Chris Burke was a maniac not coming to leeds a WeLl known worldwide club. Instead stayed in West Midlands crazy lad

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Chris Burke didn't have the choice. Birmingham issued a price tag for Burke, Leeds wouldn't pay it. The issue was one of valuation between clubs, not Chris Burke turning us down.

Agree0 Disagree0

I heard from a very reliable source it wasn't about the money. he just wants to make the world dance apparently?!

So, who should / can we get in the Loan window?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Serge Gnabry!
18 year old German winger. Plays for Arsenal. Wenger thinks he's the dog's you-know-whats.
Decent crosser, likes to shoot & good at it too, skillfull & so fast he could give White 10 yards & still catch him.
Would tear this league apart and not on big boy money which is a bonus.
The Fat Man

Agree0 Disagree0

He's an attacking midfielder, not a winger.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is definitely a winger

Agree0 Disagree0

If Wenger rates him so highly why doesn't he play him, he gave Oxlade Chamberlain and other chances at that age and they broke in the team, so why hasn't this kid.

Know doubt that is a great team you have just put out. I would add Smith to that team as when playing for Leeds always gave he's all and he's all was very good.
Say what you like about Smith he was Leeds though and though and played with he's hart on he's sleeve and for me was one of the grates to step on to the hallowed ground I say again He Gave every to leeds and should be recognised as doing so

Viduka got to be on bench at least easily one of best finishers we have had in ages

1. martyn 2. kelly 3. dorigo 4. batty 5 radebe 6. ferdinand ( better than woodgate) 7 strachan 8 yeboah 9 viduka 10 mccallister 11 speed

all the defenders have pace
you can't split up that midfield even with kewell
viduka touch, skill and goals
yeboah, pace power and awesome goals

that team would win the prem

subs lukic woodgate bowyer currie kewell wallace ( or hasselbaink) chapman

Agree0 Disagree0

Ferdinand better than Woodgate. You got to be joking! Woody best british CB I ever saw at a younger age. Only a run of serious injuries after the courtcase prevented him from being an English alltime great. And I mean Bobby Moore great. Terry Venables told me as much in his opinion. My team would be. Martyn, Sterland, Dorigo, Woodgate, Radebe, McAllister, Speed, Strachan, Sheridan, Viduka and Yeboah. Sterland and Kelly was a tough one though! Also Ferdinand and Radebe was a close call. As for subs. I could name loads as we have had some good players one time or another so I will stick at first 11. MOT.

Rachubka
Sa, Roque Junior, Gregan, Crainey

Sorsa, Burns, the Costa

Ricketts, Hately, Rush

This is surely up there as one of the best possible sides we could have put out . Premiership winners?

To the fifth poster Woodgate was good but you over exaggerate and he never did fulfil his potential. Much as I love Sterlkand, defensively he was a little suspect. you forget how Keely had Giggs in his pocket. the only player I saw give Kelly problems was Coventry's Darren Huckerby. Much as I like Sheridan you have no ball winner in midfield in your team and so Batty should be there instead.

To the sixth poster Rush was a great player for Liverpool and reasonable for us at the end of his career in a poor Leeds team that was so negative under the end of Wilko/Graham's first season .You could instead have chosen from those footballing forward goliaths of the late 80's Peter Swan, Bob Taylor, John Pearson, .

Agree0 Disagree0

No one mentioned hasselebank but mentioned Wallace bit stranger hats why we have opinions I suppose

Hi eds heard any real gossip, regarding loans in or out its all gone very quiet on our front again Leeds for life
Mot!

Martyn, kelly, ferdinand, matteo, harte, bowyer, bakke, batty, kewell, viduka, speed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bakke and bowyer instead of mcall. Speed. Smith?

Ausman, I had Bowyer as one of my subs in my team, but you are seriously clueless if you would pick Bakke instead of Mccallister or Speed and even more clueless if you think that Alan Smith would get a look in instead of Yeboah, Viduka, and then there's Wallace, Hasselbaink and Chapman. I liked Smith's work ethic, he scored some important goals in the Champions League but he is no goalscorer as the and Geordies also found out.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ausman. Speed is in my team. Bakke was a better midfielder than Smith. McAllister was before my remembering.

Chris Burke's contract at Birmingham ends this summer. There is no way they will let him go out on loan until the end of the season just to then let him go for free. They will keep him on their books until next summer. May as well keep him and get the most out of him for the remaining 8 months of his contract.

Still got to pay him though and they are skint

listen gfh need to invest in this club first and foremost, that means investing on the pitch, bringing new players in like snodgrass you buy them young and cheap they get you into prem league there's 90m, if it doesn't work out you don't get promoted they move on for millions more than you paid for them.secondly you buy back elland rd and thorp arch then you own the whole lot, would that not be easier to sell it would make Leeds utd a better prospect for potential buyers than it does right now.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Thanks for that shirlock, but Rome wasnt built in a day, give GFH time and they will sort things, were still in a Post-Bates environment, it won't be cured straight away

Agree0 Disagree0

We all want more, its the nature of supporters, but we need to be realistic.

With little spare revenue available monthly due to the previous person, they have to take things more slowly than anticipated.

I am delighted we are only a couple of players short, its better than last season with six players and a manager short. MOT

New Poll - Are you happy with Leeds United's start to the season? {Ed013's Note - Click on the Leeds Editor page and the polls are at the right hand side}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Better, than I expected. Happy with BMD and the desire to bring in young talent.
I am dissapointed that BMD did not get the other 3 players he was after. As everyone knows, we lack wingers and a goal scorer.

Agree0 Disagree0

Happy with manager
Happy with defense
Semi happy with midfield
In general not happy with strikers
Think we could of got 3 against sheff
Think attacking style can improve
Work rate and determination good
Like mcd willingness to use subs
Gonna get better. Still reckon we will sneak playoffs

Agree0 Disagree0

Delighted with Owners
Delighted with BMD
Defence looks better, especially Pelts
Midfields steady, Green needs to improve
Need one striker
Cant wait for Byrams return
Like using subs not at the 99th minute like our former manager
Disapointed that people still see the need to whine and moan about little things

Agree0 Disagree0

Give green a break. Talk about whine about little things. Jeez, some just winge for the sake of it

Agree0 Disagree0

He does, he's just not looked the same as he did last year, I like him and I want him to improve, was like an unsung hero when he played last year his work went un-noticed
