well was not at game but reckon I can give pretty good analaysis.

bell played better alongside cooper (our best defender) but had to make one big mistake and give away pentaly as well it is bell and it wouldn't be bell if he didn't do something bad and/ or stupid.

middle of park looked better with width due to this new invention called winger, I reckon cook played better with this formation and having proper players playing in correct positions.

also woods scored? no idea how he played but wood will score in the end (how I won over the MRS)

looks like belusci has done it again, another penalty given away in the last minutes of the game.

Why the heck was he even in the team?

Bye be Steve.

Who do you play instead bamba or Wootton.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Apr 2016 21:49:14
Because the next best defender is Wooton.

Agree0 Disagree1

05 Apr 2016 22:00:57
I would rather have a donkey on the field than Bellusci at the moment? Surely one of those wouldn't be hard to find?

Two games, two penalties and 4 lost points.

There must be a youngster that has more than Bellusci to offer?

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Apr 2016 22:03:11
Just sums up our centre back choices when Bellusci is considered the best option - no matter which combo is used they're often an accident waiting to happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Apr 2016 22:11:02
I'd play cooper and Wooten just to shake bell up. Also Wooten improved a bit earlier this season give him shout in right position can't do no worse than bell recently.

We might be better off playing with 9 men and no centre backs!

Those days in league one seemed great days compared to our feelings now about our great club we seemed more united and passionate than we have been under the dross we got now Grayson, wise even got us United as a club! Ahhh happy days!

funny my millwall mates and family all say the same, they prefer being in league one as they enjoy the football and results more. I love larry nearly as much as sir john lukic. that is why I honestly won't mind going down relegation is pain but coming up is lovely.

Even in the Bates era we had a team that tried and a manager we could and respected: Simon Grayson. Bates owned the club and probably the assets that were 'sold off'. We either liked him or loathed him but we could get behind the team and manager Remember -15 and all that. Bad times but we were a club. Now we have MC owning 75% (or his family company) . GFH owning 25%. Not really interested in the football club but more about servicing its loans. MC is unpredictable and open to ridicule by anybody in the media. He might be banned if not this time perhaps another time if VAT 'issues' come to light. Even if not the uncertainty is still there. We don' have a manager who we could reasonably believe will be in post for the long haul (that situation is unlikely to change. We have 'home grown' players who will want premiership opportunities but a nucleus of Italian and other 'foreign' players which perhaps causes problems Fans are disunited in their attitude to the present situation. So when I say 'no self respecting decent player would not wish to come to Leeds' it is for those reasons. If potential players and/ or manager/ coach is decent it is likely that they will have offers from different clubs. If you have a choice you probably wouldn't pick Leeds at the moment. So its a vicious circle. Results and performances are poor, we get laughed at in the press, The fans are unhappy and become 'restless' and vocal, we sack the coach but keep the owner, we can't attract quality, Players get unsettled results and performances are poor, potential signings go to other clubs etc etc etc. If I was a decent player, forget club loyalties, and I was thinking about my future, family and general well being it would take a huge offer from Leeds (with guarantees) to get me from my current club where I assume I am happy enough to be performing well. If I get a similar offer from Wednesday, Burnley or similar that's where I would probably go. Without a fundamental change at Leeds we are stuck in the loop. A loop that's degrading all the time.

Spot on fella!

05 Apr 2016 14:30:39
i think you are spot on about grayson, he did a top job and made everyone proud to be leeds, to be fair that really did start under wise who was tacticly maybe a bit short but was the best man for the job and the time and made us united. Gary mac was poor signing and gave us our lowest time ever at the club (first round f. a cup knock out and defeat to millwall in playoffs after poor season) but gary mac's buys made graysons job bit easier and they are some of my favorite times as a leeds fans.

it is what bates did to that team that makes me hate him and IMO makes him the worst thing ever to happen to leeds. We had a prem team which he sold off cheap to line own pockets and he put leeds back 10 years. no club to sell the players he sold, sell the youth he sold with no reinvestment and do well. NW's team of journeymen was another low point for me, so under MC is an improvement on that.

with players and managers coming to leeds it all depends if they have better offers but that is true of every club in the world. champ players want prem prem want champs league and champs leauge want Barcelona or real. so this is part and parcel of game. one player clubs and loyalty sadly are long gone so this is not a leeds problem but how world is. every club is in same boat.

maybe if bates had held on to players and that prem team, maybe if bates reinvested we would be ok, maybe if bates and gfh let go of club we would be better off but these have not happened. and I ask still is this MC's fault? I also ask this if mc had the team bates had we he keep on and invest little to get prem, would he hold on and sell for big profit and put back in team, or would he do what bates did and sell to pay for his house in monoico?

again I want to see more form MC and he is not perfect but surely there is no one who thinks he is anywhere near as bad as bates?

also bates best times come in league one, we are championship so better than that this must be a positive as well surely?

Brill let's bring back the Bates era!

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Apr 2016 15:30:38
Bates had his chance when we went up and finished 7th investment at Xmas would surely have seen us in playoffs nut he showed his true colours towards Leeds by ripping the heart and soul out of the club he always said he'd destroy us for wrecking his electronic scoreboard at Chelsea in 84.

Agree3 Disagree0

05 Apr 2016 16:14:49
i agree I know I support mc but I do think he is flawed but has good point bates is all bad. Bates had a great team and ripped it to bits, MC never had a good team to begin with and I do think this team now has come on in leaps and bounds from the one he inhierated.

i also think mc is slowly learning, manager apointments have got better and he has given them more time as things go on making us more normal club. I hope he invests but reconsie he has done a bit of that already. I think slowly and surely and prepared to give a lot more time than most it would seemne a fair bit.

Rome wasn't built in a day and as people have pointed out we have been average/ average poor in the championship for a while now so I guess these things take time (well apart from if you are Leicester of course) .

I really do think that a strategy on/ off the pitch and with 4-5 quality players added to what we have then we should be a play-off type team. I would hope (? ) that we may only have to pay good money for 3 of them and then get the other 2 either from youth or lower leagues for not much but even if we could do that it is going to cost around 8m+ for 3 quality signings you would think or at least 6m, so a lot of money for MC to put up.

We need a feel good factor, you can do a lot of stuff to help this like kids from schools/ jnr clubs getting in free, reduce season tickets for kids, match day "deals" etc. also get someone in who is a social media expert to handle our online image, sure won't improve results on pitch but will get rid of a log of the negative stuff.

If it was my club, I would do that and make sure my scouting system was best around, so I could get a couple from lower leagues for not much, 1 from youth every 1-2 years say and then only need to buy 1-2 "expensive" players to add that extra quality.

Imo cellino bought a lemon a club in turmoil he has been there 2 years and underestimated the task of turning things around but we have to accept we as a football club were in ruins and it's not going to be fixed in a hurry . As for people on here thinking throw 20 million at it and we're back in the premiership and all is Rosie I have one word " deluded"

Not for me to form an opinion because I don't go to matches and I've always been against boycotting games
However
This does depend on. As BW said
The players trying their best.
The owner showing ambition
The manager being capable
Leeds unlike other clubs has so much wrong with it
The owner. Manager. And most of the players. Other clubs may have one of the three but not all of them!
I thank mcc for saving us and I believe his honeymoon is over
If he dosent change his ways. If he dosent get a proven manager and give him adequate funds to spend and if he dosent get rid of 80% of current layabouts then I would say boycott a good idea. 15,000 people outside the ground protesting but not going in to watch would have adequate effect.
I'm not convinced we are not going down this year.
I'm afraid fat controller needs releasing from control as we are on a downward spiral that I don't think he can reverse!

Well Aussie
Not like me to agree with most of what you say. I'm not sure about the boycotting. But, having generally been a big supporter of MC (as I do think he stepped in at a very precarious time for us) , this summer is very crucial imo. Certainly for my support. I think he needs to dig pretty deep into his pockets if we are to have a chance of a significant improvement next year. I do not believe the team only needs tinkering with. I think more fundamental changes are needed. And I do not agree with BW (sorry) and others who think 5 million will solve the problem. I think Lewis Cook will go. I think MC has already decided SE is going. Yet again I think we are in a crucial transition period. And MC is quickly running out of opportunities to get it right.

no it is over, toy have been thrown out of the pram, I am chucking a paddy and on the phone to a divorce lawyer as we speak. as Aus no one likes a snitch. What happened between me and Jeff was a one night thing. we met in a bar and he predicted he would get me into bed and as all of his prediciton happen I had no chance of resisiting Outside of that and the fling with the two birds form ed's post the other day I have not been unfaithful I haven't even touched my wife (which is a good thing) so I am deeply hurt. Next time I speak to that dispicable speedy will be when I drag him on jermry kyle to show the world what kind of man he turly is and to reveal that I am also sleeping with MR's Mad Micks sister and that is why she shuns MM's advances.

Well BW. You have shown your true colours now, and I realise all the rumours I'd been hearing are true. I was prepared to turn a blind eye to the occasional indiscretion, but dipping your wick with all and sundry just not on.
No doubt you'll come crawling back full of apologies like you usually do, but it's going to take something special this time.
I suggest :
On your knees in the middle of the pitch with a declaration of your affection, or
Persuade Larry to come back, or
make sure we give QPR a good tonking tonight.
Nothing less will do, and I expect flowers and cream eggs by by the end of the day, or I'm booking a flight down under.

did you see me at half time speedy decarling my love covered in creme egg? that is what you meant right? only trouble is I was at the wrong ground and meant to be playing in goal everything went through my slippry grip. as for me getting larry back, if I had some kind of in with sir larry do you really think I would be messing about with you? I mean you are great but larry is different class, I will never forget when I gave him a kiss, larry played it down but I know he loved it.
