Use our rumours form to send us leeds transfer rumours.

Whatever happens Cellino will still be the owner at the start of the next transfer windows. A deal to sell the club is not going to happen In a few weeks. It's his call. He either puts up for transfers and tries to make stronger and a team who look like they can give promotion a good go, or refrains from doing so and makes us relegation fodder where a sale looks less likely.

Well people, we are going to win, because we are Leeds and we are special, that's why everyone hates us, but we are Leeds so suck it up losers. On a special note, my son Sam is coming home with a shiny new pair of boots, gawd bless him he is now a trainee Royal Marine. I am so so proud. I expect a win tomorrow, several pints with my boy and a huge hungover sunday. Up the Whites, down the pints and cheers to my special boy x.

Just when you think a couple of wins and things might calm down, he opens his mouth. Talking about Cellinos demand for respect for pulling us out the s##t. Right of course, with first leeds or left with gfh we would be in admin. Doubt he will get any respect though wether he desrves it or not. Expect lots of chanting, future buyers looking and thinking I don't need that. And lfu running around trying yo raise 40 mill. Cellino loves a fight.

MC does not help himself but yes I do feel he saved the club. but respect is earned and he has made poor personal and Business decisions. I think his heart is in right place but he needs Adam Pearson to stop him getting in these messes and to run the club.

I agree with what you say Vincent respect as to be earned not demanded he sounds like that other well known Italian who fiddled why Rome burned . Cellino could be good for Leeds if he wasn't such a pratt and didn't go around thinking he is gods gift to us. What he should do is man up and turn up to the games and then he might just get that respect he so much desires.

Can't we just truly say though, that putting everything else aside and all the chaos to the back of our minds.

It takes a certain type of player to pull on a shirt for any club, but none more so than at Leeds United, and we just do not have or breed that kind of player anymore? .

I've seen players come on loan to Leeds who are now touted as world beaters and premier league stalwarts, yet they couldn't cut it at Leeds United.

The club is bigger than the players we have or have had for a very long time and I just don't think the players who we have realise this. I don't think until Steve Evans we've had a manager whose realised this either, since Simon Grayson of course.

I think if we'd have kept Snodgrass, Gradel, Howson, Johnson, Becchio, Beckford and added to those Byram, Cook, Mowatt, where would be be right now?

We sold (very cheaply) our identity in a team of winners.

I know we all blame Mr Cellino but you can be greatful that he hasn't buckled and let those players go because he wanted to pocket a few quid off the back of them.

Until we find that squad spirit and calibre of player in their primes again, we won't be going no where near the promised land.

That's all I wanted to say anyway. I realise off field problems don't help, but until our major on field problem is resolved, I honestly don't think what's happening in the boardroom etc will ever matter.

I hear where you're coming from DC. But the reason we still have the promising young players, I believe, is no one came in with any bids for them. If big bids had been offered MC no doubt would have cashed in. Of course we can't be sure of that, its just my opinion, but that's exactly what he used to do at his former club. As for team spirit. Well that starts with the manager and the players having stability. Chopping and changing the coach upsets the dressing room as every time a new one arrives he has his own ideas on players and systems and generally (like Evans) wants to bring in a whole load of new players, hinting present ones are not good enough. Hence, you then have an unsettled squad. We need a manager with a settled group of players but unfortunately with MC as president this is unlikely.
Personally I think our squad should be top 6 or there abouts at this moment in time. Wood will come good, as will Mohatt. Cook is pure class. Fullbacks are top draw. I suppose a top CB is needed and a keeper too, but i'd say every club in championship would say a couple of new players is needed.
Not exactly sure why, but I generally still have faith in this squad. A win tomorrow and maybe, just maybe, the players might start believing in themselves too.

Like most people I find myself warming to Steve Evans. The no nonsense approach is refreshing and so far his substitutions have been pretty much spot on.

That said we are still in the early days of the relationship when everything is positive. Any failings in the team are MC / Uwe's fault. His hard talking aggressive nature will undoubtedly cause issues within the team further down the line.

I hope he does the job for us but trying keep it real.

Anyone else find it suspicious that since Evans joined the club, half time entertainment at ER includes a pie cam giving away several pies. Maybe MC is trying to distract him so MC can do the half time team talk.

Well White Knight to be fair it did start before Big Steve came and they always have trouble finding someone in the crowd who is tucking into one at half time, maybe they should install a dressing room cam, then Steve could win every week!

As I have said before I just hope Steve Evans does what he has done before, be himself and get the team playing at the best of their potential more often than not and to instill that confidence so the players actually play, so far performance v fullham/Cardiff v good, bolton average, blackburn v poor.

If he can get us a win against those dog chasers types and Rotherham then he could be on to something, well you can hope.

Really happy that SE is going to use the International break to work on the players sharpness. Did your give the players four or five days off in the last break? Evans is saying the right things, just what fans want to hear. Someone who cares.

To be fair Aussie. Redders was useless at press conferences and Uwe wasn't much better. I know it's results that matter more than press conferences, but so far the big guy is talking sense and making sensible team selections and substitutions. Early days yet mind!

I am starting to like Evans now tell us how it is and doesn't get involved in all the other crap that is going on within the club. hope he does get some new faces in think he does know who are the passengers that he has inherited, three points tomorrow would be nice.

You're right Gelderd. If the manager has a winning mentality, then this will rub off on the players. If the manager says we won't get promoted (Uwe), what chance do we stand?

I've always rated Stevie E, but please take my word for it and don't look at past posts lol!

A lot of sport is in the head, instil confidence in reasonable players and hey guess what they win a lot more than they lose. It is a fragile thing of course it comes/goes so good on big Steve to say what he is ie we are a great club some you players can be great if you want to be, like it like it and feel a win tomorrow is a good bet.

Just my opinion.

We should be careful what we wish for

Cellino to stay or go?

Consider GFH, Bates etc who put nothing in and sold the best young players

I don't want another Bates or GFH at least with Cellino he loves the game, yes he has his issues.

The big issue for me is a manager needs time to build the team with the owner putting some money in. As an example Revie 1961 to 74 and Wilkinson 1988 to 1996

I would love to know how much Cellino has spent on the club as the only real assett that he has sold is McCormack (£11m) which we all agree was good business.

So if we got Red Bull to buy. great but we could be a lot worse off with someone like Bates who will sell the young talent for a quick profit

On the player front I still believe we need some talent, An expeienced Pro to help Cook, Mowatt etc to develop further. Someone like Gerrard would be great

Imponderable one that White. Bates took us into administration twice and had no care for the welfare of the club, just his wad. GFH only bought us so they could flip us and make a quick buck, that backfired spectacularly with all the damage being inflicted on us, they had no care for the club. Cellino I do believe cared for the club, but he is a total megolomaniac who has to have his paws on every aspect, I suspect frustration and impatience were the father of his constant bizarre behaviour. Who is to say the next in line, if there is one, will be "normal". As I said a few days ago, win our next few games and it may all go away and becalm the waters. The problem is that it is all detracting from what is important, the team and their perfomances, let's concentrate on supporting them.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Nov 2015 12:15:02
I can see your point on MC.
With our luck we would get Bates back!
You are bang on about needing experience though. It would be worth paying the extra wages to get the right man in. As much as I am not a fan of Barton he is precisely the type of player we need imo. You wouldn't see his head drop if going a goal down and he wouldn't let others do so. Unfortunately we have no chance with Gerrard. More chance of bring Strachan back.
