I have no worries about the latest injuries. I think Shackleton and Halme will be adequate replacements. In fact I think potentially they are going to be better than the players they are replacing.

Definitely excited about seeing them strip for this week's match. As the saying goes "If you're good enough, you're old enough. " From what I've seen so far, they are old enough.

I'd say that MB seems quitely optimistic about what we have in reserve, some seriously good academy produce and a few decent players all but recovered from injury all readying for the 2nd half of the season.

The only thing that worries me is we may have a squad that's capable of walking the walk in this league but I certainly don't think we have a squad that can really make inroads in the PL and if i'm being honest I wouldn't want promotion if we were to do a Huddersfield town.

If the intent is there then some serious money needs spending in the January window, not the summer, so that those players are ready for next season. Then again Bielsa is some what of a genius and we all thought we were going to get hammered against Stoke on the opening day so.

Kiwi, you should be careful about telling the world that you're excited about young lads stripping ;) jus saying.

Yeah, Huddersfield have had it bad. Two seasons playing top flight football and will probably get relegated with over £100m in their bank balance.

The fact is you go up with the squad you have and you sign what quality you can afford in the summer window. Who would spend 100 mill or whatever in Jan. If you miss out on promotion your goosed and you will get better quality if you are playing premier league.

Well said BigE, I'm of the opinion that if Bub's got anyone in mind for next season Mr Orta will be tapping them up already :)

Don’t forget where Sunderland’s bank balance got them after prem relegation!

I see Lewis Cook is out for 9 months injured. suppose that is Bielsa's fault as well!

He spent a weekend in Leeds and Bielsa offered him a chance to train with us!

Ideal for a move back to Leeds then. lol.

Hard to see how any of the injuries are down to Bielsa. Joint displacement and broken bones have little to do with training, just bad luck which we are used to. Some are on their way back just hope Shacks does well at right back, KP will sort middle of the park and then go home and iron his England kit.

Perhaps while he is ironing his England shirt he can use it to do the branding, or tattooing! I was only joking about Bielsa, I don’t think he’s responsible at all for the injuries. The Lewis injury shows its fate! Everyone connected with the club is jinxed!

It was a joke! That said, some people on here have blamed Bielsa's football philosophies, and training, for our very unfortunate spate of injuries.

Had all the injuries been of a muscular type then it would probably be something to do with training but none of them are, so, bloody bad luck, sadly.

Al is correct. We have experienced a bad run of contact injuries. That's football. Nothing you can do about it.
The only thing Bub can be held accountable for is inspiring the players so much that they are willing to put their bodies on the line for the sake of the team. I would be happy to blame him for this all season long.

Hi fellow sufferers or believers. Sorry old brummie got took me 2 attempts to join in but I feel as needs a Sydney offsider but I admit spanishleeds you are on the money and what you speak is where the Aus dollar goes.

Sorry Aus but being a longtime supporter from the fa cup loss against Sunderland for some reason we are faired to fail these days. I have a sneaky gut feeling we are brewing and building something fresh and appealing.

In the debate about the injury hit squad don't write off the "kids" in the under 23s.

They are playing competitive football every week.

They are exposed to the clubs playing style and playing methods.

They are watched regularly by the Coaching team including Corberan and Bielsa.

We know what they are like, lifestyle and attitude to training.

A first team opportunity means the world to them, their future lives could well depend on it.

We don't always get all of the above from and with players we buy in straight for the first team.

There are a number of players in that squad who wouldn't let us down if they were called into action.

Of course we should always be looking for external talent elsewhere, but at Thorpe arch every day we have 30 plus young players, on show and learning the Bielsa way.

I do.
There is a time and place for all players and that is not a majority together.
I’m happy with the 4-5 that play their bit now. We need experience too.
Seems like Bielsa has promoted 2 more to first team training which is ok.
I have to ask wether he thinks all the young ones are really ready or is his ego trying to prove a point.
The man is a magician but not convinced he is trying to look good at the expense of what is good for leeds.

Aus, to a certain extent at the moment, he has no choice, has to play 11 and fill the bench. I think the key will be what he does in jan. I’m sure he wants to get us promoted, I think that is what is good for Leeds and if his choices don’t help that to happen he will start to lose support. Until jan, we are not really losing anything by playing the youngsters, after Jan it’s different if we have had the chance to strengthen key positions and not taken them. Important to see how, Clarke, Aapo, Shackleton and now Gotts and Nicell do.

Having see some highly paid players arrive on loan in January and hardly put a shift in I’m with the promote from within philosophy MB has. Hungry and keen u23s to impress and see a pathway to the first team.

Good morning Brothers! Well we are entering the Crucial part of the season so the next 6 games are critical to our season! Marcelo is working miricles with the squad but as we have all said on here we are dangerously thin and obviously the worry is defensively we are short Halme and Shackleton can cover but any more injuries over the xmas period will put a huge spanner in the works so taking into consideration bielsas belief it doesn't need any new signings in my opinion it would be wise for at least a loan or free agent signing someone like a huth whos out of contract and looking for a club would be a great short term answer and maybe recalling coyle would be a good idea too until most our knobled players return in January! Next 6 games QPR, Bolton, Villa, Blackburn, Hull and forrest lots of winnable games and no reason why we can't take at least 14 points from 18! Heres to a successful festive period my fellow leeds brothers 🎄🥅 MOT 😎.

Good post DJ, on some sites it lists Coyles loan as finishing in Jan, does anyone know for sure? I’m open minded on signings. Bielsa is football mad, imagine he’s been watching games, videos and thinking about possible players. I think we could be surprised but they will have to pass the Bielsa test and that’s going to narrow the field. Merry Christmas .

Right now I would settle for 14 from the next 6 games, be nice to win at Villa and the florist shop though :)
