Use our rumours form to send us leeds transfer rumours.

I think tomorrow's game can be a win win for us because it's not really going to hamper our season if we go out of the cup. I feel that maybe one of two of the fringe players could show bielsa that they merit a start in the league. I am glad we are finally resting some of our players.

I agree Mezzer, Bielsa is using it as a good opportunity to get a few of them off the bench. I hope to see the young guns playing well but also Baker and Harrison in particular rising to the ocasión. A good performance, no injuries and no draw!

Baker came to Leeds with a fairly good reputation as a skilful ball player who was good with free kicks, but when given a start in the team hasn't lived up to this. This is where the loan system can come unstuck for some as they don't always seem to show or dare I say try their best. A friend of mine is a big Chelsea fan and said that Baker won't make the grade at Chelsea but he thought he would be a good player in the championship. I know Spanishleeds that you have watched him a fair bit in the under23's, what s your thoughts matey.

Mezzer, in the under 23s I keep on hoping that he would really grab hold of a game and influence it, there are small spells of this and little signs, but not over 90 mins. At that level it is hard to understand.

He has been with Chelsea since he was 10 and he obviously seems to impress people with his potential talent but can’t show it in the pitch enough to get a regular berth somewhere.

I think what people do see and like is that he appears very professional, good with the younger kids around him. A good level to have available on the bench.

His situation seems to be mirrored by lots more of these loanees from Chelsea, on good money contracts, but drifting From loan deal to loan deal.

Let’s hope he uses the opportunity he has today and stamps his mark on that team and game.

Bit more on Baker, 5 year contract with Chelsea that lasts until 2022. Best spells have been with MKDons, part of the line up with DelIi Ali that took them to promotion. Also Vitesse in Holland, two spells, one took them to the title. Scored goals and some good ones in both spells. Also has two goals of the season one with Chelsea under 21s and the other with Vitesse.

Was doing ok with Monk at Borough but Pullis arrival killed his time there. You’d imagine he is the type of player that Bielsa should be able to find something in. The x Man Utd boss rated him and Karl Robinson said he was the hardest working player he had ever had! Frustrating!

Cheers for that spanish, let's hope he can kick on, today would be a good time to start.

Well we'll get the chance to see how Paudie O'Conner is developing in a little run out against arsenal!

He got a 6 in the ratings I saw, only 2 Blackpool players rated higher. Looked good and comfortable in the air, less so when the ball was on the ground, according to this report. Not bad, given the opposition and the score!

Looking like Villa about to get weaker. Wolves about to muscle in for Abraham. That'll do wonders for West Midlands relations.

Good point George. The success of the window is just about who is bought but who you lose! I’m worried about Roofe, someone will come in for him and if he decides he wants to cash in on the premiership now, I can imagine Bielsa and the hierarchy saying yes!

If so then only at the right price.

I see a national news paper reporting that Birmingham are in FFP trouble with the EFL, paper is saying possible points deduction. Now who really believes this will happen, not that I would like revell into someone's misfourtune. But if it was Leeds i am sure we would be docked points and fined.

05 Jan 2019 17:31:13
They can be docked up to 21 points, and I think they'll go for it, even if just to get if legally tested. As for Villa and their petulant manager, they deserve all they get. Roofe? why would he go? I think the only teams linked with him will be lucky not to be playing in the Championship next season anyway, may as well stick.

Mezzer, don't forget that they have an ex Leeds manager as there manager now. That connection alone should cost them at least a 15 point deduction.

Doc them 21 then as they also got pep collet.

I hope you’re right about Roofe! Difficult if someone puts a large pay check in front of you with a few years contract! It’s cashing in on his form this year and bringing some security for his family. Hopefully it might spur us on to get something sorted.

If Birmingham are in trouble like that, we should put in a cheeky £4m bid for Jota. They might be tempted to balance books a little and offload.

I know its dangerous to build up and put too much pressure on young players but for me Jack Clarke seems to have scary potential and could go all the way in the game . To the very top including champions league and England . I just hope we get promoted this year and he does it all with us . I think he looks like potentially the best thing to come out of our academy certainly since our prem days . Think he will be our best winger since Harry Kewell . His personality reminds me of an 18 year old Alan Smith making his debut against Liverpool, nothing seems to faze him with a natural quiet confidence, mixed with the modesty displayed by the fact he hasn't quite worked out his own goal celebrations yet . He's an old fashioned winger type who seems to ghost past defenders with graceful skill rather than sheer pace and reminds me a little of a less gangly Chris Waddle . He has already shown us he can finish but he also has the eye for the spectacular goal, like the turn and shot that just scraped by the top corner after he scored against Forest .

So what do I want from the QPR game . Bailey pulling off some blinding saves from shots outside the box heading low into the corners, Foreshaw putting in a Batty type performance at number 4 to prove to me and other doubters that he can ; but most of all JC playing for 90 minutes turning on the style and scoring a couple making him a definite starter for Derby ( no more half time tag with Harrison ) . Oh and of course no more bloody injuries!

Totally Currie. He’s one of the best young talents I would say we’ve had since Milner and Delph, and to me has an air of the great Eddie Gray about him, and two very good feet. Was it Massimo who brought him in? I can’t remember when he joined, and am too lazy to google it!

Think he’s been with us since a nipper . His agent is Iain Harte and I hope he’s looking after him properly, keeping his feet on the ground and advising him to stay with us for his development!

Yes Bright Cellino brought him in and Christianson was going to Blood him in the Carabao cup but he had not signed professional forms so inelegible. Showing his class way back then.

He's fairly local bright. He's from York. He's one of our academy products meaning he's never been on any one else's books. Think it was Redfern who did all the work in his early years.

Good post Red hot, great objectives for the game. I think this is how Bielsa sees cup and under 23 matches, improve fitness, try out different ideas and different players in different positions! Like to see Baker and Harrison both having good games as well.

A good opportunity to see JC in what is effectively championship conditions for a whole game if he stays on.

Seems like a well grounded kid, who money and career alike, would want to contribute for Leeds as long as he can. We need to grow with him so we can give him premiership football and hopefully in time more!

That said playing him for the whole game in a match live in over 60 countries will put him in the shop window. Bound to be on the shopping list of, the top 5 premiership clubs in the future if they hold off now!

He has been here since he was around eight years old and when i say Cellino brought him in meant signed professional contract when Cellino was owner. Leeds through and through. Top talent.

Talks of signing a new keeper must of been paper talk BS . If we were desperate for a keeper they would of had one lined up to come in on jan 1st surely.
I don't think we will actually make any signings to be honest.

MB has now said that if we can bring in better players, or cover for injured players, then we should, so I’m thinking 2, maximum 3 additions, of which a GK must be one.

Mighty, not that simple! Unless you want to pay way over the odds for players no one else wants. G keepers in particular are very vulnerable to injuries and form of others and in Newcastle’s case their general politics! Some decisions are left late and you have to have back up options. Finally if we are trying to do loan deals as a preference, we might have to wait to see if anyone wants to come in and buy the player.
