Stop Press. Red Bull purchase confirmed!!!!!
Went for the Blueberry flavour. Tastiest one (in my opinion) though strangely enough, the supermarkets have stopped selling it!
Okay, enough about my choice of stimulant beverage 😉
Any news on the football front? 😜

Just watching Motherwell v Rangers Skill level poor. Both teams would get trounced by any English Championship side. Lee Erwin showing why he is 6 in 36. Just a big gangly target man. Okay if you want to play hoofball but we want a fox in the box. They could play all day and he still would not score even though "Rangers defence" is not a fitting description and only half accurate. It is sad to see the team from the heights playing so poorly like watching Ali in his last few fights.
If we are looking for a target man and I hope to god we are not then if you cannot score in Scotland against lesser teams then you have no hope anywhere South of the border. You might as well beg Matt Smith to return!

The only reason why we are looking at players in Scotland is because they will be wanting lesser wages than proven championship players. The same reason we court players from the Italian second league.

I see no one of consequence signing, and if we do manage to get a decent player, it will be by pure luck and not because we are willing to pay for the talent.

For that reason I do not see Barton coming, there is no chance we will compete on wages.

Think I have to agree with d.s. I would love to see Barton arrive (if he is any way near his best) but I would be surprised if wages were not a stumbling block. That said Barton has such a big ego maybe the challenge of getting Leeds promoted might appeal to him. He would fit in perfectly in midfield alongside Cook Murphy and Mowatt, although new boss will probably play just three.

As far as I am concerned you may as well begin a 2 year countdown as to when Cellino hopefully sells. That's the only positive. When he leaves.

The only fear with that George is that there will be a huge Fire sale of our best players before he leaves. Even if he cashes in during the Jan window he is sure to get 30mil out of the sale of Cook, Mowatt, Byram, as well as Phillips and Taylor if they improve. Double that if he sells Morison as well.

MoT :-)

I hear you Fred that prospect is worrying but Cellino isn't going to become sane anytime soon. I think a play off spot is there for the taking by almost any club this season with the right investment but it won't happen with us because Cellino is a lunatic.

States in s*n today that joey Barton could be on his way to us. Think he could be a decent experienced signing who the crowd will love with his hard man reputation

No signing on fee so may be able to afford him. Type of player we need, like Vinnie, Batty and Billy. Do not think it will happen though.

I for one hope it does happen

{Ed013's Note - I think it would be a great signing for Leeds. I do believe that if it was possible Mr Cellino would only offer a years contract which could be a problem as Joey wants a 2 year one}

31 May 2015 21:31:11
Would it really be a good signing? Don't get me wrong I wouldn't be upset if he signed, but does he offer more than Austin who slightly younger wouldn't cost as much, but looks certain to be on his way. I'd rather 1 million quid a year be spent on a 20 + goal scoring forward.

Austin is not in bartons class
If Barton wasn't such an idiot he would have had 50 odd caps
Sign him up. Vinny2

I see your point Ausman, but it's not a Vinny 2 we need. It's a Chapman 2. We've got creativity in the middle, but lacking in the final third.

I reckon we should look at
P Robinson in goal
Ferdinand out of retirement with Harte
Snodgrass worth a shout. Anybody know what batts is doing And cantona must be bored writing jibberish
Beckford. Beccio. Err. Toss up between Messi and sharp
Thoughts anyone

Think Cantone would get on with Cellino, what a conversation that would be.

now that the released lists are starting to come thro more names are added to the list. If he still has any desire how about looking at Joe Cole Has the experience and the skill to run a midfield - if he still wants to (and if we can afford him) he should have a point to prove after years of unfulfilled potential

Byram will go for closer to 10 mill mark. At least Cellino knows how to sell unlike papa.

Awer mabil is apparently eager to move to England so this will boost our hopes of signing him
