Just reading that QPR are looking at putting a sell on clause for Austin in a new deal so they don't lose him for nothing next season. This way if he signs a new deal and does wish to go next season, they'll get what they believe is his true value.
Maybe this is a good idea and one we should use with Sam.

Sounds like a plan to me Mick, the Sam situation is a baffling one, I vote he commits to us and gets his head down and plays as we know he can, but that's just me. Other news from the front, Coral are still 40/1 for us for the league, I say we make them pay, pile on people he he. In lieu of this and no fix for my addiction this weekend I shall just down the pints and heavily back the Whites. Enjoy

Why would Austin want to sign a new deal if he can move on a free. He has already comeo out and stated that he wants to play for an "established" premiership side. Presumably so he isn't going to boing boing the leagues.
In any case, I only ask the Byram signs a 1 year extension to offer us some security. Same wages this year and an increase next season. If he still wants to leave after this season, we can sell him in the summer and get a decent fee.

i'd like to see clubs be stronger, same with austin, dea gea, bryam and countless others. I think the buy out clause is fair (it protects the players) but also offers a fair fee for the clubs. trouble is players know fee affects sign on clauses and stupid wages so they are greedy and say no. If I was leeds qrp or man u I would say sign two year deal with resonalible buy out or rot in youths. I wouldn't even let them train which puts them off the map and could affect match sharpness and fitness. let them rot for a year if wages mean more than football
