From reading McCarthys comments, "biggest club he's ever played for" sounds like he's angling for a move to us. Would be fantastic signing if it were possible. Great talent.

Where did you read this?

Agree2 Disagree0

Well duh

Agree1 Disagree0

Ive just read it on Sky sports

Agree3 Disagree1

He can angle all he likes - we won't pay top-dollar, so we won't get him. Pity.

Agree5 Disagree4

Must have paid him good enough wages for him to come on loan, so lets stop the unnessecery negativity.

Agree4 Disagree5

Would be great to keep him, sadly with Lonners coming back (who also did well) it won't be a priority position and he would cost a mill+. Also, not sure Reading would consider letting him stay on loan for the season though. A real prospect who could go right to the top i think. Size, positioning, agility, command of area, and an old head on young shoulders.

From the OS...

Aidy met fans at the Elland Road Superstore on Tuesday evening when he was one of a number of players taking part in a festive signing session.

One subject which kept cropping into conversation were the media reports that the player had rejected the offer of a new contract with the club.

"Talks are ongoing," said Aidy.

"I want to sign for Leeds and hopefully we'll get things sorted as soon as we can. I just focus on my football and hopefully that will take care of everything else."

Been told that simon grayson as been told he will have
to sell players before he can sign players
Any ideas who we could sell .Think its a must to hold on to players like snoddy, white.

Believable1 Unbelievable4

O,Brian, Paynter, Bruce, possibly a striker, maybe Somma(unfortunately)

Agree1 Disagree4

Plenty, Paynter, Rachkuba, Bromby, Forssell, Valyren, OBrian etc etc.
That will give us 100 quid to spend!

Agree1 Disagree4

We have lots of deadwood taking up big wages, so its understandable

Paynter, O'Brien, Parker, Bruce, Rachubka all need to move on and maybe even Bromby

Agree3 Disagree1

Would be smart to work on a 1in 1out system but actualy make sure outgoing players are replaced i.e bruce, bromby, forsell. No good gettin rid of players without a replacement coming in.

Agree1 Disagree0

Parker's 50/50 for me - talented, high potential but injury prone which might make him hard to offload. Can't argue with most of these names although we probably haven't seen enough of the Norwegians to be sure.

Agree2 Disagree2

Paynter is one of leeds highest earners, if not the highest earner...need to offload him to brighton for the 150k they offered...o brien is trouble and a negative effect on the team we should sell him to west ham...parker is always injured and never plays (he needs to go)...rachubka is obvioulsy terrible when there is pressure put on him... bromby looked like a liability against brighton so he should be sold and bruce isnt playing for leeds so he could go...we would be left a little light at the back tho....oh and forsell and varynen are finnish not norwegian and they are good assets to the club

Agree4 Disagree1

Who are the norwegians? Do ya mean finish? Forsell and vayrynen?

Agree2 Disagree0

I forgot about Parker, time to go!

Agree0 Disagree4

Yes we have a few players which its time for them to move on but we have a tiny squad as it is,

Agree2 Disagree1

They are indeed Finnish - spot the idiot! Still think offloading Parker's going to all but impossible with his medical history though.

Agree0 Disagree3

Who told you that? It would seem like a pretty big turnaround when both Bates and Grayson have been publicly saying money is available.

I cant believe some people;
I go to every home game and I go to many away games when I can afford it. At each of these games I get a programme and have done for over 20 years (my loft is full of them!)
This saturday I got to the ground half hour before kick off and couldnt get a programme due to massive que's or sold out booths. Not a problem I thought as I could get one in the club shop afterwards or in the pie bar at half time. Usually I dont leave the pub until 5 mins before kick off, but today I didn't want to miss the Gary Speed tributes. Afterwards there were no programmes left as it is understandable why they were sold out and my mate said to me "I bet some money grabbing idiots put them on ebay to make some cash" I said surely not as we have all come together at this sad time. So I just checked ebay and there they are, hundreds of them selling! Now if someone wanted face value then fine, but making money on Gary is wrong. I bet none of them are giving the profit to Garys charity. Wheres the respect people! RANT OVER!

MOT {Ed007's Note - If that is true then that is a disgrace. You are entitled to a rant over that mate.}

Believable8 Unbelievable1

Cheers Ed007, im fuming with it. I can handle not having one but some people take the p**S and there will be some people that come on here that will say its the stewards, programme sellers or the Millwall fans. It doesnt matter, its disrespectfull.

MOT {Ed007's Note - It just shows how low some people will stoop mate.}

Agree4 Disagree2

Absolutely ridiculous.

Agree3 Disagree2

I hope it wasn't a Leeds fan

Agree2 Disagree2

Just had a look again and some are selling form Scarborough, Ashford and the worst one is from Leeds. Ebay member leedsufc08 is selling loads! That means that he bought loads at the game with all intentions of making money. Makes me sick. Im proud to be a Leeds fan and always will be and the Gary Speed tribute was a great day of respect, but a minority are greedy and are a small bad smell of our great club.

Agree4 Disagree2

I bet him selling loads dint even go to the game. He probably went to programme booth early and went home.

Agree2 Disagree2

I understand where your coming from but unfortunatly there are d*ck heads out there.

Why put the Arsenal game on a Monday Night, when last year over 7,500 Leeds fans went to London on the Saturday and behaved impeccable. I can't see us taking that many down this year, especially with it being on TV. I didn't mind paying the extortionate prices last year, as we made a day out of it, but Monday night.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

The whole point of putting it on monday night is to televise it - dow???

Agree1 Disagree0

It was on tv last year aswell.

Agree2 Disagree0

It was on TV last year as well. Being on a Monday night has put me off the idea of going down.

Agree1 Disagree0

Our Lass might use that excuse.

Agree1 Disagree2

Not being funny, this will be the 10th fa cup game leeds have had on TV, and its because of this our games keep getting moved, stuff the tv money and put it on saturday at 3pm!

Agree3 Disagree0

Whilst ever the tv companies are pumping millions into the game then they have the say over when games are played.
