So Spurs willing to listen to offers for Foyth, wouldn't say he is my first choice but if other options fail and he was available at last years price of about 7-10 mil I think it's worth a punt . I think he is more adapt to premier league and could be a better option than cooper.
I think his wages could be an issue though and we can likely get better value abroad.

I know your all going to rip me to shreds on this post, but I don't think Rodrigo was the right way to go.
He's 29, so no chance of recouping anything in the future.
But mainly, was it 4 goals last season. I personally would of preferred for probably the same outlay. pukki from Norwich and Watkins from Brentford.
Just my opinion, time will tell. Obviously hope I'm wrong and he gets 15-20 goals next season.

Slough
No ripping to shreds from me. I totally understand your issue over Rodrigo's age, 29.
If we were liverpool, with their particular business model in which they tend to buy younger so they mainly look to an increase value of the player, then 29yo is not a decent return for them
I would think Leeds are on a different business model. Thetes is about staying in the Premier League. There's is about TV money, and Sponsorship money, not so much player transfer fees
We need top quality now. We can't afford to play the long game
Watkins is a good measure of this. He is young and shown plenty of all round talent. But as yet he hasn't played Premier League, Champions League or International football. For the same overall cost as Rodrigo, I think at the moment we need players who can hit the ground running. Rodrigo will not be overawed by places like Manchester, liverpool and london teams. His value will be he could keep us up and thus another £150m season. To help with his resale value at this stage.

Well when palace have reject 20 million for Sorloth who can’t hit a barn door it puts in to perspective. You maybe right but if he scores enough to keep us up over next 3 seasons he will of recouped his transfer fee anyway .

I slightly agree with you Slough or at least have a small doubt. I seem to have read somewhere that the word prolific could not be aimed at Rodrigo. I can only believe that the great man has seen something in him that he can work on and we will have on our hands a regular 20+ a season striker or a 20+ a season assister. The deal is done, he is a Mighty White now so onwards and upwards.

Last few seasons he hasn't been playing as an out and out striker so you would expect a lower return. Conversion rate much higher than Bamfords which is potentially what we need and high work rate.

I think he will respond to the opportunity and the manager. Last season not a good year to play for Valencia, club falling apart a bit and he was injured. Don’t forget he plays for Spain and has scored 5 plus international goals in a year.

Yes a few negatives there Slough, but he is a spanish international and if Bielsa wanted him he must have seen something
Batshuayi was my own 1st pick, wilson from bmouth or watkins also fancied by me
Time will tell,
Still have a loan up our sleeve, so who knows.

I think if our style of play can create chances he will finish and To be fair if we can get more goals from Harrison costa and midfield then that’ll help . Costa and Harrison really need to step up for us to have a good season.

Totally agree Wigan White
Martinez from Arsenal would be perfect fit and if not available then another experienced good goalie should be acquired. Kiko must not be involved at all
And if finances permit a proven goalscorer is vital along with the signing hopefully of Rodrigo de Paul
, as sorry but scoring goals and converting enough chances in the EPL will very likely be our Achilles heel with our current squad as it is.

Ausman, I agree that that lineup should have beaten Stoke City, but.
That lineup played all the way up unto the end of the season, only about a month ago. Stoke Citys players stopped playing before the lockdown had started. They have had much more rest.
Also, Stoke City have not had to compete in Bielsaball. They are probably at their fittest right now, whilst we know our lads are just starting.
And finally, we have a whole host of our lads on international duty so we were in the first throes of seeing how different pods will work. In Henandez case he didn't have Klich and Phillips alongside him. He was just learning new ways of new teammates.
Two new centre halves for the fullback and defensive midfielder to understand.
I really can't see this result having any bearing on real football.

Agree lads I would love GK to be a big money signing. A top stopper spreads confidence throughout the defence, Schmeickel, Cech, Seaman., unfortunately Martinez looks a bridge too far. let's hope therefore that Meslier plays out of his skin next season, I don't see why not.
