I really don't understand why premiership clubs would be interested in Bamba. He is strong and not bad in the air but he makes too many errors, is slow and certainly, by his own admission cope with pacey forwards with a bit of guile. That's what he would be up against. It would also a problem in the championship for him so why wolves appear interested I can't guess. He is a nice chap though. Maybe that's it. If we had a replacement I'd take the fee if it was my decision but there's only Wooton. He's improved but still not convincing. So we will probably have to hang on to him. I prefer the Cooper/ Belusci combination as its the best we've got but let's face it none of them are great.

Tom Lees was a hopeless full back. I don't remember everyone saying he shouldn't play centre half. Also he was a young lad coming up with potential. Bamba has had his day. What you see is what you get with him. He isn't going to get any better. Remember Leicester gave up with him playing CH. Can't compare Lees and Bamba except neither were/ are playing particularly well with Leeds. One could get better the other not.

Just because bamba hasn't been playing well doesn't mean he can't he's just not at the minute. When on loan he showed how good he could be if he wanted to.

So wrong survivor. Byram went because he wanted to. Players like bianchi and sloth are not happy playing in u21 same as dawson so they will look to move. This window is for teams at the top to add some class for final push and for relegation teams to add to get out of zone. We are neither so it won't worry me too much how many we sign in jan. More interested to see what happens end of season. Will evans take us forward, will new investment come. At least cellino listened to others and is buying players from home leagues.

Anyone could have made up this story Jeff. Because we all knew that Byram was going. Remember just before Cellino was installed at the club and a certain ITK person stated that very day that the football league were going to block your "mate". An hour later it was announced that he would be allowed to take over. I doubt Cellino would tell you anything condidental, as you tell the whole world.

The reality of football is we cannot compete with the premiership on wages, our chairman is not a billionaire ( where's the shame in that? ) , our previous past has left us at a major disadvantage but Cellino appears to be doing his best with what's he's got.
We're not Bolton and were not Middlesborough our time will come again!
