Who ever manages Leeds we as Leeds fans will always want it to work and will always turn out in big numbers to see a winning team, I think the 30,000 plus crowds are over for this season unless there's a dramatic turn around with results, this summer is another massive one and we must show massive intent to keep the 20,000 season ticket holders other wise this could diminish back to 12,000 All the best to Paul and if your still here in the summer you might not be doing a bad job, Leeds United Forever.

You handed back your ST, Martyn? You serious?

Been through a lot worse than this Martyn hang in there. Think we will get it right but at the moment the whole club, management to players, are on a bit of a learning curve. All its costing us at the moment is time, frustrating but sure they will all get theirnact together.

Sent it back in disgust, this appointment has really upset me guys. I'm not willing to invest in a season ticket with a chairman who won't invest in a quality manager

Martyn-g 150% agree with you mate, buy in to Rdaz 5 year plan I saved 1200 todate, I will not go again until this dip stick gone

I was initially disappointed with the appointment of Hecky because he was not a "name" however I have reflected on this and listened to his latest comments. We do not necessary need a "name", we do not need a big ego, we do not need someone on there last hurrah looking for a pay day to top up their retirement fund. What we need is someone who knows English football and this division, someone who has the principles of wanting to play aggressive attacking football, someone who is straight talking and is not afraid to pull up players who are not giving 100%. That could be Hecky. Yes, his record in the division this season is not great but let's be honest Barnsley have a poor squad and every decent player he has had in the past couple of seasons has been sold off. Last season they were flirting with the play offs until their board ripped his team apart in January. We need to give this guy a chance as I am 100% confident that he will not spend 15 minutes procrastinating if the opposition bring on a dangerous substitute that everyone but previous manager know will carry a threat, he will not pander to the likes of Kemar Roofe if he comes to the sidelines complaining that he is tired when we are down to 10 men with no striking replacements available, he will not tell everyone that a new signing is injured just because he hasn't spent a week on the training pitch with him. Hecky may not make all the right decisions but I don't believe that he will cock up the job on purpose because he does not like Leeds. In fact, I really do not care if he supports Leeds at all as long as he is professional in his job.

great post agree 100%, when was the last time we employed an actor who was in work and not unemployed and on the scrap heap? when was the last time we hired a manager that the club we took the manager from was gutted to lose him, they only just signed him on a new deal as they were happy with job he was doing, honestly can't think last time we got a manager like that. really pleased! I'm definitely in the 'get behind Heck' campaign. Every bright young up and coming manager was a nobody at some point. I mentioned the great job Danny Cowley was doing at my local club Lincoln City last year before their amazing FA Cup run and promotion. They are now sitting pretty just outside the pay-offs in League Two with a great chance of a double promotion and they're going to Wembley in the Checkatrade. Cowley is now being touted for the Barnsley job and he's only one successful move away from maybe a Premier League job (if he does well) . A fantastic achievement considering he was a PE teacher only two years ago! Heck lead Barnsley to an amicable 14th last season after promotion and has had his side stripped of their decent players this season. I don't think it's fair to judge him on this season and he will hopefully turn out to be a master stoke appointment by Radz.

Believable5 Unbelievable4

{Ed001's Note - surely Cowley was who you should have gone for?}

07 Feb 2018 17:02:24
Seriously, I don't think he would have been a bad choice Ed. It would take a brave chairman to appoint a completely unknown but I reckon he'll have a top job sooner or later. MM

Cowley would've been a smart choice. He will manage in the PL.

Lassoga says he will " wait till the end of the season to decide where he will play next year" ! Well I have some news for him, think I can tell him where he won't be ! and that list is growing quickly

Dear Heck amusing concluding part to your last name, play 442. You'll thank me later.

Believable7 Unbelievable3

07 Feb 2018 14:24:36
George you can only play 11 at once. 442 is sort of cheating and we will need our under 23 squad to field that many players

Agree3 Disagree1

07 Feb 2018 17:38:43
Lol Martyn. At least by the hour mark we'd be down to 11 players with all our red cards. Seriously, 4-4-2 is the way to go.

Agree6 Disagree0

07 Feb 2018 20:45:03
George at least you are consistent you’ve been saying 4-4-2 for donkeys now. Personally I’m not sure we have good enough forwards to play the two and it will take away a creative player as we can’t play Saiz and Hernandez out wide. 4-3-2-1 for me mate. Saiz Hernandez just in behind Lassogo.

Agree2 Disagree0

07 Feb 2018 22:12:00
Corky I like 4-2-3-1. Ultimately it's the way to go but only on the condition the players are capable of playing it for 90 minutes which they are not. It's too sophisticated for them. I agree our forwards aren't good enough for 4-4-2. However, they'll improve over time. Lasogga Roofe Roberts and Dalby for 2 spots should see their competitiveness increase. A lot of our conceded goals have come from poor positioning and tactics coming from the bench but he's gone now. I just believe getting back to basics right way to go.

The problem chaps is not TC or PH, it is the league. A soon as it looked like we might have a sniff of promotion, Refs meeting, right every slight chance you get dish out a Red. We will keep them in this league whatever it takes. MOT against the rest.

Believable8 Unbelievable2

07 Feb 2018 14:03:31
Agree, some of the decisions against us over the last few years have been really really bad. The club should arrange a meeting with the refs board, bring along the footage and ask why why why.

Looking at the tables from last season and this season, unless we get 32 points from next 16 games and only loose 3 of those games we gave gone backwards from last season. However monk had a 30 goal striker in Chris Wood, also we had bartley and taylor and Rob green in goal. So I think also the squad is worse also and that to me doesn't sound like it was down to TC. so comparatively speaking he probably hasn't done a bad job with what he had to work with. The let down for me is the sending off. Its has caused without doubt this run we are on.

07 Feb 2018 11:30:49
Problem is Heckys come in at probably the worst time. Half the squad out, tough games coming up. can't see our season getting that much better to be honest. Hope he starts playing people in their strongest position and stop the trend we have had of playing left footed players on the right and right footed players on the left. let's hope the youngster are assessed properly and given the chance. Sarkic, Pearce and Macucha are doing everything right but have been overlooked when the first team have been struggling with their positions. Not saying they would have been superstars but not many knew Taylor when he appeared and look where he is. Coyle is out on loan and we don't have a right back now. Some poor decisions have been made in the past let's hope our new coach has more vision. As i say i do not expect him to achieve much with the rest of this season but he can show us some direction and positivity for the next campaign.

It's this a sketch show? Shades of monty Python What's radz (the romans ) ever done for us? Well he bought back our ground with inward investment and not a crippling loan offset against the club Well yeah, he's done that but what else ? He's invested heavily in youth development ( I know, results yet to be seen, but it's all a gamble) plus there's plans to move development from Thorpe arch Ok, but what else He's hopefully ended the sale of our best players to pay the bills every season ( yes, I mean you ken ) and put our kids on longer contracts Yeah, ok, he's done that but what else? His biggest mistake ( or those around him ) was the badge He held up his hands He appointed TC Could that have gone better, yes, but no one thought that when we topped the table Managers generally get sacked The guy would say he didn't have long enough. Well We'll never know now
