None of us know in any way how this season will pan out, ultimately they are 3 possible scenarios, top 2, playoffs or also rans. The most important things is we are building. Rads has been in charge not much more than a year, resulting in the club being in much better shape. We have cleared out all the dead wood and the current manager and coaches have the team and the under performing players playing much better. A few astute signings in Jan and again ( if needed! ) in the summer window and we have to be there or there about.

With Biesla now not having to spend his time watching Leeds United videos does anyone else here believe he may be turning his attention to watching videos of Championship/ Lower Premiership standard players with view to additions to the squad in January?

To me he comes across as a thoughtful and methodical individual. Hence the reason he didn't want to recruit in the summer. At that time he would have had no idea of the exact demands of this league and what individuals may dovetail. Now, with a bit of experience, he could be assessing our weaknesses and other players strengths

Would love to see Leeds go all out to hunt down a specific individual and splash the cash.
(I will always believe Bamford was bought because he played in a certain area of the pitch, was not overly wanted by his club, and was a reasonable price)
I can't remember us chasing after a target in many a year (Rio Ferdinand? ) . Most of our buys are just available individuals.

I don’t think the guy has much time off

He’ll be watching game after game

Ours
U23s
Opponents
Anything victor sends him

Guy is a total pro

Believe in Bielsa.

He def doesn’t seem to leave anything to chance.
Very smart man and so far is doing well.
I am impressed in general with how the team is playing and am hoping that the players keep learning his ways and improving.
I think he has the managerial ability to win the league, just not sure he has quite enough quality players.
But although they are frustrating to watch at times the defence is solid and they do give you the impression that at any given moment they can score.
They excite me with the way they play which is more than Christ or monks teams ever did.

In the past not been a fan of the international break but it's gunna help us this time with our current injury problems.

Or maybe not Taddy. Last break was when Roofe picked up his injury. I remember seeing him post on social media that it was like pre season training 2.0 and Bielsa was working the players he had extra hard due to no games. So could have one or two more injuries in a week or two.

Here's the plan! Simple! If we just win the rest of our games we win the league!
It's in our own hands, how difficult can that be? 😜.

Blimey, why didn’t anyone else think of that 😜. Simples. Ever thought of being a footie coach?

Hey guys last 2 days in gran canaria its been a fab holiday and i will be at paddys bar on maspalomas beach watching the lads v bees tomorrow its going to be a tough game with possession even think Dallas will get the nod for LB just for his experience and knowledge of Brentford i'm going for a tight 1.0 win maybe coops or pontus header from a set piece but hey will take that! Back to the sunbed later fellow leeds brothers MOT 😎.

Southampton rumoured to be interested in Roofe. The way we are playing I can see a few of ours attracting unwanted interest. Unwanted by us on the terraces at least.

all relative mate be happy to see anyone go for the right price as I think Rads will reinvest and MB and orta are getting in good players. question is what is a decent price for roofe, i'd take anything over 12 to be honest, that said I like roofe so happy if he stays.

05 Oct 2018 17:45:08
With you on that Bermo. Anything 12ish would be good business, but I'm not too keen on unbalancing the squad mid season, if we are still there or there abouts. Would take any new player months to get up to Bielsaball speed.

If wood is £15m
Roofe is £25m

Or they can look elsewhere

KP £35m obviously 😜.

06 Oct 2018 02:41:51
I wouldn’t be accepting anything under £20 mill for roofe and £25 mill for KP.
I think the caliber of some of the teams looking will get us a better price. Not only cheapskate Burnley but tot arse south too apparently.

im more conservative 5mill kp and 12 roofe, roofe has to go all season like wood to really command a fee I feel,

Gotta keep at it. If I was a betting man I'd say only Brentford out of top 7 not getting 3 points this week.

If you were a betting man, what's the odds of us getting a penalty? Been 49 games since the last one (missed by Pablo FYI) will we go 50 up?

Around 50/ 1 for that Aussie my friend. Food for thought 🤔.

seen england sqaud no KP so my bum is safe from the tatt for now. also sanchez first player born this century to play for england. god I feel old.

Travesty of justice no KP.
Sack the manager.
I don’t think your bum is safe for long though bermo.

{Ed001's Note - is that a threat or a promise regarding Berm's backside? Sounds sinister...}

I always worry for the safty of my harris Aus. in southgate my bum trusts.

Speedyg already tatted up Berm's berm while in his cellar.

05 Oct 2018 07:13:27
Funny ed. I was referring to the KP tatt or maybe a KP branding iron would be more suitable.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Oct 2018 10:23:28
Think there’s enough room on berms huge rear for all of us. The Leeds team and his mate kp!

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Oct 2018 11:42:58
speedys tackle did impress me far more than KP's but both have great ball control

there is room on my rear for kp's branding iron bt he has got to catch me first and I don't fancy his chances

in all honesty did anyone really think he would make the england team. I know I am harsh on the lad and he is a great passer but even his biggest fan must think he is a million miles away from prem and england team surely?

I am basied but think the prem and england talk is just fake news or lazy jurnalisim.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Oct 2018 13:16:11
I think Biesla is moulding him into a particular sort of midfielder and if he carries on learning and improving then yes. I can see him in an England shirt within a year.

can't teach mobility, pace, accelration or make someone strong in tackle. for his strenhts they have really come on. My question would be this. Shevley don't get in the england team due to lack of mobility and pace. now for me shelvey is a better passer than KP and also faster, fitter and more mobile and plays at a better level so I can't see KP ever making the team

questions on Shevleys attitude where as for me none on KPs but still think him getting in england will never happen you can not coach speed.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Oct 2018 17:43:19
I think KP has more of a chance of getting his first cap before Shelvey gets his next. I'd also put KP in front of Henderson.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Oct 2018 17:57:19
If Eric dier can play for England so can the marvellous KP.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Oct 2018 19:35:07
Actually, you can teach mobility, pace and acceleration, hence the US Universities having well funded athletics programmes

They can even teach "strong in tackle" but that is as much muscle memory and brain reprogramming to a "can do" state

. but I still agree with Berm that the lad isn't at England standard. He is like a poor man's Henderson.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Oct 2018 21:37:11
Henderson makes decent relish

He’s no Milner though.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Oct 2018 09:52:02
Axe you can focus on that and make a slight difference but can't see Phillips improving in these areas enough. I can't beleive someone on here said better than henderson and Ed didn't jump on them. i'm sorry i know i am harsh on KP but henderson. next bamford (who I like) will be better than kane and harrision stirling.
