough, he got into some good positions but didn’t get the ball. I think both him and Harrison are players who will improve with Bielsas coaching.

I accept that we can criticise our own players but Alioski, “crap” after his performances this year, just not fair!

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Sep 2018 23:16:23
Alioski is a workaholic and class with it. He pulls defenders out of position all the time. Brights been a coach and he will know how good a player is that can pull people around and make space elsewhere.

Agree1 Disagree0

03 Sep 2018 10:17:14
alioski a really good player imo, Harrison a very similar one but more energetic, both good players to have but alioski has worked with bielsa longer and will get the nod in most games for that reason. bermo makes a good point, think its 3 goals and 2 assists so far this year? can't knock that really.

Was just about to post that Ox. When fixture list came out most on here were worried and would have settled for 9 or 10 points, but look where we are. Start surprised me and all credit to the lads for adapting to Bielsaball so quickly. We have one of the best coaches in the world and a team enjoying playing for him. what's better is its mainly a young team who will only get better as the season progresses. We added six players in the window, maybe not where we wanted them but all good additions. We have some decent U23s and some good players out on loan. Plus we still have funds available for Jan. Onwards and upwards.
Also well done Caleb for that goal against that Turkish team well done lad.

Hi Guys. Another interloper from down under.

I know sod all about football (only started playing at 50) , so you won't hear from me much, but I have enjoyed all the regulars over a number of years, more so when you don't agree.

Having been able to see most of the games on tele this season, I have a question.

When is Bielsa's bucket going to get a squad number?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

02 Sep 2018 09:12:21
Hi jungle and welcome! I think it should have the squad number 1, I am sure I heard bielsa say something like that although with his English he could of said it's giving him a numba bum! . (Sorry, couldn't resist) .
