Here's 2 signings that ive noticed have not been included in tottenhams 25 man squad although they are home grown so dont have to be, but would make an impact at leeds are danny rose and kyle walker and i'd think they would be available on loan

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Danny Rose isn't home grown by spurs - he's ex-Leeds - we sold him to them

Agree0 Disagree0

Yea i know that, was more pinched than sold, doesnt home grown jus mean britain not club?

Agree0 Disagree0

Arent they both 21 or under? If they are they dont have to be included in the 25 man squad

Agree0 Disagree0

Home grown does indeed mean British

Agree0 Disagree0

Each club must have 8 home grown players in the 25 man squad. They only have to have trained for three years under the age of 21 at an English based club. Players 21 and under don't have to be registered in the 25 but can still play in order to encourage young players. So if Kyle Walker & Danny Rose are under 21 they don't have to be registered in the 25 man squad

Just read this on BBC Sport website and wondered if anyone else thinks these are the sort of players we should be signing ?
Nottingham Forest boss Steve McClaren is eyeing loan moves for West Brom striker Simon Cox, Tottenham winger Andros Townsend and Chelsea defender Ryan Bertrand after he announced on Friday he was staying with the club, despite disappointment at failing to add to his squad before the transfer window closed.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Thought bertrand went to bristol city? simon cox and townsend aint nothing special really, i'd prefer to sign mc fadden, rose and bridge if city do the same as they did with bellamy and cardiff

Agree0 Disagree0

Simon cox is good
Watch him for ireland.. Dont really need another striker though

i agree with some of the positive comments been made lately although we were the one of the quiet clubs in britain on tranfer deadline and to lose gradel but i honestly think our luck will change and not only that,
some team is gonna get a real hiding from leeds just hope its sooner rather than later! and although some leeds fans wont agree but most if not all clubs in the championship will fear leeds we were there abouts last season and we be stronger mentally not fearing teams as the did when were a the league one team just promoted to championship. We're very similar to norwich and look at them now! and we took 6 points off QPR with ease! we all know on our day we can beat any team!
we even beat scum in their own back yard! lol good times!
better times ahead for leeds cos we surely all know us fans and the club deserve a whole lot more! possitive thinking ppl! get behind your club!! MOT!

Believable7 Unbelievable2

And hey just think in a few weeks we mite be able to play;
lons
lees kissa odear rose/white
howson clayton
sam snods nunez
becchio

now id be well happy to see that!

Agree0 Disagree0

No i think we should stick with 4-4-2

Is onuoha in man city squad? He could be a good signing for season. Plus man city will pay a high percentage of his wages. Any thoughts

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Yea my thought is no chance!

Agree0 Disagree0

A list of all the prem teams players are in today's sun newspaper - and and onuhoa is on Man Citys list

Agree0 Disagree0

Well we dont need anymore strikers,SG is on SSN saying he was happy for Paynter to stay and prove what a good player he is,its hard to believe we actually turned down money for him,ffs hes scored one goal since 2010,this surely is a big question mark regarding SGs judgement, can you imagine, times running out and we need a goal so send him on,absolutely unbelievable.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its a classic tatcic of PR -- i.e Never sound desperate - or know one will ant him - yo have to BIG him up a bit - which is what Larry is doing again - raising what little stock the lad has on the market he will take an offer for him on loan i suspect; I doubt Brighton were that serious or Burnley - Gus Poyet has sense and would probably make a player out of him actually - expect a Billy loan to them or lg 1 side before December. Rests on Forsell - and it looks to me sadly like he's not coming ? wages ?

Agree0 Disagree0

If we dont sign forsell id like to know if we are or not and for what reason

Ed - please can {Ed001's Note - it will be done for you as soon as possible, sometimes takes a while to get into the files to make that change at the moment. All the server upgrades we had to make during the window has left our quick system for dealing with your request in a mess.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ed - please can . . . what? {Ed001's Note - it was a reply to a specific post sent in, hopefully the person posting will know what I am referring to.}

Ok thats fine - cheers

Hey up dont know about you lot but am looking forward to next week. Becchio and Brown coming back, few new players to come in on loan, will only make us stronger. Just watched full 90 again against s*** ham, we are gonna be ok for rest of season. We dominated large pasrts of that game and some good passing and shape to the team. As for ipswich and middelsborough we were very unlucky, so i'm remaining positive. Next up palace, someone is due a hidding from Leeds and i got a fealing it'll be them. Come on Leeds MOT.

Believable7 Unbelievable1

Brown is a liability - red card waiting to happen

SG is being totaly undermined in the transfer market by Shaun harvey and the old man we could have signed a very good prem player on deadline day that went to Bolton had they backed him also not going to give him all the Gradel money,we need to back Simon and put pressure on the two people who will not invest in this club(the old man and his puppet)

Believable4 Unbelievable3

I take it you wouldn't have posted this had larry landed his targets, the money was made available, but we were up against Prem teams with bigger wage budgets, simple.

Agree0 Disagree0

That is not a fact we had first option on a the prem player but SG could not get the green light from the dynamic duo ,trust me this is from a very good source

Just been playing about with the predictor feature on bbc, yes I tried to be realistic & gave us some losses & draws my glasses may be rose coloured but they do have a realistic tint - anyway it came up with top 6 as follows:-

1 - Cardiff
2 - Blackpool
3 - West Ham
4 - Leeds
5 - Leicester
6 - Birmingham

I can live with that lol

Leeds Taff

Believable5 Unbelievable10

Tinted? They're bust Pal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Only 1 of those teams will make the top 6. They begin with L but it ain't in Yorkshire.

Can't see it happening but would love to see becchio n keogh up front with McCormack just behind Danny Rose in at left back on loan and please larry for the sake of my sanity an imposing no nonsense nothing gets by me central defender

Believable3 Unbelievable0

When will people realise our defensive weakness is NOT just about Central defenders - our problems start in midfield playing too many lightweight ballplayers who are passengers when we don't have the ball - Howson included and the problem is now worse with losing a wide player like Gradel who unlike most wide players could track back and defend!

Ok so we didn't sign anybody but do we want to put our club at risk from money grabbing has beens who don't realise what an honour it is to wear our shirt loan window next week get a couple o players in with a point to prove sounds good to me MOT

Leeds will never get promoted. Will be surprised even
they will get into playoffs.Simon and Bates keeps
telling lies week after week. They do not have any intention to sign anybody. With the sale of Max, the
money will go to make more corporate boxes and
improving the East stand or whatever stand. When the loan market opens,Simon will again say he tries to sign person A, but person A went to another
championship club. Once the loan market closes,
Simon will say "I try bringing in players to strenghtened the squad but player B change his mind at the last minute and decided to stay and fight for a first team place". Time for Simon and Bates to go. Never see Leeds started so badly this
season.A very dissapointed and sad Leeds fan.

Believable9 Unbelievable2

Best thing ever said on this site. Grayson and Bates out!

Love these people on here than describe fans as p***ks, kn*bs, morons and so on for being ultimately disappointed with the lack of ambition, investment (no matter how small) and mis-management of our club.

We had a very good team two years ago without any need to spend millions. However the poor wage structure and stubborn old senile manager we have has allowed players to leave for peanuts. Beckford, gradel being two examples.

I can hear some of you now saying they were going anyway, but if you show the right ambition at board level down to pitch level and reward the performers then players come and stay.

West ham are a prime example of this.....

Instead our team has been picked at by other teams for peanuts and allowed to leave. I am sure with ambition and a willingness at board level to pay the rates and speculate our team would contain gradel, and other high profile targets.

Beckford to Leicester is heart breaking

Instead bates would rather rip of the fans. £38 to sit in upper tier for scum game. £32 a game to go to elland road. £600 for a season ticket. £40 for a home shirt that after 3 washes looks like you bought it in the early 90's and the letterings falling off.

The rose tinted brigade make me laugh. Your kidding yourselves if the think all is well at elland road.

Believable5 Unbelievable2

The fact is that due to the Risdale era, we no longer are willing to speculate to accumulate, we are simply building very steadily by improving all assets which deliver revenue. If we did speculate, we would need to be promoted as without the promotion money, we would go bankrupt. If West Ham do not get promoted this season, they will face administration and possibly liquidation.

Agree0 Disagree0

True - the team can play but that is a false economy as it means Larry and smurf wont invest and keep the low wage structure. Gradle was homesick and let him have that - we wont miss him too badly. Beckford ? lets see how he does. Hulse would be good to replace Billy P
Loan signings like Watt and other skilled players will arrive next week or so - but its a PRIORITY so get a shift on. The Prices are high and as its a one city and passionate club its due to bates monopolising this advantage. It will come back to bite tho if he pisses us all off. He needs to 'impress' fans but i fear hes too old stubborn arrogant and rich to give a toss

Agree0 Disagree0

Excellent original post - agree 100%

Agree0 Disagree0

To the person on about the risdale era putting off the present ie bates and grayson from speculating to accumulate is total crap.if i got bit by a dog i wouldn't go near it again, fair comment. But neither of these 2 where here then so they didn't get bit.Bates saw a buissness oppertunity and took it and hes trying to line his own pocket. What happned with risdale was'nt speculating it was financial suicide we did not need fowler keane johnson and all the gold fish we already had a team that had qualified for champs league.
FACT from a good source on his way to Leeds johnsons agent said if we can get you 13000 a week take it, walks into office thick risdale slapped an offer of 40000 on table he bit there hand off obviously.Thats suicide.what we are asking for is not suicide but sensible speculating where you buy a player who is young enough to give you a return if he moves on or a good experienced player who is going to pass experience on ie stachan all we are getting is players no one else wants.i for one have had enough of we tried but he went to prem or he decided to fight for his place, we must have got money cause we only spent 200000 not even 5% of players sold also more players gone than come in so wage bill must be lower than last season.

Agree0 Disagree0

The point being is that Leeds itself is still tarred with the brush from Risdale. No one will lend us any money to buy players, this is where West Ham etc are getting their money. No one will touch us with a barge pole. Whereas, buildings and infrastructure are still easy to get loans for. Therefore we are taking this route to improve our income to have long term success and stability rather than gambling it all for a quick solution.

Point been if the family who owned my house before me where black listed does this mean no one would give me credit.

Agree0 Disagree0

Your house is not a business. When it comes to a brand image ours is very poor.

Agree0 Disagree0

Point been if the family who owned my house before me where black listed does this mean no one would give me credit.

Credit rating DOES take into account the history of the property/address so YES if previous incumbents had a poor/bad financial record then it could affect you in securing credit.
