I think we all need to calm down. Only 4 championship clubs have done any business so far in this window, and 3 are in the bottom half.
I also don't think we will buy anyone. We may loan a young striker to replace Eddie and a keeper on a free, but can't see us getting a centre back as Bielsa obviously trusts Beradi and Casey.

if belisa trusts beradi and casey then that is the worry. casey might be great but we all know beradi is not good enough and if casey if behind beradi in the pecking order then he can not be ready or that good

everyone talks about getting a ball playing big defender saying it is not easy. but i would argue we could and should get someone better than beradi at CB i would say get someone better than cooper because i don't think he is good enough. let's get a defender in and put cooper on the bench. then i think we will not trhow away what we threw away last year


otherwise it could be the playoffs. and beradi could be playing in the playoffs. and i think we all know and remember how that plays out.

MB reports that Leeds are only just analysing the the situation regarding two players who have been recalled Unbelievable if true we all have known for months this was going to happen, they should have had replacement ready it can only be LEEDS that can't get it right.

Whitey How do you line up a player for incoming transfer in say November when the commencement of the window enabling you to do so legitimately begins only in January? Wouldn't a November move be considered unlawful tapping up?

We assumed they would be recalled.
There should always be a plan in place to replace every player as you never know when a career ending injury or ridiculous offer will occur.

Tapping up? We are just saying that surely there should at least be a list of targets now ready, the time for analyzing was as stated surely back in November/ December .

So Whitey and CC you're getting emotional focussing on Bielsa's use of the word "analyze" believing only now are we researching suitable targets and we weren't contemplating this when the Eddie rumours started. If that's what you want to concentrate on then fine but I'll live in the real world remembering that Bielsa speaks at best broken English and has a full-time interpreter.

I trust Orta to land one out of the following 3. Adams, Gayle or Brewster. I accept Brewster very unlikely but to suggest we are dumb and haven't made plans, contingencies and targets meaning we're dumb and based on Bielsa's English is well not exactly the most intelligent of evaluations or should I say "analysis". 🤣🤣😂😂.

Georgey boy you are living in Cloud Cuckoo Land if you think one of Adams, Gayle or Brewster is coming in the January window to Leeds United . I will run down the street naked if it happens that's how sure I am .

And yes the hierarchy are incompetent and 'dumb' as absolute arrogance and madness not to have at least 3 centre forwards in the squad since last summer . with Eddie gone now we have just one . great!

Bazookoid Is my predo really so preposterous? Let's examine some facts. 1. We're the biggest club in the Championship. 2. Our fans are the best in the Milky Way. 3. We're TOTL vying for promotion to the Premier league. 4. We've got some room to manoeuvre FFP wise with a couple of recent high profile departures. 5. QSI and takeover talk still looms. 6. We're committed to spending fairly big with Helder Costa in July so it's not as if a big money move before then would be a surprise. 7. Your own point - we only have 1 striker. We need at least one more. 8. Finally, we're going for the Premier League so we're hardly likely to make a move for anyone related to Luke Varney or Noel Hunt, are we? Calibre of Adams, Gayle or Brewster required. George over and out!

Roberts ( if fit) can also play loan striker, Harrison had been played there.

So we had at least 3 players for that role, bam, Eddie, Roberts

I don’t doubt Alioski and Dallas would do it too if needed ;-)

We have edmo from U23s too

Bielsa likes a small squad with players with flexibility to cover positions

It’s not his way to have 2/ 3 strikers kicking their heels every week and upsetting the squad. He doesn’t rotate so if Bam is playing as he asks and he’s fit, he starts. Simple as.

I believe tapping up is where a club approaches a player without their clubs permission. If you ask the club for permission to talk with the player first and they agree then it is fine. Therefore you can talk to a player at any time and line up a move providing the club is happy for you to do so.

Yes Georgey Boy your suggestion is at best far fetched to delusional
1.Southampton have already stated that are keeping Adams he is currently in the team and the player has given no indication he wants to go out on loan. it will be a Daniel James 2 scenario
2.Gayles wages prohibitive and again Newcastle have given no real indication he will actually go out on loan this January window
3.Liverpool have gone on record that they will only loan Brewster in tbe January window to a club that actually wants and guaranteed to play him from the start . no chance he is coming to Leeds
4.Radz. is notorious at pretending/ alluding to wanting to sign players in the January window but conveniently failing to do do. so
5 The 3 striker recruitment should have been. done in tne summer when it is simpler and more feasible to actually recruit quality players required .

AND Roberts is always injured and has scored just 6 goals in his entire career. Roberts is NOT the solution for a club serious about ensuring promotion . rather than messing it up like last year's January window and promotion.

we are not the biggest club in the division. we ain't been top flight for over a decade and a half that is not a big club. big fan base yes but that is about it. we don't have the most money, biggest sqaud of prestiege

outside of leeds maybe yorkshire i don't think anyone thinks of us as a big club. we are just a club that did ok in the 70's and have spent more time in league one than top flight in the last 15 years.

Got to feel for the lad, next couple of years his career can go one of two ways

Maybe MB doesn’t feel Edmondson Is ready yet?

Or up to his demands for that position

U23 to championship is still a leap

He’s still very young albeit a beast

Sometimes you just have to accept MB is an internationally proven manager/ coach with the ability to build teams and improve players.

Whereas we are not.

Yea it was entirely predictable that Roberts would be injured for large periods this season as he was last season too

The bottom line is that we currently have just one striker and that is incompetence of the highest order by the Leeds hierarchy.

I said it in the summer, and I'll say it again now, I'm happy with the squad size and make up.

Someone in to replace Eddie and I'm happy, if we don't get someone in I'll be anxious though.
