Three words: Money, Bates, Profit!
We did not sell so easily under the new ownership! Look back just a few weeks!

U think they didn't have a say in the becchio deal?. they stated they had been financially supporting the club since the long saga started including the money for pearce etc.

you have to look at the positives here. would you of seen bates show at least the intent of financially supporting a manager by allowing him to bring in 2 players that are not cheap, I highly doubt becchio and gnabry are exactly the cheap option. GFH deserve credit, they've shown intent and financial backing, people forget this, we just need everyone to get behind the current lads, let bmd sort the behind the scenes work out! comon leeds let's have a win tomorrow, MOT!

They haven't brought in two players?

i know but at least the intent is there, there would be none of that from bates!

Im amazed bmd told us he's after becchio and gnabry. Not because I don't think there good loans but u don't see managers saying who they have approached before they get them.
To me bmd telling us this is just to make us feel as if gfh are trying only to end up with nothing or far worse.
If we get noone then it will just be, well we tried.
Just looks odd to me quoting the names

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yep exactly, based on what he said afterwards the whole exercise of telling the fans who he enquiries for was pointless. Becchio can't leave and neither can gnabry. "Things do change" GFH would have done this to make sure the fans don't turn against them by telling the media who they tried to get.

It may help tomorrow night if we kick off at the same time as Bournemouth, even if we lack width and flair we should at least be in the oppositions faces for the full 90 mins, it always seems to be the other way round, and opposing teams bossing us.

We get 26000 average on gate a week and the average price of a ticket this year has been £28.50 including kids and boxes. So that's £750k on gate a time plus program's and burgers ect. Our wage bill is the 6th smallest in championship yet we can't afford no players . Our club is just used to make people money they not bothered about the football . That is statistics and facts not made up.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well they will see what happens when you don't invest which is low attendances, low optimism and just sheer negativity around the club which would lead to the fans driving them out the club. I hope all this does not happen just as long as a few loan signings come in which then leads to being in or around playoffs by January.

Agree0 Disagree0

You're forgetting that Bates borrowed against season ticket money so not all that income can be used for players wages. This is equivalent to 3 top class players or 6 average players.

So Ross Barkley scores another great goal tonight, but couldn't get a start under warlock!? Pure genius that bloke was!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Never seen a performance quite as impressive as Everton tonight! Absolutely top class.

He didn't have a clue did he Mate! Plank!

You can't say anything bout warnock as a manager because he's record speaks for himself I just dnt think he was bothered if we went up or down where with other teams he wanted them to go up

Agree0 Disagree0

We had him on loan and the people in the ivory tower decided we could not afford to pay him. that's why he went back

Can't wait for the next crock of sh** to come out of the club. We should have someone in by the weekend, its nearly over the line, only to be told they couldn't be released. New owners but same old sh**.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Bet they are working there socks off.

All, please do not slate me, however due to not being able to get a ticket and being in Soton at the weekend, I thought it would be good to watch Soton V Palace. What I will say is that is Soton won that game through wingers creating chances, they had men situated on the line of each wing and played to feet. My point here is that we are in need of width and with width we will create chances for the current front men to put the bull in the net.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

This is exactly what we need, our squad has no width no outlet to supply our attack.

With some decent wingers the players like Hunt, Varney will score, possibly even Smith but I'm not convinced he is right for us, he would not make the team sheet IMO.

Anyway, wingers wingers wingers is what Leeds United need, we have always done well when this position is taken care of. ( oh memories of Gradel & Snodgrass).

GFH must now show their hand before they completely lose the faith of this great football clubs loyal fan base. This can happen quickly and when it does it's not nice and it's not funny whichever side of the fence your on!

What happened to the interest in Tommy Rowe, if there was any real intention of doing the job properly by the owners and board to resolve this potential crisis that's brewing we would have signed the likes of Lindegard, or a Shane Long, or Chris Burke or Mackay Stevens or Lee Tomlin, or Chris Martin (Derby County).

Anyhow I have a lot of time for BMcD and I believe he is totally committed to LUFC going forward, but obviously like any employee he can't bad mouth his masters. I would have expected previous managers to reveal all about what has gone on at the club when they were there, and ex- players for that matter, but they don't?.

LUFC onwards and upwards! MOT

GFH do you take us fans for mugs? No activity in the loan market then you announce that you are after gnabry and bechhio, which you know you have no chance of achieving. If we manage to beat bornemouth you will claim the squad is good enough therefore no signings are needed. Why not claim you are trying to sign messi and renaldo if you want to sell matchday tickets. I Know it is a negative comment however they deserve it for trying to con fans with misleading Communications. Please prove me wrong GFH.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Do you remember Jim Bowen and Bulls eye. Hear is what you could have won.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hate to admit it but I think your spot on, can understand Gnabry not coming with Arsenals injuries, but Becchio ain't even on the bench some games, but his gaffer has turned down other loan offers for him, so unlikely he would let him coe to us.

We must have the worst scouting and negotiating staff in football. Every one else seems to be able to unearth talent apart from us. "We enquired but" is becoming a common catchphrase for the powers that be at Leeds. Its getting boring and predictable.

Any idea on who these other young players from arsenal could be? (The ones McDermott mentioned on website)

If Luciano Becchio is unavailable, maybe Josh Murphy mught be an option exciting young winger

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Who's josh murphy pal? And who's he play for can't say Iv heard of him.

Agree0 Disagree0

I still think we could get becchio back if he tries to force through a move. Ifs he is not even getting on the bench then surely they should loan him out with a recall clause if hughton is worried about injuries.
Gnabry is a deal that should go through as he has only played two league games and he does need first team experience to gain confidence and leadership on the wings. They didn't loan out chamberlain and instead occasionally played him and now he hasn't really developed. Hopfully wenger sees that and so does hughton. I signed them both on fifa. Becchio, on Saturday and gnabry today.

Think Gary Mackay-Steven would be a good buy. Seen him play in scotland good winger and that's what we need

GFH are a bank, when you ever and know a bank spend money they have too . I agree they need to invest in squad, with the players NW brought to the club we are at best mid table at best, I do however worry that without some width and somebody that can score, ER will once again be silenced as the crowds fall below 20K . BM is the right them right man for us, but GFH are not . I fear a long and difficult season!

GFH . if you not going to invest, then do the right thing and step aside, I thank you fro getting rid of
that Chelsea B******, but we are losing confidence in your now . also about 8 weeks ago, you tweeted there was some big news coming that would put a smile on all our faces . total rubbish, you are simply making yourselves look silly, so please don't moan when we have a go back!

A good shout :- I feel for BMD as I think his hands are somewhat tied

GFH really do worry me, they seem to consistently make all the right noises "exciting times ahead, big news next week, close to tying up one or two new faces" etc then Fek all happens. They say want to be up front and engage with the fans (past record says not ONE meeting arranged then can't even be asked to turn up ) the silence is deafening.

I think we could be getting sanago as well as McDermott said he wanted a few arsenal youngsters.

Leeds United manager Brian McDermott told tv Radio Leeds there is no point in becoming frustrated about the lack of transfer activity at the club. He must be more than frustrated at the lack of finances made available for new players. He has made the same statements as previous managers saying we were in talks with various players but could not reach an agreement. In other words GFH wouldn't pay the transfer fee or the wages and Brian is left to make the excuses. It looks like our whole budget has been spent on Matt Smith, Noel Hunt. Luke Murphy and Scott Wooton. Now with all due respect these are not the high profile players that are going to launch our promotion back to the Premiership. I have been a supporter of Leeds for over 40 years and it galls me to see the likes of what I would consider lesser clubs above us in the Championship or that we are even in the Championship! We had little enough investment under Bates as regards players but were constantly told we are now financially secure ( True or not? ). Now we seem to be in the same boat with someone else at the helm. What are we waiting for? All the other to go into administration and get points deductions leaving us at the top of the league. You have to speculate to accumulate as they say. I think Brian is the best manager we have had in a while. Better than The Poison Dwarf, Larry or Colin and I hope he stays. However if the Republic of Ireland job is offered to him I for one would not be surprised if he took it. GFH need to either fork out or fork off. Anyway rant over so let's look forward to three points against Bournemouth tomorrow and if we win we will go above them in the table - never thought all those years ago in the Glory Days I would actually be saying that!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Why on earth would you say he's better than Larry, he's done nothing at Leeds to prove that, he inherited a great team at Reading, at Leeds his signings and win ratio have been no better than the others if you are honest!

Agree0 Disagree0

Bmd must grow a backbone and let us know exactly what the case is, one day the moneys on the table and another there's no money, if there's money and he choses not to use it that's one case if there's no money that's another cumon brian pipe up and tell us what the deal is there's nothing worse I hate then a coward with no voice
