O'Kane back training and named in the next U23 squad, exciting news. We have been pushing on with gusto over the last month with an injury ravaged team, we can surely only improve with a fully fit starting 11 and whatever new gems Mighty Monk and co can unearth over the next few weeks.

I'm hearing we are after ''Proven forward'' Patrick Bamford. Am I missing something here or has he not scored in his last 19 starts on loan? I would rather concentrate on keeping our current crop of players and signing them on permanent deals than wasting money on ''unproven players'' like Bamford and others like that lad from West Ham who looks like Marcus Rashford, came from the same Academy as Rashford, who plays nothing like Marcus Rashford. 5 goals for Barnsley and worth 2 million? if he is worth 2 million then Wood is worth 10 million at least. Hope we sign Jansson and Bartley on 3 year deals give em what ever they want they have been amazing for us this season. M. O. T.

Difficult one re: Bamford. Agree we need to sign up loan players but we also need an additional striker. Not too much quality available in January.

Was thinking he'd be a perfect option until I looked up his scoring record. We need someone that will hit the ground running in January, score a magic hat full and fire us into at least the play offs. That sort of player isn't freely available in January or if they are then they'll come with an inflated price tag.

honestly know a few palace fans and couple on the staff all say he is over rated and has awful perosnality and chip on shoulder, we have good dressing room don't mess about with it for him, nuget far better option and knows wood.

If this is down to the fact we are competing this season and if the cost of us getting promoted is that we no longer discuss Bermondsey and speedy's love life or micks lust for sister-in-law or lucas's bad tips. Maybe I'd prefer were back to mid-table mediocrity.

As no one has anything to moan about and our lives have generally got better I personally think, and clearly this is my oppinion, that we no longer search for solice and are just getting on with life. Let's face it, we were all pretty miserable last year and so cheered each other up with all jibes and banter which over rode poor performance and disappointment 😂😂😂 onwards and upwards - positively over the moon atm. Look forward to returning to Blighty and attending games once more . days to do. MOT.

i read monk put something in contract saying they are unable to re-call unless we say its ok to on ssn. if we are paying a fee often re-call can be blocked according to football manager (a game that sadly I had to quit my post as millwall expert this season, still great that the wall expert is die hard leeds fan, they are such a tin pot club)

I'm pretty sure Berm is right and they cannot recall him. As for getting a transfer over the line it could help us if we bid now. A new manager coming in won't want to turn it down because he will be admitting to wanting to keep what is currently a Champ defender for next season. Selling Bartley to bring in a 'better' defender to help keep them up sends out a better message to his board, the team and the fans, keeping a player in case you go down looks like you expect it.

From what I cam make out with that Derby lad on-loan at Fulham, if it's a season-long loan then both clubs, and the player, have to agree to end the loan, so we got the Bartman till the end of the season (at least)

my first choice is ward from rotherham perfect fit as cover for wood as very similar however if going 4-4-2 think nuget as played with wood before, knows league and scores for fun, think they would get us auto-promotion if monk chose that system and it worked.

No to 4-4-2, just no. We have a formation that is working, our best season in years built upon a solid foundation, don't frack with it. As a result Nugent all the way. Bogle isn't good enough, Winnall will cost more than he is worth, Fletcher great, if we have pennies to spare after bringing in Nugent, as a future prospect, not a starter. Nugent scores in this league, consistently, has been promoted from it, consistently, comes of the bench to win games, consistently (Theme going on if no one has spotted it yet) . The fact that we will probably get him on a loan or for peanuts too, has played with Wood if we need to throw them both on and we lose little if Wood is out, add his prem experience its a no brainer. Have also seen Ulloa mentioned on loan, seems far fetched but basically the same answer from me as for Nugent.
