I can't help but think Cellino has missed a trick with Brandon Barker. He's just signed a new five year deal with Citeh and that alone tells us they were never going to sell him. What will they do now they have him on a long term deal? Loan him out to a rival Championship club no doubt.

Quite a few posters on here (Georgie boy et al) have mentioned we have a good first team but not a big enough shad, so in hindsight Cellino should have tried to get Barker on a season long loan and still sign Dallas. It's unrealistic to think Dallas will play every game this season and that shows just how paper thin our shad is in key positions.

Having said that Cellino might get him in a loan deal but seeing his comments about training others teams players I doubt it. He really does need to wise up though, we're going to need the loan market if we stand any chance.

can't wait for the new season, excited after watching us boss everton, I will miss not being able to listen to the away games as beardy has somehow bagged the broadcasting rights for lufc games. As I only goto home games this is a sadness for me.

I would however like to ask my fellow leeds fans to boycott anything and everything to do with ken bates. We as a fan group owe it to ourselves to make sure that anything he does that has anything to do with lufc fails. I for one still suspect he has some sort of vested interest in lufc ( other than yorks radio) and would hope that any business venture he initiates to do with my beloved leeds comprehensively fails. I want him out of leeds and football for good.

Never agreed with any post more than I agree with this one. I've believed from day one he came to ER with the intention of ruining the club. Just about succeeded

Don't agree that he came in to ruin the club more he saw a cash cow for his own bank balance. I think his vested interest is that he is owner or co owner of ER. Strange how
its gone quiet on the repurchase of ER from Cellino, maybe there is an agreement between the two of them.
Only my opinion though.

YES YES YES YES YES, it is hard to say if I love leeds more than I hate bates. and he did want to milk club and never wanted what was best, if he did he would not of sold so many good players for peanuts and replaced them with monkeys. larry was very close to having a squad good enough for the prem. bit of backing and we would of got there I am sure of it.

only thing I want more than leeds back in prem is a game of ro-sham-bo with bates. i'd even let him go first

Can't believe Sky have us at 4/1 for relegation. It seems the optimism around ER is confined to only us supporters with our rose tinted specs. Does the rest of the footballing world see things differently? Must do with odds like this for the drop!

might be clever work by the bookies. They know leeds are big and not popular so making the odds low might make outsiders think we are weak and worth a flutter (plug for my latest play if anyone is in london in september and wants to watch) know a few of my mates would put a fiver on that and sky make money as we are not going down

I can't believe people would be that naive when it comes to their hard earned cash BW but you never know. Surely it would be more tempting for the anti Leeds brigade if they made the odds a bit more attractive.

Maybe the bookies feel we need another central defender and striker. I think they are right. Once Dallas transfer goes thru, our first xi looks excellent. Even our bench looks better than in recent years but if key players get injured we will have a problem more so than other clubs. This is what the loan market is for. I can see Rosler plugging a couple gaps once we get into September.

I just mentioned us being 4-1 to my mates two have already come back saying might be worth a fiver (one palace one millwall fan. think it is the old don't really know much so lead by bookies over looking for better odds, lack of knowledge prem fans might see this as good bet) I personally fancy brentford to go down would like to know them odds.

The bookies are usually right and last season we were tipped for bottom 8. Don Goodman said we'd go down yet all of us thought we'd be top 10. As it stands we're still not top 10, not yet.

{Ed001's Note - if bookies were usually right they would not make any money as everyone would be able to make money betting on the favourites! If people actually understand the bookmaking industry, they would stop with this nonsense about how bookies are usually right. The initial price is just an educated guess based on stats etc, but the main price is simply set by how much money they take on what specific bet. Nothing to do with the bookies being right, they are following the money.}

And good point ed if bookies were right they would go out of buisness, as ed says it is all about cauluated risk and often offsetting betting. although it is unlike smitchell to be negitive and kind of back the bookies

Looking forward to Saturday, reckon it will be a massive crowd and I'm feeling positive, feel like a 1-0 win.

So let's play guess the crowd game (son and I always do this at about 1.30 on match day, I guess first as he is only 11 got to give him a chance).

Last year was 24, 429 for Boro, 33, 432 for Brighton year before, is on TV and early so may effect it a bit so I'm going for 32, 900 as place feeling positive.
