called this earlier, money talks. prem won't pay back broadcasters, clubs won't pay back prem, players won't pay back clubs. the show must go on.

Think the government in control of social distancing and can’t see uks finishing anytime soon.

yeah but money behind football will make sure closed doors counts as a pass. To be fair leeds can say when it comes to set plays, corners and high balls our defence has been social distancing all season.

Think this will happen, and agree tv money will be the biggest driver. However, I also think the government realises the lockdown only mitigates risk it doesn’t move anything forwards and impact upon society ) social and economic) as a whole to go on indefinitely has the potential to be as catastrophic as the virus itself.

Therefore, I believe governments will actually encourage resumption of football worldwide (behind closed doors) for the euphoric placebo type lift it will provide for its populations. Phew that was a bit heavy, I need to get out more!

Still not sure governments will take the risk.
It’s going to be minimum 3-4 months before social distancing lifted for anyone in uk. Other than essentiall.

Not sure Aus I agree with the premise, however, this is an entirely different generation (include myself in that) to the more disciplined less materialistic war generation.

And preventing connection can only be sustained for so long with, advisory, even the hard tell. Think it would require a form of martial law to manage sixty million people indoors or social distancing for that long.

Even then t pandemics start with one infection if you wait 8 months if you’ve never contracted it what stops you getting it once lockdown is released. This is where the so called herd immunity kicks in you have to have greater numbers either recovered or immune.

That being said Aus politically what leader wants to be the leader in history that was found to have released the lockdown too soon.

Hope you and all your family are safe and well mate.

We are all well and Aus and particularly WA seem to be fairing well. Prob cause we are so isolated and have learnt from the rest of the world.

Bloke out shopping with his Wife, he puts an 18 pack of Stella in the trolley. Wife says, "What are you putting that in for? You know money is tight because of all what's going on". "It's on offer at £10" he says, before putting it back. Then she puts a tub of Face Cream in. "How much is that? " he says. "It's only £20 but it makes my face look a lot better". He replies, "So does 18 cans of Stella, and it's only half the f*****g price of that Cream"!

We are 11 days into self isolation and it's really upsetting me to witness my wife standing at the liviving room window gazing aimlessly into space with tears running down her face. It breaks my heart to see her like this. I have thought long and hard about how I can cheer her up. I even considered letting her in. but rules are rules.
