Where's CCCP? Something about a prediction which was bold.

Georgey

A bit odd that CCCP Corky called your predictions of home wins for West Brom and Brentford (against Hull and Wigan respectively) , bold

. as both were odds on home wins.

I’m in Cork lads. Sorry George I forgot to congratulate you on your amazing predictions. Well done 👍.

Prob got super fresh legs Chris due to not getting a look in all season. Their playing him now to try push his price up as there’s whispers they need to offload him in Sumer due to finances.

With talk of our interest in Buendia is it worth mentioning a cheaper option, Bradley Dack. He was certainly on the radar a couple of windows ago and is certainly a mainstay of Blackburn, whose campaign is going nowhere.

Agree Leo, we should have been in for him when he was at Gillingham, good player.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2020 20:15:37
Not for me, no way good enough for. the big time, too small and slight.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2020 21:25:43
Great shout Leo he scores goals too regularly wherever he’s played, and we definitely could do with more goals throughout the team.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2020 23:01:07
Chris, messi is hardly a 6'6" hulk now is he.
Whether he is good enough for the big time is a different matter.

Havnt heard ducks name mentioned for ages, has he had his purple patch?

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jul 2020 10:36:30
Injured badly, and still out I believe. definitely worth a shout though if he gets back to fitness and form. Bobby Collins, Billy Bremner, Gordon Strachan weren’t “units” either. If you can play football, size counts for very little, tho granted, the game has become much “bigger” in the same way rugby has changed drastically in the last 30 years.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jul 2020 15:09:49
Not a Bielsa type in my opinion .

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jul 2020 21:31:47
size is never the issue but our side does need. strachan and batty had chapman, white an fairclough (speed also great in the air) . bremner and Collins had Chalrton etc

our team has no one who is good in the air as seen against luton we need this.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2020 15:41:36
Fully expected the win. We usually beat Blackburn just as we always have a nightmare against Cardiff. Swansea and Charlton will be tough for us just like Luton. Derby we struggle against when the chips are down. Think we will need the 10 points. Barnsley, Stoke wins, Swansea and Derby - two points. Leaving it to win against Charlton to get the job done. Can't see who is going to take points from Brentford and they have good on their side and West Brom should drag themselves across the line.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

05 Jul 2020 16:05:01
Brentford are on a roll of wins ( so far 4) but it will be some unlikely achievement by them to win all 9 matches since the restart . surely they will have at least one possibly two matches that don't quite go to plan with a draw or a defeat.

Having said that Leeds need fully focus on ensuring they win their own matches and getting those 10 points.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2020 17:49:09
End of the day the can both win all there games 20 v 0, but if we get 10 points the we are going up, I said we are going up.

Agree3 Disagree0

05 Jul 2020 18:44:01
7 points will see us up. I said when we started back 14 points would be enough and I still believe that.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Jul 2020 19:57:36
Danumwhite it will be the hardest 7 points We have to play teams that can cause us very big problems .

05 Jul 2020 12:40:58
See again Leeds are linked with James, Only if he's on a free transfer and not to higher wage, otherwise we should be looking at others, I know he's an x Leeds but we have so many maybe move on .

Believable0 Unbelievable0

05 Jul 2020 13:11:37
Whiteman, absolutely agree. Only if on a free AND much lower wages.

I love the guy, and I think he has a lot to give to a club like ours, but we can not afford to be spending a fortune on his signing if we get to the Premier League and it's only our first season there.

Just whilst I am texting, the scenario with Augustin. I can not imagine for one minute that there is a lawyer anywhere in the world that would aet up a contract that said we had to buy a crock. It just doesn't make sense. So any contract for JKA would have a caveat that at the point of permanent signature the player would have to go thro the normal medicals.
If thus is the case, if JKA gets thro the medicals (and LUFC have foreknowledge as to what to look out for) then don't we actually get a PL standard player for a very reasonable price?
If he doesn't pass the medical, sorry but we can't sign him
Further to that, doesn't JKA actually have to want to sign for us? Maybe he didn't get fit because he didn't like how hard he would have to train to get in the side. Maybe Murderball just gave him a reason to actually never get fit here. Maybe at the end of the day JKA didn't take to the Yorkshire weather and a staple diet of fish and chips.
For my viewpoint if we do sign him we will be getting a committed and fit PL player and if we don't then we didn't miss much. Win Win.

Agree3 Disagree0

05 Jul 2020 13:58:00
Whiteman.

. this James Milner to Leeds stuff is all pie in the sky as he signed a contract extension with Liverpool until 2022; furthermore he is on a prohibitively huge salary of £140,000 a week.

However, I believe Milner will want to go into coaching in 3 or 4 years time and it would not surprise me if he was involved in some coaching capacity in the future with his first love Leeds United

Logical post Axe re JKA situation ; one would certainly hope so.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2020 14:21:40
Axa fully agree, Bazooka again agree, but football is a funny game and with the way we seem to buy players is wouldn’t surprise me, AJ was injured before we loaned him and still we went and signed him, but that’s because Radz left it to late again.

05 Jul 2020 12:40:48
hope everyone had a happy indePUBdance day yesterday. I am now over my hangover and loving life yesterday

firstly luton proving that was 2 points dropped and not acceptable. all this leeds is the cup final rubbish is just not the case. Luton are playing for survival every game is a cup final ours is just one they do well in

to us yesterday and i loved it, we didn't play well, blackburn probably the better team and desevred at least a draw but we beat them comfortably. i love games like that rather play bad and win as anyone can play well and win but we was off yesterday but clinical

well done to KP only second goal of the season but shows he has the class just needs to do it more and be near there bx not ours

anyway all this just my opinion but what is beyound doubt is we are one step closer. when do we start to dare to dream? MOT.

05 Jul 2020 14:04:47
Blackburn had a good spell in the first half but Leeds were definitely the better team over the full 90 ; i think Leeds deserved the win.

05 Jul 2020 16:40:28
sorry bv i didn't explain myself well. what i meant was going by how things normally pan out leeds would of lost yesterday. we was on the back foot belisa was not happy and they carved us open quite a bit. but they was not clinical and we was. Not sure who had most possession but normally we have 80% and don't score many yet conceed but yesterday we was very clinical as oppose to being dominate and I prefer that and love games like yesterday.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Jul 2020 13:38:23
I agree with you bermo, burn had their chances in first 30 to nearly finish the game, we rode our luck and turned the game around, which is fine as I feel that adds a lot to team psychology, Just hope the lads are up for this with a cup final attitude in the remaining games . ALAW.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2020 12:11:26
I think we can find untold horrors in every one of our remaining fixtures, however, and yet I’m still totally chilled and convinced WTF is happening to me.

Although there are some additional benefits of late, in the main teams will have to come out and go for a win, Stoke cannot be sure, if draws will keep them up, both Swansea and Derby Will most likely need all three points for playoff positions and Barnsley and Charlton will definitely need three to avoid the drop.

Whilst that makes them desperate for the win they’re also in the same boat as us in feeling intense pressure for the points so rather them than a middle of the table club like Reading playing us without any pressure whatsoever.

Other plus for me was, I thought we named a more reliable to perform team yesterday and Douglas and Alioski both played ok, which means we don’t have to rely on our more flair but equally inconsistent players.

That being said, Costa who falls firmly in that category made Bam bam goal against Fulham and was involved in Dallas equaliser against Luton.

Probably why Bubs the coach and I’m an armchair know all, were going to do this boys we really are 👍#get promotion done.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

05 Jul 2020 14:30:56
Yes Douglas and Alioski played quite well yesterday. Douglas took some decent corners as well . much better corners yesterday by Leeds than previous games.

As for the Stoke game, I hope Pablo starts we really need his invention at home in creating chances and getting that all important first goal of the match.

Zooks Can see Pablo starting against Stoke instead of Tyler the Creator. He took a bit of a knock.

George I do hope your right, we need him to set the game up, as with him we don’t seem to get it on if you know what I mean.

Was it a bad knock Georgy? We need as many fit as possible even with Bielsa never making too changes.

06 Jul 2020 00:28:00
Whitey We don't seem to be playing much above 2nd gear right now. Understandable in the heat.

Corky Looked a heavy knock, rather than a bad one. I expect him to miss Stoke given his injury sensitivity or maybe he'll take a place on the bench.

Next two games will be super tough I think. I would be feeling more confident about the Stoke game if it wasn't for Warnock being in charge. He is no mug and will know exactly how to play against us and set his team up accordingly. Swans away are always tough as well. If we come out of those with a decent haul and a good lead over the pack then I think we will be ok but it wouldn't surprise me if we get 2 draws from those games. Hoping it isn't any worse.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

05 Jul 2020 09:58:46
No need to worry about Warnock Alfie! He’s at Boro last I heard!

Agree3 Disagree0

05 Jul 2020 10:07:27
A senior moment there fella, but your right in the fact playing a Warnock team would of been a big concern for us. However Swansea also have caused us problems in the past, but I don’t think so this time.

Alf, I know the pubs reopened yesterday, but there was no need to go mad! 😂😂.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2020 14:21:27
Spot on Alfie, these are definitely the games thAt could blow it all wide open, surely even though there's. no fAns, the. players can find it within themselves, the adrenaline to push us home these last handful of games, I fear 1 more slip is going to be really damaging for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jul 2020 05:50:24
Great result yesterday and much needed . I'm very worried about Brentford.
We can't afford to slip up as they are sweeping all aside in their last few games . They also appear to have a reasonable run in on paper .
Also their goal difference gives them means technically they are only 5 points behind us.
Reading beating Luton 5-0 away just shows how bad that 1-1 draw was for us but it was their cup final.
Very Cautiously optimistic At moment .
3 wins and a draw will do it.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

05 Jul 2020 06:33:08
Mighty, Brentford will win it, Leeds could be second or we have a fight on our hands in the playoffs, one thing they have is a great striker who is keeping them going, we are not playing as well as we did before break but fighting hard and I hope we can pull it off. Don’t want play offs again.

05 Jul 2020 08:33:26
Don't worry about Brentford, Wrighty. "It is easier to follow than to lead" as Shakespeare once probably said! 😉.

Morning to you all . Aren't Sundays so much better after a victory? Few questions for all after watching extended highlights from that game this morning.

Dallas has being a mainstay this year but that 11 last night IMO deserve another go on Thursday.

So keep Dallas and Costa and Pablo on bench if all are fit or change? How about Kiko for the last 3 games, yes or no?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

05 Jul 2020 05:51:07
Keep as is for me. Don't ever let Kiko back in again.

Hopefully Bielsa will only give Kiko a game when/ if promotion is guaranteed.
Having said that I don't want him to play for us ever again!

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Jul 2020 08:35:35
No kiko for me, way too unpredictable and just not good enough. He doesn't instill any confidence in fans let alone the back 4, adios i say.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Jul 2020 10:09:05
and it’s a no from me as well.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Jul 2020 10:21:43
I am with the "No for Kiko" brigade. Not for any other reason than Meslier has the jersey and we are still going strong. I can always see a reason that a coach chops and changes in the outfield, exhaustion, temporary lack of form, tactical, but not the goalkeeper. He should never get exhausted and there aren't many tactics to being a goalkeeper. The young lad is saving lots and he is in a team that is winning. Keep on going is what I say.

As for Dallas, give him a breather and allow Douglas a chance to bed in whilst he is fit and well. Douglas won't give us anything anywhere else on the pitch. He needs to own left back. Dallas we already know can do a job almost anywhere (definitely my most improved player of the season) .

Would like to see Henandez on from the start. His ability can get us the early goal we seem to need to settle the nerves. Roberts on after 60 to give the opposition a different style to counter, and hopefully increase the speed element.

Costa, needs to cool his heels on the bench and start realising he is not the first name on the team sheet and he needs to up the output (assists and goals) . Alioski gives 100% every game I see. That is what Costa needs to do. Then his superior ability to Alioski would see him as a first team regular.
