Probably nothing to do with his departure, but I've heard that Paul Hart had a fractious relationship with Willie McKay, agent and father of U21 players Jak and Paul. It's believed Cellino and Evans were unimpressed as they rated the lads highly after signing them from Doncaster and believed they deserved better treatment.

Sorry to see hart go think he is one of the top academy coaches around. But if he left for the reasons above no sympathy. We have all had to deal with assholes at work but we can't all just up and leave, we deal with it. what's the worst their dad can do insist they play. Would have thought they would anyway to see if they were any good. Sure cellino would not keep paying them if they were crap whoever their dad is.

This is the sort of thing that really cheeses me off!
Evans commenting on Paul Harts departure from the academy.
He says "the academy's not my remit". " that lies in the hands of other people ".
I know I'm being naive but if I were the first team coach of a professional football club I would watch every academy, U21 and U18 game that I could (live) , to get my own idea of the players that could possibly be good enough for the first team, rather than relying on other people's opinions or videos.
I mean apart from being at training with the first team in the morning what the hell else has he got to do!

i heard he goes to every leeds game from youth to u21's mainly to pinch the lads pack lunches. I heard he was gutted when he found out the oranges at half time where not terry's chocolate oranges but the real thing.

Went to the u21 game against Bolton tonight and Hart was in charge with Jason Blunt although didn't get chance to ask what's going on (not that he'd have told me! ) Another goal for Erwin, Botaka looked good and Sloth ran the game in a 2-1 win.

You are both missing the point he is saying he is not involved in the academy because a couple of weeks ago he was criticised by Cellino for talking about things that were not his remit, therefore when asked today he has no choice but to distance himself and even if he does know what is happening cannot comment, the problem is he can't win either way and unfair to say he would not watch games of course he does and if he did not see certain games you can be sure he would get a report.

I see this as good news for club and fans. While the Douk polishes up his Dracula skills we can take a look at Mulhern and Stokes who surely warrant a place on the bench now.

Personally havnt seen these young guys play, but been told by staff at club that Frank Mulhern can be the real deal, but only if he starts believing in himself. Also Will Huffer and Jackey Vann are two extremely talented players for the future. As long as we don't let them go like previous youngsters, either for cash or like Tom Lees because he was hounded out of club. Just a thought?

David Rocastle. Taken too early at the age of 33 - 15 years ago today. Always a Gooner but did his bit for LUFC and is remembered fondly. RIP Rocky.

very talented footballer, I always think it is a shame we brought him as he never really got a chance and was a bit of a waste of money. however very talented and such a tragic loss at such a young age. RIP.
