OK, Having now watched the last 3 games and taken my time in considering my thoughts here goes:

We are carp against teams that close us down quickly, Huddersfield were not at the races and gave us time and space to play and we looked probably the best we have done for a few years, unfortunately both Brentford and Reading denied us the time and space and we went to pot, not totally granted, but and here's a question is it a case of the "newbies" being given time to pick up the pace of the English game or are they missing that little flash that allows them to create the space only time will tell.
Also it was interesting to hear Darko's thoughts on his 2 games in charge, some positives to be taken perhaps, but not many, speaking to a friend who has seen Sturm play once or twice (with DM as boss) apparently they were pretty defensive and not all that quick to get the ball forward, typically Italian/ continental style of play was how he worded it, but given they appear in euro cups most seasons it works for them, unfortunately we play in England where the pace is high, time and space will be denied can DM find a way to adjust his style that allows us to impose ourselves on the game with this current crop of players?
Only time will tell, but feeling better about the whole LUFC scene than I have for a long time, Here's to a good win tomorrow 2 - 0 PLEASE BOYS MOT Wilsosd

Not seen so can't comment but will anyway as I'm gobby like that. I see what you are saying about the favored style and continetal play however I think any manager or half birght footballing brain will be able to adapt and see if a style works or not and be able to mix it up, what work in stum might not work in leeds and darko will be able to see that. not the man I would of gone for but his record deserves respect and time and think he will get it right. I hope our last few performances have been tighter at the back because any manger worth his salt starts at the back and works his way forwards. like to see the new boys like adryan but we have not seen him truth might be he is not that good there must be a reason he ain't playing and the time thing is rubbish good players and managers adapt and do not need time that's what makes them great

We have no one to make that killer pass from midfield at the moment, if Austin and Mowatt looked up instead of just running and making pointless shots at goal they may find space in behind defenders that Antenucci, Sharp, Doukara would be happy to run into. We do not put enough pressure on oppositions defence. When they get the ball they either have a little run at defence and lose it or take a hit and hope, we need to keep the ball in the opposite half and make them defend and goals will come. If teams are closing you down you make the simple pass and make them run about not start panic passing. I think the majority of the players we have are capable of beating most of the teams in this division and when it all clicks together we will be the ones to fear. mot

Right i'm nearly back to 100% fitness, a week in spain pretending i'm 18 again nearly killed me but if the Female bouncer from bristol or the 4 mad girls from cork are reading I look NOTHING like Patrick Swayze dead or alive but tks for a great week lol

Any predictions v the windies??
Im going for 3-2 and Dakoura first goal.

Sleaford is in hibernation since his 7-0 drubbing ha ha but i'm sure he will be back if they get anything. Pity he's not man enough to post when they are losing!!

Oi sleaford how does it feel supporting such a dull team whoes biggest goal scoring threat comes from a player who can't finish for toffee and has hair like a goth girl. leeds on the up where we belong wednesday soon to be the also runs of yorkshire football as they should be MOT.

This is my take on why Darko put his faith in older heads. Whilst I don't want to see the likes of Tonge, Morison etc I think he is right in that we need experience on the pitch to bring the younger players on and they know how to see a game out. However we need players that have a lot more quality about them. You only have to look at the likes of Gerard and dare I say it but Jonathan Douglas ran the midfield for Brentford against us albeit his cup final. I think if we could mix the team with both younger players, including players from abroad and those with Championship experience then we might be able to have a winning formula. He needed to take a look at the players we all know are no good if only to confirm just that. If he continues to put his faith in these players then he needs to go, but we can't berate him for having a look even if it is for 1 or 2 games. I hope he succeeds but if not bring back Redders. MOT
