Jesus Christ, so much negativity on here tonight, yes we would all want this player and that player but come on ALL LEEDS aren't WE! team needs a little time to gel judge the season at the end of the season not after a few games. We can't compete with the premierships relegated clubs look at villa n Newcastle spending in my opinion stupid money, we and most clubs in this division simply can't compete. Money is totally ruining the game and it's us the fans that are suffering, put the players on minimum wage and incentivised on performance make th perform for their cash we a work out Dickens off to pay them by paying over the odds to watch them because we love our club at all costs but there's got to be a line or tipping point somewhere.

Weird post dude. Money runs the game top to bottom. Just ask UEFA and the American Justice Department. Fans are entitled to their opinion and to voice them. Besides, I don't see anyone really complaining about Cellino. We've had a good window so far and I have a feeling the next 25 hours are going to be positive for us.

Jonny, we all know that football clubs haven't been 'clubs' for years in this country. They are businesses and the players are employees who, like us will go and work for whoever pays the most money.
Gone are the days of a one club player. I mean look at us, if Murphy goes in this window Alex Mowatt at 22 becomes our longest serving first team player!
Professional footballers are mercenaries and badge kissing fakers who every so often visit sick kids in hospital to salve their consciences.
We, the fans are the 'club' because unlike the players, managers, and owners that come and go we will be LUFC until we die. They should be paying us!

Well I guess I've been one of MC 's biggest supporters on here ( given there isn't a better alternative) , and in general I support his stand on not paying silly wages or transfer fees. But as time goes on I increasingly don't think we can get out of this division without having one or two gems. And they most likely will cost a lot more than he's prepared to pay.
I think we have some decent players, and possibly a decent manager, but any gems? I don't think so.

If this happens, it shows you what a joke our once famous club has become. cellino wants promotion but don't want to spend the money to do it. my blood boils mate. how much more can this man destroy LUFC.

You see that is it "Our one famous club". We are no longer that club, but hopefully those days will return. We know Celinio is not going to pay big money for transfers. We had gems Cook, Byram and soon to be Sold
Taylor, but we have to sell so we can get two mediocre players in their place. Take Huddersfield, they're not a big club, they can't afford to pay big money, but they got their business done by mid July and have got off to a flyer. We needed to hit the ground running and not be scratching around for players a day before the window shuts. Monk may or may not be a good manager, but for me we shouldn't be in a position a day before deadline days still stating we need more players.

Speedy, I was the same (a Cellino supporter) until joining Georges club mid last season when MC said he wanted to sell. I think he is desperate to get as high up in the table as he can to get maximum return, then sod off!
You can't expect to get promoted with an owner that is only motivated by money.
You need someone who will put their heart and soul in, as well as their money.

You talk a lot of sense brother but it was obvious from the beginning it was about only money for Cellino. His heart and soul isn't going into a fallen Yorkshire giant. Yorkshire and Leeds have nothing to do with Sicily and Italy. Twas obvious from the beginning.

As everyone knows on here I was a big critic of Cellino. He finally got on my good side by spending and I don't think he's done yet. That's all I wanted him to do. Admittedly he's sold as well but he sold well and I believe we are stronger all over the pitch now. He's created a foundation for the next owner. He will leave us in a stronger position than he inherited us. Couple more players, get rid of GFH, buy back the stadium we will then at least have the resources and stability to rise again. Playoffs would be nice come May but if we miss out we will go again stronger next season. We're improving guys.

Results haven't been brilliant so far granted, but what is the point of changing managers this early into a season. Many of the team have only just arrived over the last few weeks and in some cases are not fully fit yet nor have they had time to gel. If the manager is to be judged so early then the team needs to be sorted out before pre-season so that the players have time to get fit and to learn to play with each other. Surely it is counter productive to put pressure on the manager when he hasn't even got the team together yet?

Our club owner is Massimo Cellino. Your reasonable logic shan't defeat his impatience.

I think monk had heaps of time to get organised and mc bought rubbish loads of players for him
I remember mc saying year or so back that he chose players cause he disnt want to get lumbered with ex managers rubbish. don't blame him. If it were my money i'd be same. Newsflash
How about a leeds manager starting and doing well. Bit of a strange idea. But maybe that would work.

Ausman

Our preseason was somewhat rushed and incomplete. Monk has not had loads of time. The season only began in August and we're still in August!

Give Monk 15 league games before you judge. Just my opinion.

3 more players needed for me, A tough good at defending corners CB, A quality ball playing CM and a lightning quick proven goalscorer, (I know I don't want much do I! ) not sure if CT will go this window it all depends on if the PL clubs Carrot is big enough for Mad mass! I will be coming up to Leeds for a long weekend on the 10th so will be able to take in The dog botherers and Bottom of table Rovers (lol its a canine themed weekend) Really think Garry needs to win Both Games to settle the Mad one down as 2 more defeats and it will be curtains i'm sure, anyways fellow tormented leeds fans have a super weekend and all eyes turn to the transfer deadline, MOT Brothers and Liverlass.

Yeah
Think we will be lucky with one in
As you say should be 3 in and 3-5 out
So hope monk can get it together. Think long term he will be a success at leeds but he needs a better win lose ratio to get to long term.

Just a central defender and a striker for me. Both need to be quality and have some pace. Bamba replacement and someone to challenge and hopefully displace Wood who for me is a sub in this league.

No need to tinker with midfield imo. KP and RV need playing time to develop. That said Grimes is not good and we are hopefully about to offload Diagouraga and Murphy but if we must thicken out midfield I'd prefer someone with experience but also a free agent. Don't think we want to be spending big on anyone at this stage. Someone like Osman.
