If its true Paddy Kenny is on his way out who would you like as our next keeper?
Bearing in mind we are in the championship for another season ;(

I think give that Bentley a go looks decent prospect

Agree0 Disagree0

Alex McCarthy would be a great shout IMO

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Gomes with Bentley as back up/ cup games

Agree0 Disagree0

Butland please :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Westwood, McCarthy or Butland. All of these would be an improvement on Paddy and could easily operate at a higher level if we ever get promoted.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bic
I'm not saying your wrong but Butlands only decent game was his debut ( in my opinion )
What would we give for a Lukic/Martin between the sticks now ;)

All I keep reading is we're linked with this Cagliari player, and this one and this one, blah blah blah. Massimo may well own both clubs but he doesn't own the players contracts. And if the players don't want to move to play for Leeds then that's it. One player has already said he'd not leave Cagliari for Leeds. And personally I'd rather have young English lads playing for Leeds.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If they add quality and can adapt to championship football then anyone is welcome, surely can't be worse than what's been witnessed this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Unfortunately it seems that the better players are not English as the top premier league clubs are mostly all foreign players (fact!)

I'm wondering whether MC has agreed to sell Calgiari at a low price to someone on the agreement that some of the playing staff are not included therefore enabling them to effectively have a free transfer to Leeds.

There has to be some truth in all the rumours of Ibarbo and co coming to ER.

If they had their contracts cancelled could Leeds "buy" them before the transfer window opens?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If they cancelled their contracts then they wouldn't have to "buy" they would be free agents technically. If they were free agents then I'm pretty sure they could join anytime - they wouldn't have to wait while window opens.

He doesn't own their contracts but he is able to put an improved contract from Leeds in front of them and tell them they can have this if he can rip up their old one.

Obviously the player will have to want to come but better terms and playing in the prem in 2 years may be enough of a carrot

Robert Koren could be available in summer, getting on a but but might be a decent squad player at this level

Any news on the renewals yet, or has MC decided we can have next season fee on account of the dross we had to put up with this season?

If and when we get rid of Mc clueless who do we want?
I would take riga from charlton.
He plays good football and has good contacts in football world, could also tempt diago poyet to come with him.

Can someone tell me, how old is this robbie mcdaid kid and is he likely to be good enough for the bench next season?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hi peter he's 17-18 as he played for N-Ireland u18s around Xmas time.
I asked my friend in Ireland about him when we were linked with him months ago and he said.
At 14 he was playing u16 and stood out a mile and at 16 playing for his home town club in the first team in the Irish premier league.
He said Leeds were 1 of around 12 clubs looking at him and 2 Of those were premiership.
He said he's an EXCEPTIONAL talent ( all be it in the Irish league ) quick but lightweight, as for bench material next year who knows, pre-season will tell a lot and I'm sure he will be sent to the gym for upper bodywork ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks Andy, I was just asking because with Cellino wanting to rebuild the acady it's likely a few of the lads will come into the first team squad. It makes sense to use a few kids like mcdaid etc. as it hopefully means we can spend bigger on a few quality players where we really need it, after all it's not much use having amazing players sat on the bench is it? (QPR proved that to some extent!)

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeh totally agree Peter, a few people moaned and groaned on this site when we signed him, I guess you can never keep everyone happy.
I don't know how much he cost but if its let's say £50k with add-ons its got to be worth a gamble. He could be the next David Healey, Liam Brady who knows and when you compare it to certain players in our first team its ONLY 2 weeks wages.

Agree0 Disagree0

Also if you look at Byram as an example. Thrown into the first team as an 18 year old relatively unknown and then a year on he's being scouted by premier league clubs. What's the worst that could happen eh?!
