We've all got are own ideas for new team next season. Does any one agree with this. Kenny / ashdown Byram mills ( free ) kilgallen ( free) Steve wornock Matt phillips ( free) austin dorens ( free) pennant ( free) Le fondra (free) beckford 1.5 million. ??? What u think???

Believable0 Unbelievable0

No beckford unless free, lot better out there for 1. 5.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Kenny may be one of the first out of the door.

Agree0 Disagree0

Beckford?, noooooooooo, give it a rest ffs, pennant, no, and wheres Lees

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolutely no chance we'd get Mills or Le Fondre on frees.

Agree0 Disagree0

You're a bit optimistic there mate! Players still under contract will not be free!

Agree0 Disagree0

Original poster here. Sorry but why is Beckford such a big no? He's gets plenty of goals at any level fact. He's kept huddersfield up thanks to his goals. And why can't we get mills and the other players when there contracts expire in summer? And personely I think lees is a good lad but would only make the bench for. still a bit to learn. Mot

Nicky Maynard probably on the outer at cardiff. Proven at our level. Once over his injury could be a 25+ goals per season for us.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Not worth the risk what if he never fully recovers? we'l have another davide somma on our books!

Agree0 Disagree0

Outs:

Brown - Sheffield united
Pearce - Bournemouth
Pugh - Sheffield Wednesday
Somma - released
Habibou - released
Dawson - Loan
Thompson - Loan
Payne - Loan

Ins:

Dorrans - WBA
Mills - Bolton

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think dawson should be sent on a short loan to a team like Ipswich or even Wednesday Pugh and barkley did alright with them and then we can gage what he's like at this level

Agree0 Disagree0

Releaae Habibou from what? He's on loan and Zulte Waregam gave him a new contract the day before he joined us

Crmd

Agree0 Disagree0

You forgot 1or 2 pal. Bromby / kisnorbo/ connoly / drury/ and don't forget paul rubbergloves!

Agree0 Disagree0

02 May 2013 13:03:13
pearce won't be going anywhere I think he's a bit nervous at times but will be good next season.
i think dawson may end up going out on loan.
Thompson as to either be good enough to stay at the club for the new season or be sold on if he's not as he's been round for a while now.

Wouldn't mind this team, fairly realistic, not too expensive (around 4.5 mill additions) and a blend of youth and experience?

Kenny
Byram Lees Morrison Warnock

Burke O'hara McGugan Mackay-Steven

McCormack

Russell/Le Fondre

Subs: Ashdown, Peltier, Morison, Adomah, Green, Diouf, Austin

Outs: Tonge
Pearce
Varney
Somma
Hall (loan)
White (loan)

MOT

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yeah Andy Lonergan. he's much better than Paddy Kenny. How many games has attitude problem (Kenny) actually won us this season?Lonners had good games on a regular basis in my eyes and got stick unfairly. our season went down hill last season after Lonners got injured. i'd have him back tomorow. Kennys been a waste of time in my eyes and only hear because its another case of Warnock helpin out one of his chums.

Agree0 Disagree0

Somma won't be in the championship come the end of summer. Sad but true. Mutual consent release coming for him.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 May 2013 08:08:33
I can't see pearce, tonge and varney leaving thinking of the sort of squad we are going to need.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 May 2013 13:30:35
If you think Lonergans the answer I'm glad you're not our manager! We are trying to get in the Premier league not League One!
Ashdown's as good as Kenny and they are both better than Lonergan, that's why he plays for Preston.
We don't need to change keepers - we have 3 good ones - unless someone wants to go, why change? Spend the funds elsewhere.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lonergan is better than Kenny

Also he plays for Bolton not Preston.

i think if we can get a solid defense and midfield together I would be tempted to give cairns a chance in the new season

Agree0 Disagree0

Lonergan has never been at the level kenny is. kenny is a top gk if he had any kinda defence in front of him he would b even better our only ok defender is lees and maybe warnock but the rest are a joke

Agree0 Disagree0

03 May 2013 16:14:02
We've got 2 good keepers already.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Apr 2013 15:36:37

Lonegran. Am I in a time warp?

Agree0 Disagree0

Lonergan? why?

Agree0 Disagree0

Lonergan?! Why?!

Agree0 Disagree0

If the owners had ambition this should be the team
kenny
byram
mills
lees
warnock
burke
austin
holden
sako
burke
mccormack
beckford

this team should get us up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lonergan? As in our old GK? No Diouf in the starting line up? Howson? Thomas? I'm not all that sure mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

This would be my team.
Kenny
Byram
Lees
Adam pearce reading contract running out and has great potential only 23
Warnock
Humphrey very fast, experienced and cheap due to contract running out
Austin cdm
robson kanu rm very quick, cheap and realistic
diouf cm
McCormack cam
kevin doyle swap for morison could happen

Agree0 Disagree0

Getiing sick and tired of seeing beckford all the time, move on ffs

Agree0 Disagree0

If the owners had ambition they'd stick with Kenny? Seems some of the fans could do with some amibtion, first.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry I meant alex pearce

Agree0 Disagree0

12 players I like it

Agree0 Disagree0

If we can't get beckford go for le-fondre, so your saying if we can't get the past it has been we should turn our attention to the inform young predator, maybe we should give becks a miss altogether, remeber "what shirt am I wearing" as he agreed a move to the toffees.
look I love the guy for his goals and THAT GOAL in particular but he is way past his best now just like morison.

Agree0 Disagree0

If the owners had ambition this should be the team
kenny
byram
mills
lees
warnock
burke
austin
holden
sako
burke
mccormack
beckford

this team should get us up.

Too right it would, the extra man would be useful!

This summer is the true test to see how much GFH mean business. Bates has got to go and Bryam must not be sold, no matter what the offer is. This alone will prove they are with us ('with what most fans want'). This will put extra bums on seats, create more money to buy the players we need to take us up.

I don't care who BMC buys as long as we go up.

MOT

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Firstly Bate's isn't going anywhere for the next three years (unless natural forces play a part)

and who is BMC?

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Apr 2013 15:05:05
My personal list of realistic transfer signings.
- Chris Burke, free
- Gary Mackay-Steven, £1.5m
- Cameron Jerome, £1.5m
- Lewis McGugan, free
- Curtis Davies, £1m
- Eric Lichaj, free

Total spent: £3m

With all the deadwood finally going and maybe getting a couple more sold, Peltier possibly if Lichaj was signed. Could maybe get just short of £1m return on outgoing players.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Don't you mean £4m spent

Agree0 Disagree0

Given that the funds generated from player sales are £1m and the outlay is £4m the total spent altogether is £3m as 4-1 is 3.

Agree0 Disagree0

NO the total spent is £4mil leeds4life is right, your sales number is supposition as you gave a reasoned list that adds upto £4m spend.

Agree0 Disagree0

Here are some realistc targets
Kevin Doyle
Anthony Gardener
Chris Dagnall
Nathan Delfouneso (Loan)
Chris Burke (Free Agent)
Shaun Derry
Lewis Grabben
Mark Duffy

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Chris Dagnall isn't realistic, he's said he hates Leeds and would never play for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its ok about Dagnall. I'm sure he would prefer to play in the Third Divison rather than the mighty whites. That's like someone rejecting Man United. So short sided.

Agree0 Disagree0

Erm NO, I think even bacon face wouldn't go and sign a player to the swamp who said he hated the place, get real are you telling me you would of been at ER cheering if cun-tona was being unveiled instead of mcderMOT, your obviously of the prawn sandwich persuasion and not a working class fan with that love all clubs dafy attitude.
Football is love and hate
LOVE LEEDS
hate everyone else.
MOT {Ed001's Note - what are you 5? It is this stupid attitude of idiots like you that leads to trouble. Looking down your nose at people for not hating others is the most idiotic thing I have ever read. Grow up, it is a game.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said Ed!

Agree0 Disagree0

Its this love everyone attitude that's allowing like murdoch to steal our game, and by calling people who stsand up for the game, the rivalries of the past and present 5 yr olds is the reactio of a child anyway.

do rivalries mean nothing to you ED or do you like to see crackers scored down the swamp fist pump gigg's last goal did you.

cmon get real i'm not looking down my nose at anybody, I was pointing out that no club would sign a player who says they hate the place (am I missing something here)
or is getting told your a manc sympathiser get to you, I hope it does as there maybe some hope for ya.
MOT {Ed001's Note - you really don't have the intelligence to waste my time on, if that is all you can do is attempt to be offensive. What is wrong with you? I can appreciate good football, whoever it comes from, while wanting the team producing it to lose, it is called maturity. One day you will develop it, maybe. There is a huge difference between a rivalry and a hatred. That is why Liverpool Everton derbies could see the fans mixed in together and yet still produce a fantastic atmosphere. That is how it should be, not imbecilic hatred of someone for happening to support a different team from you.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Im not trying to be offensive i'm making a point you don't like they are 2 differing things

yes there is a difference to rivals and hatred to us chelsea or the yorkshire locals are rivals,
the are hated.
and u mention Mersey derby I live on merseyside and my brothers are red and blue, (good banter at the weekend in our family), they don't hate each other as clubs that's why they mix its a bit of fun the bragging rights till next derby day.
of course there is heated banter like there is between same fans (this for eg).
so if your going to attempt the moral hgh ground don't call me childish or imbecilic, do you remeber how many players leeds sent too the swamp after munich and why. I think you will find hatred in football is not new its what makes for all the great jokes songs and banter, if the fuzzy liberals like you got there hands on this sport in the 50's there would of been no Revie era as the no confrontation brigade would of hounded em out of our great game for being in your face.

Hi,

Does anyone know if we had a sell on clause on danny rose when he went to spurs? Probably unlikely, but would be nice if so. Herd he linked with £8m move to sunderland.

Also heard from rotherham mate that ALF (Le Fondre) has 20% sell on clause, so might stop us getting him on the cheap.

Id prefer to play hull nxt year thn watford, I say let watford win :)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Are you serious? I would personally prefer Leeds to WIN every game. don't care who we play next season!

lets do Watford as revenge for the championship playoffs!

Agree0 Disagree0

That has to be a comment from a watford fan, remember the play off final? stuff em I say!

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Apr 2013 15:02:12
Yes mate I agree, Watford have abused the loan system by bringing in a team full of loanees from their so called partners in europe.
Come on Leeds stuff em. mot

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't care who goes up Hull or Watford mean nothing to me I just want us to win every game teams to go down Millwall Barnsley Wednesday or Huddersfield don't want Peterborough to go allways a good day out there.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not just the players what about trouncing us 6-1 at home THIS season. I hope we stuff em

Agree0 Disagree0

*play offs

Leeds are after Adam Le Fondre, And we could get him cheap, following there relagation! Also, Shall we have a look at QPR's Players following there drop?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'd be dubious looking at QPR players tbh. Not much in the way of passion there. Might be a good one or two though, just exercise caution.

Mr Happy

Agree0 Disagree0

Who would you want from QPR? Bothroyd at best.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wish we could get taarabt quality player especially in championship

I reckon mcd has been promised 5mill for the summer and more in jan if more investirs are found
With all the freebies out there plus getting dross off wages, this is more than enough to transform team
With a decent signing straight off the bat, otbers will follow
Hopefully 5-6 players will be transfer listed on sunday and the rebuild can begin.
Mcd will have a transformed team playing good football right from tve off next season. See that smile on his face on os pic. that's a man enjoying his job and the challenge. Happy days!

Luke Young - Plymouth argyle

Could be one of the signings this summer. CM/20 scores a few.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

30 Apr 2013 01:29:14
I think Jamie o'hara would be a solid signing for us, battler, brilliant attitude and hell of pass, him and Austin in the middle of the park we couldn't go far wrong

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Missus ain't half bad either lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha she's alrite like

Agree0 Disagree0

Injury prone though, albeit I agree a very good player when fit!

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Apr 2013 22:38:09
howard wilkinson started his revolution signing chris fairclough for 1/2 mill so let's not carried away with big money signings but start signing players of qualitity but within a budget so the club can build and play attractive football to bring in the fans this is a very competative division so we need players who will become a team. we need a 20+ goals a season striker who stays fit and a creative midfielder but who these would be I don't know. remember varadi, shutt, davision all players who could score from the bench we need tha type of player too. one last thing how many more points would we have had if pearce had put away his chances

Believable0 Unbelievable0

30 Apr 2013 06:24:44
Wring again! Hw's first signings were Neil parsley and Mike whitlow from witton Albion.

Agree0 Disagree0

That was 500k 22 years ago

Agree0 Disagree0

At least I got my quiz question answered cheers mike whitlow was a solid player

Agree0 Disagree0

Sgt Wilko never really had us playing what I'd call 'attractive' football. Effective, yes. but a bit on the defensive side.

Agree0 Disagree0

"That was 500k 22 years ago"

Couldn't believe it was actually that many years ago, I really must be getting old.
