Ed, there are rumours that leicester are interested in Yakubu. why arent leeds making those noises? {ed's note - why would they need to? Leeds are scoring goals, it is keeping them out that is the problem, no need for Yakubu (who is not worth having any more anyway, he is virtually immobile nowadays).}

To all those who seem to disbelieve the fact that the manager of the mint hotel is a barnsley fan all i can suggest is that you go or ring the hotel and speak to him he very approachable he is in fact a huge leeds fan . . . if every player who stays at the hotel is going to sign for leeds then steve macmanaman neil ruddock are already leeds united players . . believe the believible player agents etc are people who stay at hotels. .

To counter this post "I posted the following this morning. . ."I work at the services on the A1 . . Alan Smith just been in. . I asked him if he was coming back to Leeds . . he declined to comment . . however I can exclusively reveal he did buy a Daily Star, A Flake and a bottle of Evian". . . I do not believe it . . . he has come back again this afternoon. . . didn't buy a paper this time. . . but bought 3 flakes for £1.80 on offer in our store. . . maybe he is splashing out part of his signing on fee already! Also bought a bottle of Lucozade £1.39 versus the Evian at 89p. . judging by his increased spending power he has obviously banked a substantial signing on fee."

I work for Iceland as a delivery man - I have just delivered a substantial amount of Frozen food (lots of Pizza, Ice cream, frozen veg, chips, ready meals) to alan smiths house just outside Newcastle . . I ask you . . would you be filling your freezer if you was moving clubs / house . . the answer is an empthatic NO . . smith is staying put!

to the bloke/woman who delivers for iceland. smithy house in newcastle isn't probably that far a drive away from thorp arch in wetherby, maybe half an hour to 3 quarters of an hour longer than when he lived in leeds, so its probable that he is staying in his own house while he remains on loan! plus there is still lots of ex leeds players that loan houses out in wetherby he might stay there while his wife/partner stays at house in newcastle and they will meet up when possible, im sure lots of players do similar things like this because of transfers/loans i would imagine its not an un-common occurance
