1 million what a joke when ya got un proven players such as Dwight Gayle going for much more, cheeky smog lovers rossco is a top forward at this level, an international all be it for Scotland he's worth 3 or 4 mill in my eyes. Tell boro and pool to take their 1 mill and shove it high and hard! Leedsleedsleeds

Totally agree - Leeds need to play hardball tell them they are taking the Pi$$ and if they are interested to come back with bids in excess of £5m

For those of you who laughed at me last week when I told you Byram probably would need surgery, and will be out for most of the season: please read Mac's statement at OS today. Not all of us are making silly rumours and bad judgements at this site. !
Sad for young Sam, tragedy for club! And NW to blame for this! Let's hope Byram will make it back!

Even if he had to have a full hip replacement (which he won't need!) he'd be walking in 6 weeks and back in 3 months! Out for the season is a crazy suggestion - he was walking well at ER last weekend and has done some running. More likeley to be a minor op to clear out some fragmentation ie keyhole surgery. 6 weeks tops.

Agree0 Disagree0

I've never said he'd be out for season. But with this kind of injury - if he need surgery - he will not be back before christmas, more likely in february, possibly not before easter. This is my profession mate!

Agree0 Disagree0

So you re a top surgeon who likes to go on rumour sites to speculate on football injuries?
You also have a 'told you so' attitude similar to a 15 year old?
In addition you seem really pleased about the severity of this injury.
Very professional.
Please give details of which hospitals you work at so I can avoid them.
Cheers.
Jonny H

Agree0 Disagree0

He hasn't confirmed that he does need an operation.
He said he MAY need surgery, therefore you are inviting comments of negative nature as you don't have any more of an idea than any one of us here.

An educated guess at best.

If we sell Ross for 1 million it would be a disgrace, imo he was our best player on saturday. What an insult bidding that amount, whoever BM wants or needs it makes no sense selling one of our better players for that, we can't replace him with anyone as good for 1 million. And hopefully GFH and BM will laugh it off. If god forbid he does go then this would be a terribly negative statement and a kick in the teeth to us paying supporters. Why would you want to swap leeds for middlesbrough anyway, Ross won't want to go. Vinny.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I shouldn't worry, there's no way in this world that with the forward strides we have taken with increased attendances that they would sell one of our top players, especially for 1 mill. If it was 4 mill then maybe. if gfh say signed mills and mcanuff then that's a massive statement and more like it. Shrew leeds

Middlesbrough apparently put a 1 million pound bid for McCormack but why would he go to a crap team like them when they have no Chance at promotion

Believable0 Unbelievable0

They have just as much chance as us. they finished higher than us last season so what basis do you think they have no chance?

Agree0 Disagree0

We actually finished above Boro last season.

Agree0 Disagree0

I admit they have a good manager and chairman, but really, thier crowd was 17thousand on sat and a terrible attmosphere. They are as skint as us if not more as in debt. If Brian sells Ross he must have a reason, but the way he's been talking about him, I think he really rates him and we all know Ross dosnt want to leave. don't think this is a starter at all, not for that price, but Brian might have other ideas and players he sees as the future and its up to him.

Agree0 Disagree0

No boro finished above us last season

Some targets we could look at;
Carlton Cole-free
Gary O'Niel-free
Matt mills-750k-1m
Gary Mackle Stevens-750-1.5m
Niki Wells-500k-1m
Some good targets that really would improve the squad but I know we have move dead wood on first
Dead wood;
Pugh
Brown
Drury
Pearce-good player but think he could leave for a good 750k
Norris
Tonge- did really well on Saturday but still think we need fresh blood
Diouf- great player but I think we could get a better so we could sell for about 750k
Varney

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Varney pearce drury and tonge will not leave this year. To say that they are deadwood all four played on saturday and three started. don't really know who we will get rid of but can't see it being any of them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Drury, Tonge, Pearce, Diouf and Varney all should stay for me. Great squad players who can offer us a lot this season.

I agree with Norris, Brown and Pugh

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't get it - you think pearce is good player, you think diouf is a great player, and you think tonge is playing well but you want rid of them - genius

Agree0 Disagree0

Peace will go nowhere he's just as good as our other 2 cbs pelts and lees. we need 2 get rid of diouf, pugh, drury, white and brown the rest offer something, diouf does but fed up of his sulky attitude and if we sell austin il be very happy terrible player

Agree0 Disagree0

To the poster above, Austin played about 71 games last season, travelled 3 times around the world playing for Jamaica and managed to break his leg in the process, was rushed back far too quickly by Colin.

Austin will be quality at this level, especially with Murphy & Green around him, to say he's a terrible player is just wrong.

Macca72

Agree0 Disagree0

I was Austins biggest critic last year I thought he was a hopeless headless chicken. However last few games last season he played really well and from what BMD has said recently he is a key part of the team. One of the posts here is right, 71 games, broken leg, world travel can't have helped. I hope I'm proved wrong and he is a huge success. JD

Agree0 Disagree0

Austin is terrible, very greedy and very slow. I remember him shooting from 40 odd yards i'm sorry but he's a shockingly poor player

Just wondering if anyone agrees that the atmosphere was for from the best we have had and McDermott was raving about it. Can't wait for him to see it if we string a great run together because although Saturday was the best atmosphere for a while it was nothing on that Bristol rovers promotion winnin game and Liverpool at home that season.

Hopefully he can experience the sound we will make when we get promoted back to the premier league in the next couple of years, then he'll know Even more so how special elland road is when it's rocking!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree, I didn't think it was that noisy considering the size of the crowd. Mind you my ears were ringing after the second goal!I also don't like the empty section in the west stand, maybe they will change that now Ken has gone!

Agree0 Disagree0

OP here, yes I think it was quiet in parts too. I think that was mainly down to the Brighton fans not singing much, as when the away support is good we get louder to drown them out and you get the banter going.

One of the Yorkshire Derby's at home should show him what it is really like when elland road is rocking.
