Whats wrong with Lambert? he is proving to be quite good at premiership level. Not that we would get him anyway because i don't think they would sell.

If you seriously think that were going to buy players better than Lambert and Hooper in January i think you need a reality check.We are not in the position to be signining the likes of Hooper and probably Lambert until we are in the premiership

Lambert is a good cf, im your honest hes better than becchio. I love becchio tho. But who do you want? Benzema, Ibrahimovic? Get real, Vinny.

they are the wrong type of player anyway as we need pace more than anything .

Eddie gray giles and bremner did not have pace

We do need pace especially upfront cause we haven't got any at all . can't wait for Somma to come back cause he has a great shot on him and shoots at any given opportunity. he should start without a doubt! Karl mot

Disagree... been out of football for best part of 2 yr... will he still be the same player?
would he be as good as other players we may be able to now afford? if we want to go up this year, then we cant afford to wait too long for him to be match fit/match sharp... we need instant results....

Lambert single handedly got southampton promoted, but too slow, not what we need. Hooper decent championship at best, no matter how you look at Celtics recent results(very well done to them) but they are not gonna be doing much in the prem.
we def need a bit of pace to stretch the game more.
I`m not expecting to buy V persie and Ronaldo, but a youngish speedy guy would be nice.
Any sugestions?

To all our fans that are turning on The Great Peter Lorimer because of Graysons comments, bear this in mind.
We are playing Graysons team tomorrow and our top scorer is coincidentally Becchio!! Do ya not see that Grayson is playing mind games to cause unrest in our camp??
Just my opinion..... The conversation about selling Becchio never took place.

If Grayson's lying then Lorimer will sue. I don't expect that to happen somehow. I for one consider most of Lorimer's behaviour over the past year to be beneath contempt. Much as I want to see us beat Huddersfield tomorrow, I believe Grayson on this one.

NNNNNAAAAAAHHHH!! Bothe Lorimer and Grey have been talking a right load of bo==ocks in the name of Bates. This seems to be the norm with anyone on the Bates payroll these days. I never once heard them in the last 2 yrs, come out and blame Bates for anytrhing to do with the club and thats a fact!

Just one thing on the Lorimer saga. A lot of our younger fans bleat about loyalty and players leaving for the paypacket and not playing for the shirt, Think on...Peter Lorimer has been at this club for over 40 years, he is and always will be a LUFC legend. He played in a time when footballers were not set up for life and still has to earn a living, Bates has been very clever in buying the services of such a legend to be a buffer between himself and the fans. You cannot put any blame on Lorimer, he probably needs the money and was offered a job working for Leeds, whats not to like?

I bet he was sweating when Becchios 2nd one went in against Huddersfield.

the takeover happened at the wrong time of year really for the attendance side of things with Christmas and the new yr coming up .i think we will start seeing a difference after that period and things should be back to full capacity by beginning of next season .

Yes there is too much negative things said on this website now. If not attendances it would be something else moan moan moan. Suggest we move forward not backwards with positive thoughts on and off the pitch.

Totally agree,but theres some on hers totally obsessed with Bates,and pathetic conspiracy theories,moan moan moan is right,like the guy yesterday who suggested Bates had got GFH to buy the club for him on the quiet,dear oh deary me,if thats not insanity what the hell is it,anyway Im sure those that can afford to go will do so,and the Bates haters will stay away,so be it.
