I'm not convinced Redders is as safe an option as people seem to think - he hasn't got a good record or any real experience at being a championship coach and I don't think leaving him in charge is a good long term plan. Good with kids is one thing but a successful championship boss is totally different.

Hope if he stays for a while he proves me wrong but I think we were lucky at the weekend.

Understood but he has filled in, on occasion and produced, lucky or not the formation was better and he has the players onside and the youngsters who know him and want to play for him! If the new boys see this it can't be bad! Let's face it, it has to be better than a knee jerk to an expensive gamble!

Agree0 Disagree0

Were the players behind Redders or making a point for Hockaday. They seemed genuinely disappointed when he left. Bit of role reversal wouldn't want Redders to support his young lads oto the team if there are better options in the new signings. Was the right decision against Bolton but what about Birmingham? Midfield/wide FROM Mowatt; Austin (if fit); Cook; Sloth; Adryan; Montenegro;Doukara (if fit); Bianchi.(not forgetting Tonge; Murphy ) At the back - Warnock;Pearce;Del Fabro; Wooton(hope not) Beradi; Belusci; Cooper. Up front Sharp and/or Ancelluti. Interesting team selection for Redders. Hope he gets it right. Wouldn't want him to upset MC and/or the fans!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't say he's produced. His record from 6 games is 3 wins and 3 loses.

Anyone think of a good chant for Adryan yet?

He comes from Rio and his name is Adryan. That's best I can do.

What about that one liner from the Stalone movie Rocky is goes something like:

three managers have said no to leeds job why mc rules the roost

We don't have any evidence to suggest the job has even been offered to anyone let alone turned down. Just the usual junk in the gutter press.

Agree0 Disagree0

Im sure 100s of managers will say no to leeds job its a COACH MC is looking for!

Agree0 Disagree0

All paper talk how do we know people have said no. also think leeds fans are getting far too hung up on coach/manager problem. more than any real managers/coaches would. Barca have a head coach who works under a president think any manager would say no to them?

Surely this tosh about Carlos Queiroz is a very premature April Fool? There's more chance of seeing the Archangel Gabriel perched on the West Stand.?!!

That will be our new sponsor then - the bloke with the Red Bull Wings

A lot to be said for leaving things as they are for the time being.A lot of young players need bedding in and getting fit, making friends.Redders will do things quietly. Personally, Gary Mac for me was a great coach but a poor manager.lovely to hear him talk to players.Any player needing a rocket can go stand outside MC"s office.Between huge three of them I think they could produce fantastic players.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree leave redders for time being, not sure he is the one to take us up but is safe hands for now and can go back to doing what he does best (youth) if results are not great after a while. really hope and pray gary mac only ever vists leeds as a pundit or fan. we don't know how he was as a coach just knew when in charge he was poor. not one for going backwards but if we do go backwards it has to be simon grayson and no one else larry was the one who took us up becuase he was the best. why go for someone who wasnt the best that we had? larry or someone new. not getting leeds with the best squad pomoted from league one is not good enough for where we are now. that said loved gary mac as a player. great players often make poor coaches/managers

Even our own OS is against us. Its says on the league table that we have played 6 LWLLWL?.
Do they know something we don't? I thought we won our last game? This waiting for a new manager is killing me. I think Redders should stay as he is. MOT

a new favourite has emerged, Carlos Queroz this time. It funny how the media just manage to find a new favourite every few days until they come out and say "not actually interested"

Who next I wonder. Just to note, recent "favourites"

Grayson,
Cooper,
Clark,
Sannino,
Garcia,

Knowing our luck Phil Probert will end up our manager.

Well my thoughts are for a partnership Coach and assistant coach with two key attributes

1)Football experience
2)Languages between them. English, Italian, Portugeese and Danish for communication.

Does anyone know if the signings can all speak english!

So I would still take Grayson as coach but with an italian assistant coach

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Forget Danish.caspers English is better than Peter Reids

Agree0 Disagree0

Not hard dr t. my daugters english is better than peter reids and she is 11 months old. she only says four words but unlike reid we can understand what they are

Morning all, anyone for giving Redders the poison chalice then? I do believe he could do a very good job, but it has to be viewed differently by Cellino and us all. After the Bolton game when questioned, Redders said the president had asked for his help so that's what he was doing. He did not turn up with his cv in hand asking for the job. With his experience in youth coaching there is probably no one better at moulding fresh new talent into a team. He knows the club inside out and the players respect him. From the Bolton game we know he is not afraid to change things and give youth opportunities and we have a young first squad. He is a massive asset to our club so if it does not work out must be allowed to return to the job he does so well, and with grace not recriminations. Well, that's what I think anyway!

I think you are right on this, I will add that I personally think it was a mistake to get rid of naylor, he was getting good results and it would be good to see him back continuing his development as I feel he could have been a good manager one day, he seemed a strong personality on and off the pitch although not a great player, his game was all about effort and that's what we have had missing in recent years. Just my opinion, I stand to be corrected happily

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree naylor should of been kept. don't mind redders but think there is better out there and we should be aiming as high as possilbe but happy for redders to hold the keys until our new guy comes in

Agree0 Disagree0

Bang on Teeth. Naylor was, and is, a real leader. Something which we really lack at the moment, just wish we still had him on and off the pitch.
