Wish list for transfers in for me would be, Centre Half, Utility defender/ MF, another Midfielder, No 10, Striker and a Winger. that's a total of six and that I think is a minimum, could probably add in a Keeper and another C Half, which be a total of eight.
Don't think we should consider the Roses and Delphs of this world as they have their best years behind them and would just be looking for another big payday. Younger players on the way up is the target.
It will be interesting to see who we get, it will show how good Orta is. Think Orta got very lucky with Bielsa as no other manager would have achieved what he did with the squad he had.
Really trust Bielsa judgement on the players he will want and if he is given the players he asks for, think he will get it right, if he does not get them think he will be gone.

There’s a difference between wanting the club to make signings and being irrational and unreasonable. If they’d made a loads of signings by now I guarantee you’d be complaining about the quality/ price/ rushing the signing/ wrong position/ why buying X when we need a CB etc.

as for orta remeber this is a team. We all know belisa walks if not happy so either orta is doing a good job or they are both useless. it can't be just orta and one way
it does make me laugh, belisa gets all the credit, which fair due he has far successded my expectations but while blisa gets all the plaudits orta is the fall guy. to me that makes no sense?

im first to admit belisa has done far better than i hoped for and while i have always supported orta i do understand they are very much a pair and a team
like costa for example. Belisa said I want someone to make us less reliable on pablo. orta come back with some suggestions and belisa picked costa. we know this is fact otherwise belisa walks. so with things like that in mind we can not just slate (or praise) orta.

Disagree with you there Bermo mate. Orta brought loads of Rubbush before Bielsa - the likes of Cibiki and Grot for instance. Sometimes Bielsa identifies a player and we get them but he will also know we have a budget so he can't just sign anyone.
Orta presents 4 or 5 targets he thinks will be good for Bielsa and Bielsa has to pick. If the 4/ 5 are rubbish then what can he do? White was a Bielsa signing and that went well but who else has Orta signed that has really done a job for us?

Yes orta has got some bad buys but everyone gets transfers wrong even alex fergouson got some wrong.
Orta has done some amazing signings, bogatuz, meliser, stuijkm povdka just to name a few. Plus i personally would add bamford and certainly white who apprently was singled out by orta when we played against him.
Like you mate i'm a born worrier but i think we have to trust belisa and orta as a pair at the moment. and if we don't trust orta you have to put belisa in the same boat. unless of course belisa walks but he has already stayed longer than most. so belisa trusts orta and most in here say in belisa they trust.

last season i knew belisa wouldn't get us up. ain't it great that i was wrong and no shame in it. Been a fan since 89 and seen good and bad in my club and loved it regardless.
so i am gald i was wrong this season and don't think it is a shame. also hoping kp proves me really wrong by not being s@@t next season

Reading the recent pieces of two well informed journos in Phil Hay at the Athletic and Graham Smyth YEP, I must say I'm pretty underwhelmed by the supposed real transfer targets . Ben White would make us all happy . But let's face it he's not an addition to our championship team of last season . It's merely preserving what we had . So can't be seen as the be all and end all . We need to be far more ambitious than that . As for Ollie Watkins and / or Benrahma 50/ 50 now they go up with Brentford and stay put . None of the other names mentioned excite save perhaps for Eze and there will be decent competition for him . I'm basically managing my expectations downwards . Don't fancy some of these European names from minor leagues ( David etc ) which I suspect aren't even real targets . Big gambles that rarely pay off and we can't afford similar mistakes to Fulham and Villa when they went up . Having said all that whilst MB is a miracle worker we desperately need strengthening the whole spine of the team with quality - Keeper for Kiko , two CBS, central mid ( can't rely on Klich and KP not getting injured ) attacking mid and striker . Can't see it happening mind .

Many on here say in belisa we trust. that has to go for orta and the transfer market as well

With such a short turn around to the new season, all of the post lockdown squad plus Forshaw and possibly minus Kiki will be involved at the start. Hence the importance of securing White or replacement as the priority. Other buys will learn the way and add pressure for positions as we move on. This approach is very Bielsa, allows him to work with what he knows and with a happy squad that works well as a team, a massive advantage. Survive this year and the regeneration and improvement process can continue. In this way the players who got us to promotion also have an opportunity. I don't think that's a bad plan for the first year back, particularly in the current the virus world.
