I think Bates is keeping to his word, when in charge of Chelsea he said that he would "never rest until Leeds United and it's animal fans are no longer part of the football league" well looks like he is doing his best to make that come true, and the worst part about it is there is nothing any one can do to stop him whilst he controls the club, if this so called take over does not happen before the Watford game at the weekend we can kiss this club bye bye and Bates will walk away leaving us destitute or die trying.

We need an inspirational manager with something to prove, not an old dinosaur saving for his pension. I think Paolo Di Canio is a perfect fit for Leeds, flair and fight.

I'd rather play good, controlling and comfortable football in the championship an get promoted in 3 years.

Than...

Play Scrappy 1-0, unsatisfing, no-controlling football to get to the prem in a season then struggle.

Who agrees?

We won't ever get to the prem with that style of football so don't worry.
Also why does Warnock insist on Peltier, hes not good enough. - Would have been better asking Richard Naylor to put his clipboard down and play in the defense in recent games

Id rather win, dont care how we get the points

The reason our form has dropped off is cos teams have worked out how to play diouf,we are one dimensional simple,is that team better than last season no,we have a manager who thinks Kenny is the best keeper not just in championship but prem and we got him for a snip,what a load of rubbish.

Time to let go - he's run out of all the excuses now. They're his players, he spent 2 million, he's had nearly a year and tactically all he knows is 'hit and hope.' Or should that be hit and hopeless?

Our budget,he has spent a bit of cash,Pearce 500k,kenny 700k,Peltier 600 or 700k,varney 300k,Austin what was he 350 or 400k and how many of them have improved the squad none,I think ashdown is as good as Kenny given the chance,so I think a few managers would do better with the funds he's had,what about crystal palace have they had massive funds no,and even Grayson at hiddersfield,he's not spent massive money.

Candidates:
Eddie Gray
Owen Coyle
Gary McAllister
Gareth Southgate

I think any of them would do the job and play quality football at the same time - McAllister i feel has the right style of football for this league and the next (but not league 1) + he signed Becchio, Snodgrass and Freedman who were all quality signings.

I would go for Gray, partly out of sentiment but dont think much to your other choices, wot about Terry Butcher?

I'm the original poster and I'm not saying warnock is the answer I'm starting to lose faith myself i agree with the Mcallister shout he plays football the right way but we still need 5-6 decent players that bates won't buy
Palace have a very good youth set up and think you will find Grayson had spent a boatload on clayton Norwood beckford Vaughan scannel

Paolo Di Canio. doing a fantastic job at Swindon and he will bring the same flair football he used to play.

Karl robinson at mk dons yes ino its a risk but its one worth taking in the long term especially when he his half the age of warnock and got plenty of potential

Totally agree, ive been saying it along with Shrew leeds too if im correct. Our results have been better than performaces. We will not win games playing like we do and we are worse than last year. NW took from 7th to 16th last season and we'll be there again this season if things carry on. We have barely any shots on goal, we are a slow tempo, poor passing side. Please stop thinking anything else...something has to change drastically! Most depressed ive been about things for years! Mike

I dont like to jump on the "sack the manager" bandwagon too soon but i dont think we are making the most of what we have and the only direction we are going is down, if we were playing decent football and losing, that is one thing but to hit and hope and lose without even trying to play football shows no future and is an insult to the fans.

I feel a little for warnock but then any manager who came with our finances would struggle.but neil do yourself a favour and keep saying we were mugged or we played well,cos we havent.if anything we mugged a few teams grtting the odd draw ,barnsley,bolton and brighton come to mind

More points dropped. Our form dipped very badly when NW took over last season. This season's form is getting worse - last 5 games - 3 draws and 2 losses to teams who won't figure in the promotion push. A lot of poor players in and some very poor players retained. Time running out for NW - talking a good game but our displays are poorer and poorer and the disappointment grows. Time for NW approaching?

You'd think the prospective owners would speed up the takeover before promotion becomes impossible. We are dropping points in every game and drifting down the league. We never really look like beating anybody

Players need 2 take some blame aswell not just warnock, fair enough i understand neil picks the team but theres very little difference from team thats knocked everton and southampton out of cup, there just isnt the same passion and desire to win in league for some reason.

No flair in midfield and no one that can create that little bit of magic. Leeds will grind out results but the big time is a long way off. I will be there Saturday travelling from Birmingham supporting Leeds but things do not look good. Somma and McCormack are still a couple of weeks away from match fitness. The Watford game is a must win now.

We need Ross, Hall and Somma back asap, however whether Warnock will play them is another matter... I'm starting to get a bit frustrated with Mr Warnock!

Hope brown, tonge & kenny get minor injuries in training and only make the bench. whats the point in signing hall to get cramp in his ar5e.

Realistically, is warnick capable of buying flair and creativity. Haven't followed his entire career but all his Leeds signings are er wrestlers.
Think we need to start the grieving process for beccio, time for him to move on
We need 3 players
A defender A quick goal scorer/winger and a creator.
Who can we get for poss $5mil total that will seriously transform this team from tag to promotion.
I think it will take 5 players to make enough difference and quite possibly a younger manager too. Think warnock may have just reached his sell by date. Not his fault age catche's up with you. Hope I'm wrong about warnicks capability in buying well, picking the right team and maying the right way, but hasn't given me any confidence so far.

Yeah your are wrong you twonk warnock is by far and away the best manager we have had in years given money to spend we would walk this league

becchio doesnt need to go anywhere hes great at what he does the problem is we just hit the ball long and hope he can score .we need to be getting better balls into the box or give becchio the ball at his feet so he can bring midfielders into play .we dont really need a new striker but some classy wingers that can produce good crosses.once mccormack comes back we will score more goals from set pieces and becchio will probably be the main target.

Totally agree amigo,becchio is such a bigger threst when quality balls from the flanks are crossed in.is it just a coincidence that when our better midfielders ie.howson,snodgrass etc were here,becchio was excellent ? We need mccormack back asap,but becchio needs him more. Mrc1919.

If Warnock's our best manager in years why are we mid-table despite him having had 2m to spend in the summer? That's the best budget any Leeds manager has had post administration.

Look at Warnock's recent record; other than QPR it's not great. Most of his promotions were two decades ago when his kind of football worked at the lower levels (it's never worked in the premiership which is why he's always been an abject failure in that league). Even in the lower leagues that football rarely works any more which is why passing teams such as Norwich and Southampton have earned back to back promotions and why Grayson came reasonable close to the play offs.

Warnock's tactic of aiming for the front man from keeper/defence is predictable and ineffective and it's painful to watch. We need a modern, forward-thinking manager not a backward thinking has-been.

Seriously, what the **** is going on with this takeover? I would say, arent we due an update - but the last we heard completion was about three weeks away. Over 3 weeks ago. If nothing, at least it will revive our flagging club/supporter spirit and stir us up till the January window. Has David Haigh gone into hiding? I thought he was our new twitter mate? Booo you... none takeover. Boo!

with regards to the T/O any bets that we will get the usual 'statement' 24 hours before the home game with Watford to say things are still moving on and nearly there - When is something going to happen - we are a laughing stock, the longest t/o/investment in history of football!!
