Corkie, me old mucker! Answer is because I could have come back about 5 weeks ago when we started losing and Curahee began to vex more than usual. I was tempted then but self-discipline kept me logged out. Perhaps the real truth is my long absence was for the Greater Game. Like what I did there, Berm? Berm should pen a play all about this site. Casting would be fun. Hope that answers your query Cork. Berm, I've heard very good things about Rad. I'm very confident for next season. No reason we can't aim for automatic.

So the reason for your absence is me? Seems a bit of a cop answer that.

Needs some guidance please.
Question; is a transfer something that happens when a player signs an FA form and the papers registered with the FA? If so can we "sign" a player in June or July merely by signing a piece of paper saying that I agree to play for you next season and I agree to sign you in August. On the back of a beermat if necessary. Just an enforceable commitment. As a plan B some sort of documented gentleman's agreement?

yes (as far as I am aware but pretty sure I am right) you sign a player at any time as soon as contract and player fee is agreed so you can sign a player closed window and have to wait for them to offically move to club and be able to play for club

You can have precontract agreement as I understand it. All signed and sealed but just have to wait until July 1st to get the rubber stamp. I think

Look what happened with Cameron stewart he had a similar agreement to Jansson didn't do him any favours now did it. don't think he will be a Leeds player come july.

I appreociate everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but what the flip! We have just had what is our best season in many a year and because we fell at the last hurdle there appears to be the NAY sayers on here spouting the "oh whoa is me", get over yourselves, We played the majority of this seasons games with what was up to 2 years ago a mixture of under 23/reserves team players plus two or 3 experienced heads, think the average average age of the team over the whole season is something like 23, there's only probably Leyton Orient with a younger squad in the entire football league.

So first season at this level for most of the team and people are having a go, yes mistakes were made but this is not championship manager, its real life. let's see what happens in June (which by the way ladies and gents is only 30 days or so away and not forgetting the rest of the football season will be done by then so NOTHING ominous in the timing of discussions) personally I would hope that Radz settles the other 50%, keeps Monk, gets rid of the hangers on and the loanees that haven't worked and gives him £10 to 15 million to bring in his preferred targets (Bartley for one for me is a must) plus 3 or 4 more quailty players. But as I said this isn't Championship Manager and all we can do in reality is renew/ buy our season tickets to support the team we all love onwards and upwards 2017/ 2018 here we come

well said, Orient have got younger team but that is out of nessisity as the crazy owner and it has not worked out well for them at all, as someone very close to the club i am gutted for them and the fans a lot of whom i know really well. we have a young team who have done well, been positive and negitives but certainly best we have had in year. only thing i strongly disagree with is i hope mc stays, a great owner who has done a great job and i hope he stays and gets us up and i honestly believe he deserves to be part of a leeds set up that gets back into the prem

Stronger investment in the right players during the January window and we may have made it this season.

Kinda agreed with all said. We definitely missed a chance in January. Bermo ill be happy enough if MC leaves us though. He's too much hassle. Just hope I don't regret that statement.

according to press and social media rad wants to get rid of monk MC wants him to stay. I always have liked and backed mc we now know with leeds he brings usccess and turns a club around, we saw same with his past club and leading it to its goladen age, we also know his own arroegnce is what drives him not to fail. I do not dislike rad or think he will be bad but know nothing of him to make me think he will be successful either. I trust MC i don't know rad

I keep seeing January window as the tipping point. I think the problem was this, we looked very comfortable in playoff postion. Mr Monk thinks 1 point per game will see us there. He sets team up for a point, instead of going all out for 3. We finish 7th lesson learnt I hope.

As expected (in recent times) we have finished 7th. Much better than expected at the start of the season and much worse than expected eight weeks ago. Monk has had a mixed time at Leeds. He's brought optimism back, brought the fans back on side and created a solid base. On the other hand he has relied on his Swansea connections for recruits - mostly not good.

Bartley has been excellent all season . Barrow, Grimes Hernandez are not so good. Hernandez has quality but we need consistency over the ninety odd minutes for the whole season and not having to wait for the one pass or set piece. Green was a good buy. O'kane I think was a good buy but Monk didn't play enough.

Ayling and Jansson have been excellent Playing Phillips regularly was a mistake. Playing Vierra was good but not with Bridcutt and not with Phillips sa often as he did in preference to O'Kane. Wingers although probably panic buys in some cases are not good enough.

Watching Norwich players running past our defence on numerous occasions showed us what was missing. Having forwards with pace and all round skills showed us what was missing. Having a midfield that could get forward and create showed us what is missing. Not getting beaten by six or seven showed us what we have more than them - Grit and determination with some skill but not enough.

Why Norwich concede and play like they do then go off the boil must be a worry as they have class. We need to bring in some of that type of class without losing the strengths we have. There are clubs in the championship who have brought in quality players but are not up to playing in this tough division.

If the club keep Monk which they should if for nothing else but continuity he has to show he can pick out the players who have class but also the work ethic of our present squad. Not an easy job particularly as we could lose Bartley, jannson, Taylor and have to recruit a Hernandez type player. It will be next season when, if given the chance, Monk will prove himself - or not.

Yes sums it up to a T Hesslian, also lacking strength in depth is a contributing factor over 46 games, our recruitment before the start of next preseason will indicate our intentions I think, Bravo could be the sign of better times ahead, cannot see him coming to us unless there is some proper intent and money to invest ?

Spot on Hess, Norwich could actually pass to thier own players, instead of lump it forward and chase it.

I'm a little confused. not difficult but. Monkey has a very good season 8/10 for me, a great score. Playoffs would have been a 9 and promoted a 10 One of Monkeys assets has been galvanising the team spirit, where we have seen definite improvement in team spirit and unity which brought us wins in games we would have lost last season.

He also was brave/consistent in dropping Pontus for allegedly doing something contrary to the good of the collective. But then he is quoted as stating. "The reality is, the majority of the group were not quite ready for this situation, " Monk added. "They were not ready. And that's not a criticism, it's just a fact. " Well actually Monkey that is a criticism and something more appropriate for the end of season review with Rad ! OR include your team and yourself in that statement?

You chose Grimes and Barrow? When I look at the teams who've made the playoffs 1.11 they are not more talented squads. So what makes the difference? You and your 'Team' should Monkey. My own take, was that Monkey was surprised at his excellent showing, and lost confidence in himself! Which brought the hang onto what we have, start with at least a point and get that at all cost mindset. Still a great season Monkey, but ya got to take your share of the accountability for us letting it slip.

I like Monk and hope he stays next season but if not i would go all out and get Simon Grayson back he's done a great job on a budget with preston.
