Use our rumours form to send us leeds transfer rumours.

I have been reading some articles with regard transfers and the way MC has not spent enough during the transfer window. Whilst I know we are not completely happy (we never are🙄) that we haven't signed some big names from the premier league, the fact remains that we have brought in fresh blood. We need to remember that we were nearly broke not so long ago and are still recovering. MC has made some bold statements and yes he has made some seriously poor decisions that has no doubt cost the club (and ultimately him - he owns it! ) money. Yes I wish we owned the ground and yes I wish he hadn't wasted money in the courts but in the big scheme of things we can't have everything and whilst we have GFH involved then we can't afford to be reckless. I want to see our club back on top and successful. I don't think slagging our new players on 'so called'fans sites will do the morale or well being of any of the players any good. Let's asses them on their performances- not how much they did or didn't cost😡.

Agree, also in a Radzinni articles was the fact that over the last number of years
the club has produced a £90 million surplus of income to expenditure/ investment . This is described as an underinvestment . This money has nearly all been taken out of the club . If it had been invested properly where would we be sitting now?

Peacock I do get what you are saying, the last thing I want to read is Leeds are in money trouble again.
I just think we could have dome the bridcutt deal quicker and shipped a few more out .
I also do wonder who the hell is sorting half of this players out, Botaka can not even get in the Charlton squad!
When I look at the players signed for not hugh amounts of cash who can do a job I have to wonder .
M C expects top six and I still don't think are squad is good enough for that, which means he will sack Monk rather than give him time .

Big name players from the premier league. You could buy Leeds United and Elland Road for what a big name player from the premier league costs.

Good post PP. What the club has done over the last year or so is sell 3 of its top players and used the money to stabilize its finances and spread the strength all over the pitch except for one position (attack) . I'll take that as this stage. You never know what might happen. Wilks Stokes and Mulhern could break into the first team and score the goals we need. There's so much cause for optimism now.

That a boy George from little acorns Leeds so badly needed to be stabilized now we are building for the future I know we have sold some of our bright lights but not for buttons like before but we have reinvested and also brought some talents to our development squad.

Have to agree with dogwise. Although there is not a lot I could disagree with Peacock's original post. Have we not once again gone for quantity over quality. Posters are questioning the suitability of Grimes, is Henandez a luxury player who can only play in one system. Woundn't it be better to get 6 players who it would be unlogical not to put on the pitch.

Agree George

But your posts are still a bit like entering the twilight zone for me. I read it. Check the poster. Read it again. Check the poster again etc etc etc etc
Then get a bit confused. Then start feeling like aliens have taken you away. Experimented on you. Then brought the better version back. It's all a bit creepy
The good news is.
I know I have at last got someone else that thinks woods is a plank! If u get my drift.

It WAS actually a LONG time ago that we were 'nearly broke' and that kind Mr Bates came in and ripped off a lot of our sponsors and left us with the legacy of GFH who to this day are still leeches like a ball and chain! (and probably the main reason why any potential buyer stands back. )

If you'd like to sue me Ken, bring it on, I could probably sell my story somewhere. (oh, just like you did every week. )

The main fault with Cellino (in my opinion) is his almost total ignorance to the English football scene. Unfortunately we have 'jumped up' people who think they own the championship but are quite content to put money in their pocket every week without actually taking responsibility for sorting things out and updating the very rules they live by.

Cellino has broken rules but defied the powers that be, and I really do admire him for that.

, . just shows how corrupt and useless these 'officials' actually are when faced with a determined maverick like Cellino!

"That a boy George from little acorns Leeds so badly needed to be stabilized now we are building for the future I know we have sold some of our bright lights but not for buttons like before but we have reinvested and also brought some talents to our development squad. "

The one flaw in all of this is that we should not be selling anyone (in an ideal world) I have to say I was disappointed to see even Tom Lees leave Leeds, let alone the real talent (Howson, Snodgrass, Bechio, Byram, Gradel, etc, etc, regretably the 'real' Leeds team got wiped out 15 years ago by total mismanagement and insane financial stupidity from people who are quite probably enjoying their own financial independance at the cost to everyone paying to watch Leeds play these days. (that's you then Ridsdale, )

Don't hold Cellino responsible for all the problems at Elland Road, he is a major factor but he isn't/ wasn't the major cause of our problems.

Answers on a postcard please to Ken Bates/ Care of Monaco

I'm sure it will get there.
