What's the story with Robbie Gotts? When I first heard of him he was a RB but seems to have been moved to midfield position by MB. Basically I'm asking what type of player is he and is he ready to start if needed.

George. I think the official Leeds United Facebook page has stolen our description off stuarty. The cookstown Cafu. Although I know he’s not from cookstown but a village called Coagh. It’s been on the Facebook page.
THE COOKSTOWN CAFU.
he’s still getting stuck on it too.
MOT ALAW ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️👍.

Gary Kelly started out as a striker.
Roles change regularly with lower level football.

Battymatty "Our"? LOL😲 Stuarty in form of his life. He's become PL quality. However, he belongs at either wing back position, not midfield.

Gotts is a very busy midfielder. I like him a lot

Remember shacks came into the first team picture as a RB but he’s a midfielder if you saw him prior

MB likes players that can interchange.

Looks like Eddie is on his way back in the next 48 hrs. Hope we have a replacement lined up already!?

While I’d like an odd player or two to arrive we have numerous young lads to come in to the team. CB playmaker and a striker would be in most minds I’d say.
What’s the chances of Orta having a “Daniel James” signing lined up and this time get the deal over the line?!

Would it be a big ask to bestow upon the youth if we got into a 3 or 4 horse race? would the pressure be too much on youth say instead of a seasoned pro?

We seem to be lacking strikers ready to step up from the 23’s, and for me it’s no surprise, as it’s a more mature, disciplined role. Ryan is the only one who could come in, and from what I’ve watched, I’m not sure he could cut it yet. Ayew maybe the best bet for a promotion push, as he know the Bielsa way.

Not concerned if Nketiah leaves, good player but if we are going to loan I’d rather have someone with the prospect to buy, Nketiah was definitely going back to Arsenal. Sadly January is not a good time to invest, it’s normally a case of scrapping at the bottom of the barrel or paying extortionate prices.
Think Bielsa genuinely would like to keep Nketiah though.
Personally I would rely on what we’ve got, whatever happens with injuries, folks won’t feel comfortable with that but I think we’ve got goals in most of our squad, that includes the u23’s.

Really want Ryan to get an opportunity against Arsenal, just to see if he can do the job at a higher level.

Have to admit when that winning goal went in a little bit of wee came out. I'm an arthritic pensioner who sails close to the wind most days anyway. If this carries on I'll invest in some adult male Pampers.

As Birmingham have been given a meeting with the FA because decision have being going against them do you think we should ask for one as we have had it for the last 14 years and they have done most of it against Leeds.

It's very disingenuous when we have radz + Orta + Kinnear tell us squad is good enough . We clearly are a bit short of competition in key places . Dare I say lack of competition can breed a degree of complacency . But equally even if there are signings how long will it be before they are classed as (bielsa ready ) .?
So hope we strengthen but as we all know even that's not guaranteed . Huge match now next where to have win even improves team psychology that indeed this is going to be the year FINALLY .

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Dec 2019 19:53:49
Strengthen but acknowledge it is for March onwards. Going to take that long to get up to speed with Bielsa but doesn’t mean it won’t be worthwhile - that is when the wheels really came off last year. And they will be ready for peen next year then even if the are only useful for 6 weeks this season.

well bamford could be out for wba but look what happen . 4 goals scored around there six yard box . no bamford . sometimes 4/ 5 players in there . are we looking at him to much . he wasnt there but we did have more in there . and they finished better . we look for bamford to score . without him others did amazing . big problem crosses . fulham same . at least two down to keeper flap flap.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

30 Dec 2019 12:25:13
Reason for goals was 2 teams going for it spreading the game and meaning we didn't have packed box to deal with.
A lot easier to score with half the normal numbers in the way.

30 Dec 2019 11:38:24

I am very confused today?
I always said that one day we would put 5 or 6 past some luckless team. I didn't think that on the same day we would concede 4! I don't know whether to dance on the table or just bang my head on it.
If I, for one minute, can ignore our magnificent fightback and concentrate on the shambolic defending. We now seem to have a defence without a sargeant major barking out orders. We have a GK who is slipping back to errant ways (NB Only go for crosses you can get and if you do, take out everything in your way)
As for our LB, Alioski. He was the source of many of our scares. If he is losing the ball, for whatever reason. He then throws himself to the floor, appealing for a, usually undeserved, free kick. As evidence of the crime he sits there on the deck; which does nothing but put a big hole where our full back should be. I think it's time to replace him with a more solid option. Maybe? losing a bit of attacking threat but certainly strengthening the defence.
Sadly I cannot see that happening as Bielsa has his favourites and is never one to change a formulae, win or lose. Let's hope our mean spirited defence regains its scrooge like qualities for West Brom, et al my heart cannot take another rollercoaster ride.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

30 Dec 2019 11:34:29
yes but he's not a left back better in attack . that's where he started for us.

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Dec 2019 11:40:12
Good post and spot on. Alioski never a left back, leaves us too exposed when he is constantly forward. Ayling also falling into this pattern too. We look good going forward at times but the teams know we are fragile to set pieces and the high ball into the box. Hopefully Bielsa also sees this and learnt something from last season. I think we definitely need more cover in the back 4.

30 Dec 2019 13:53:18
I did suggest to my dog before it went crazy second half, bring Douglas on at Lb and push Alioski up

Harsh on Harrison but it was that flank and Bellingham causing us problems

The dog just wanted another biscuit

That Jude kid looks special

Cheeky bid in the summer please victor.

Think that Bellingham is really going to be something special too Wood! Only 16, but strong in the tackle, very composed, and two good feet. When he skinned both Gianni and Jack! 😳😳😳.

The coaching methods used by beilsa when a fullback pushes on Phillip's should drop in to the back line,

Indeed rich but a bit of defence minded nous from the FB is always useful

Re the Bellingham comment, lad might be off to Bayern

Another reason ( If I needed one) to dislike them

Thought Liverpool might be a possibility too.
