Even if this takeover fails, this has shown us that at some point, Ken Bates will sell Leeds United. It might not be today, it might not even be this year, but it will happen. So whatever happens, or doesn't happen, cling to that. We've survived League One. We've survived losing 7-3 at home. We'll survive another blow if we have to. Players come and go, divisions change, and so do owners of football clubs. But supporters don't, and we will still be here long after Mr Bates has walked out of Elland Road for the last time.

It wouldnt supprise me one bit that today's meeting with the clubs lawyers and the lawyers off the consortium,was yet another court case brewing against Our money grabbing owner.Its public knowledge that they the consortium have put money into Leeds this summer,I bet Norman is trying to rob them, by saying they rengaged on a agreement so that money is now void, i can just hear him saying those words. Myself I think that's all they are talking about. His Program noats nailed it to the mast for me if it was going to happen it would have been done weeks ago. No money has been put in by the Prospective new owners! It's from the sale of others and the massive wage drop as our squad is much smaller than it was. The players we have bought barely cost much when you compare it to other clubs purchases, it's lufc that have funded it not bates and not new owners (that's if there Is new owners, starting to doubt that)! I hope this takeover saga ends today as i am fed up with the rumours that has been posted on here.
I & everyone else on here just wants this to be put to bed so we can get on and support our great club.

I know this is a rumour site but lets get real. There is "NO" take over today or any other day, the sooner we put this behind us and get behind the team the better. Lets fill the stands and show the rest of the world "WE ARE LEEDS!" Bates will not sell, the only time we will be rid is when he's 6 foot under. As for loan signings (especially from prem teams) Warnock has already stated on numerous occasions that the funding is not there for wages or so called free transfers and do we want players that can't make it into lower division teams. We may be lacking in squad size but not heart and desire. MOT!

So what should we do then if no takeover.you say fill the stands,lots of posts say boycott the game..personally i think we support the team as much as poss but what will happen is when we have confirmation bates is still in charge,and once we fall away due to lack of depth of squad the numbers will dwindle down anyway..so its lose lose really..shrew leeds

When he got the club for 10 million and in 2007 wiped out 35 million of debt.Which nearly sent us to the red triangle league, THANKS FOR THAT! He now stands to make 40 million for 7 years in monaco. So to not sell will hopefully make people see, he's a greedy, egotistical, low life of a man.
We need new life breething into the club.

I have just been at Leeds Bradford airport and noticed a fleet of black limousines outside and 5 camels being unloaded from a cargo plane.

If we don't stand up for are club, then who is going to do it for us. We are Leeds united and we should be in the premier league. Not by right but by the size of the club and the prices we pay to watch.
Aslong as we allow Bates to sell are players and replace them with loan or freebies. We are not going to go anywhere fast.
Bates told us all that it was a 3 yr plan to get into the prem. We are on the 3rd year now and are best players from the first year back in the championship have left or sold. I honestly don't see us going up with Bates at the helm.
If we don't do something, the man will bleed the club dry. The man wiped out 35 million of debt by going into administration. Which nearly cost us going out of league 1 all togeather. Only a good team and luck stopped this from happening. How are these kind of actions safe guarding the club. How did he save us, when he gambled are whole exsistence.
Stay away fans, please. Bates doesn't care what fans think or feel. So its hard to get people like that to understand. The only way to get this man to take notice, is to hit him in the pocket. Once ticket sales are down by alot, Bates will have to foot the bill.

Normally i would disagree with boycotting the games,but the greedy nasty little man,has taken enough out of our club

If you want to support the team, support the team. Boycotting games isn't showing support at all.

If you want people to take note, then maybe do what other people have suggested and have a sit in after the game, but Elland road needs to have the same atmosphere it had at the Blackburn game ALL season if we're going to go up.

We need to galvanise in spite of him, not continue to be a split group of supporters like we are at the moment.

If the takeover does fall through, then getting up is probably the best way for us to get rid of Bates. So back the team, and got to the games, It's not the right forum for damning Bates.

Your supposed to be a supporter. Support you team. An empty elland road wont do anything to bates, in fact it may please him if you believe the bates conspiracy theorists. Boycotts will only accelerate the club toward admin and possible liquidation. That is what bates wants if you believe the LUST/ TOMA boys. So by boycotting you will be doing bates's job for him! Either get behind your team or go and 'support' someone else.

How would boycotting the game make Bates happy? Boycotting the game will make Bates have to pay out of his own pocket. So the theory of Bates loving this is so far off the truth, it's laughable.
Bates only understands the law of money and taking it.
Lets say we go with your theory and go to the games and show we don't care. Then all we are showing Bates is, we don't care about are club or what Mr bates is taking from are club.
Thats why i can not go to the games and spend money that could take my kids out somewhere nice. I still support my club no matter what but i don't support Bates's off shore accounts.
If we don't do this, then were do we go from here in 5 years time. Without investment in the team aventually we wi9ll go down. This is the season to push on with the right team and manager. The only person who could destroy this season is Bates. He nearly did it at the start of the season. Thats why Warnock was going to walk away. We the fans changed his mind, just like we the fans need to change Bates's mind.

If 6/9 is the day for us Leeds fans to rejoice we all need to celebrate on our wives and girlfriends with today's date a hint for such celebration. Let's hope today causes some mouthwatering transfers in the future! Lol.

If this is true, there could be a few busy maternity wards next June in West Yorkshire...
