Ever since the defeat at Millwall the confidence has drained noticeably from the team. Injuries to defenders at different times have not helped continuity and we haven't had a settled side. It was almost like the players thought themselves invincible and defeat at Millwall deflated them. We need a top class keeper, two more strong centre backs. a good left back, two strong holding midfielders and a top quality striker. Pennington and Borthwick-Jackson can then be returned to their parent clubs. I think the Board and coaches have seriously misjudged the Championship. It is a marathon and won't be won by flair players alone. We need some solidity and steel in the team. If we can recruit well in January, difficult I know, our season can be resurrected. Here's hoping. MOT.

Cant keep buying players. The players we got are good enough i reckon. Just not organised or trained well enough. The teams that have beaten us this season have all been rubbish. We should walk this league. Its easy compared with recent seasons.

I think its time TC is put on notice. We can't keep losing unfortunately. He has had time to vary line up and tactics and has fallen short. He has had time to improve on the training pitch and dosent seem to. Either we are not good enough and i think we can be or he isn't equiped for this league. One more game and goodbye i say. And no bloody grayson. We should be able to attract a top manager with players. Position. And owner.

Ausman1 the trap door is open and locked back can’t see him changing anything said he looks out of his league in this league, we need a proven manager who knows what they are doing,

You're right, they will do the usual lazy journalism thing, but hopefully we won't go back there; he won't sort out our defensive frailties!

Do we persevere with the players and system, with slight tweaks or is it time for a radical overhaul of both elements? Just for the immediate future would it be advisable to play 3 in midfield with a dedicated defensive midfield to protect the back 4.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

31 Oct 2017 22:35:09
Said for ages, last season included these players can't play that system! they midfield isn't meaty enough. I think without doubt the formation needs to go and now! The players need to be evaluated when in another system!

Shaunassey to sit in front off back four. With okane Phillips and viera when available in front off him Saiz lasssga up top. Dallas at left back ayling right and coops and jansson cbs. we need to get a win soon. Very soon. I don't want or think TC to get the boot. But it's a winning business and st moment we arnt. πŸ™ˆβš½οΈβš½οΈβ˜ΉοΈ

I agree Alf, Think that could be at centre back or defensive midfield. People often overlook that the boy can pick a killer pass too.

Last season we had 23 points after 15 games. This season we have 23 points after 15 games. At this stage last season Birmingham were one place above us with a game in hand and just avoided relegation. Something needs to be done to stop this slide, and it needs to happen soon. Going back to glass half empty again! πŸ·πŸ‘Ž

Good point about Derby, they were in that position then they sacked their manager and ended up saving themselves from relegation on the last day! let's give TC a chance. The run of fixtures through to Villa on First dec will define the season. We are trying different ideas and need a bit of luck. Hope TC can do it, not sure changing the manager how is going to help us.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Nov 2017 06:49:24
Are we really trying new idea s though? It's almost entirely the same! We changed to a 433, beat Bristol, narrowly lossy to Sheffield, then reverted back to 4231!
The odd player change of position isn't trying new things.

01 Nov 2017 07:21:57
The aim is to win more than you lose. How can you say changing manager won't help? You really think we could lose more often with a new manager? he'd have to be pretty poor not to improve oyr recent efforts.

01 Nov 2017 17:20:05
Yes but unfortunately last season we had a dreadful start. the worrying stat is not the point total it is the recent form and 1 win in 6 is not good enough. if it was me playing 'Football Chairman' on my phone I would give the manager 3 more games and if we lose them all he would be for the chop.

Already said I’m working and only had BBC updates to go by. Penalty outside of the box? Again, form team in Derby and it doesn’t get easier so I’m going early and am backing the Team to turn it around. I enjoyed my morning in the sun when we were top but this is when the Team need us to REALLY support them, well I am any rate MOT

Have to say, starting to worry! How many points have we taken from the last few games! Certainly relegation form at the moment, not saying we will go down, but just thank god for the first few games!

Agree cura. Luckily we had that great start. Just wish we could get back too the winning mentality. Is it me or is it when the opposition score we look nervous on the ball ? Worrying times at present . as can only swap and change players so often. As no matter what he's trying st present with personnel or formation . it's not working. πŸ˜žπŸ™ˆβš½οΈ

Slowly but surely dropping like a stone. I think that starting 11 was quite good tonight. Tho I would have put pablo in instead off alioski too start. So what more can TC try too turn it around ?

31 Oct 2017 22:09:49
Nowhere near good enough, yeah it wasn't a penalty, but we more or less sat back all the 2nd half . Carson has picked the ball out of the back of the net and then never had to make a save for 80 mins! . we create very little, our wide men give us nothing at all, roofe was embarrassing tonight and a mile off it, Ayling is getting caught out of position time and time again, o Kane is way too deep leaving viera isolated at times. saiz good again, alioski dreadful again, know I have Moaned about him for about 8 wks now but I just don't see what he brings to the team at all. I have no idea what the answers are but plenty of questions getting asked if the squad at the moment. final point, exception of saiz has Orta brought anyone decent in? .

Thought the Dallas, Aloski combo worked well, so that's a positive! They shouldn't have had their penalty, and we possibly should've had one, but Saiz was a bit too theatrical. We didn't deserve to lose last night IMO.

But I can't see our team especially the mid field competing with derby the likes of ledley johnson huddlestone in there and the champ experiance of there overall team. I'd love to see this line up tonight but it won't happen. Lonergan, back three of O'Shaughnessy, Jannson and Pennington, Ayling and Alioski as wing backs. Viera and O'Kane holding midfielders. Hernandez in front of them with Saiz and Roofe up front. Something different?

I agree that tonight's game isn't critical in many senses, but I suspect that a defeat tonight, particularly a feeble one, could prove critical for TC. I do not think that Radz would sack him, but I think that he would start to put preparations in place for the possibility of that eventuality on the near future. My heart says 3-2 to us, but my brain is worried. They are a capable team with a capable, ambitious and aggressive manager, who understands this league. Ferk em, onwards n upwards!
