So Salerno has identified 2 positions we are lacking, midfield & striker. Well I think he needs to add defence to his Xmas shopping list too.

Liverlass….couldn't agree more. Our defence plays like they've never met one another before. Sadly, Pearce has to go….nice lad, but we can't afford sentiment or gift goals. Success is built around having a solid 'spine' in the team…'Keeper, centre backs, holding and creative midfielders and top striker. Oh, and good attacking wing-backs too!! (Well, it is nearly Christmas, and time for 'wish lists'!

Pearce is a good squad player. Best to keep him. let's see what Del Fabro is like. We are going to need another LB. I fear this may be Warnock's final season with us.

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought this season might me warnocks last but I was very wrong! Think we need another right footed CB, an experienced midfielder and a target man

Even if we have an embargo, we could still bring in players as long as they're on lower wages than the ones we get rid. That would be simple if we could offload the high earners like Morison, Murphy, Hunt, Tonge and Norris, but unfortunately I doubt anyone would be silly enough to want them.

Murphy and Morrison still have a lot to offer a team, maybe not ours but they are worth brass.

How many penalties have we conceded in the league this season? Has any team conceded more? How many have Leeds been awarded?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Of the top of my head, Millwall, Watford, Brentford, Charlton, Blackburn and Ipswich, so 6. We haven't had one yet.

Agree0 Disagree0

We've conceded the most and received the fewest, along with Blackpool and the Wendies, who both have had no penalties either.

Agree0 Disagree0

That's what I thought- we're getting the bad end of the bad stick

Agree0 Disagree0

No, we just can't defend and we don't get inside the opposition box much. Byram used to win loads

Ed you amended my earlier post

{Ed003's Note - Did I lol.}

Yeah, I referred to the dung end of the dung stick (only I used a more earthy word-which you replaced by 'bad') lol

Been to the Elland Rd Superstore today to get some Christmas Presents.
No fresh flowers or tributes for the great man from club or fans, it was sad to see.

So the Daily Mail are the only people in the world who have seen our accounts then? Yet more tripe and another Cellino bashing article when it's nothing to do with him.

Yesterday was a reality check. We are not promotion material as some thought after Derby, not yet anyway.
Apart from the defence, which I think everyone will concede needs some work, the whole team seemed to lack energy. They certainly did not show the tempo that dominated Derby also the tiredness showed itself in lack of crisp, accurate passing which would have given the Ipswich mid/defence more to think about than they did. Hopefully we will see a considered approach to changes for the next game and no knee jerk reaction. Redfearn sees the the whole picture and will know who is in need of a rest and who who is pushing for a starting berth.
Let us hope that the blip was yesterday and not last week
I still believe MOT

Sensible post Leo. It was easy to get carried away after last week. We are (hopefully) a mid table team this season that will gel and grow for a promotion push next year. I know that isn't much consolation to the fans who paid good money to see that crap yesterday, or pay to go to all the home games. But I'm afraid that's the reality. And it's way better than what could have happened 6 months ago if MC hadn't arrived!

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry I disagree most teams are unreliable no team other than Derby who we beat looks like a promotion team. every week throws up unexpected results and no team looks consistant and no team look a class above. Not saying we are a promotion team but can not see who is really ispwich beat us but will proabably get beat soon by someone like millwall. Someone has to go up and why not us. Remember everything going on off field can't help. Sure we will start playing better soon
