I just read that Leeds are interested in signing Patrick Bamford on loan for the season, and we have all seen what be achieved with Middlesbrough

BUT Aston Villa and Newcastle are also interested in signing him permanently for around 10 million. So will Chelsea want to cash in on a player who won't make their first team for a few seasons or will they want to loan him out to Leeds for a season.

Question for the FL, is Mike Ashley a fit and proper man to in charge of a championship club? Corruption within his Sports Direct company, under paying employees, fines, 15 to a 3 bed house, breaking this law or breaking that law.
The main thing MC has done is not paid VAT but hasn't abused his employees.

08 Jun 2016 11:16:33
Danum the point about fit and proper. Speedy tablets are all I have until season starts again.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Jun 2016 11:54:10
Wex, I think the point was that the poster you were agreeing to was Lucas not Danum, unless it's me wot's going barmy. Which is possible. Definitely possible.

No wex is meaning me, Speedy. It's regarding a post from a few weeks ago. I can't remember what I said.
I'll have to look in the archives.

Its the heat speedy combined with lack of activity in transfers making me crazy. I need a 5 million transfer to bring me back to earth.

Hope these Taylor rumours are, well just rumours. He's been excellent since he came in and a real jewell. 5 million is a great price, but we should be trying to keep him and Cook. I saw in one of the daily rags that he was on 2,500 a week and Cook was on 4,000. It's not going to take much to tempt them to join a Prem club, so if there is any remote truth in the rumour we need to act soon.

Sorry boyz. but we're stuffed on this.

The lad goes with terrible sadness but my blessing likely to Liverpool.

He'll make five to ten times the money he's currently making training under one of the best coaches in the Prem and indeed in Europe.

Good for his career.

All we can offer is love and the hope of premier football "in maybe a year or two".

Sam got tired of waiting.

Garry better get cracking with some substantial confirmed announcement on back office, signings and plans for the pre-season. or there's more to follow.

Think you're spot on TW. I don't knock any of the youngsters for progressing and earning a decent crust. 12 months to go on Taylor's, Cooks and Mowatts contract and Celinio doesn't like agents, so I don't see much in the way of compromise.

I see we are being linked with some lugging great big lanky carthorse from Denmark who scored 5 goals in 35 apps,! Hope this is just lazy rumour if it's not, one Question springs to mind WHY! Gordon Bennett as BW might say! We need to do everything in our power to persuade Patrick Bamford to come to ER instead of villa or the geordies, accompanied by Limbombe from NEC, then we may be getting serious and showing ambition, but this relegated ex Charlton flop! REALLY! 😡 if Massimo has taken over Scouting missions he wants to Sack himself Quick sharpish, argh that's better, feel better now 😂 😎.

DJ - we are going to see all types of "potential" transfer targets in press so just be cool you can't blame MC or anyone else for a rumor, if we signed this joker I would eat my hat, well if I had one, won't happen.

Things are pointing upwards so let us see who we actually get in, up to then I don't get upset with people who we are "interested in" cause most stories about us made up/ guesses on the negative side of things as the press not here to paint us in a good light as we know.

Ah DG, trust you to be able to Calm me down and halt the blood pressure, with your soothing banter! 👌 of course you are right I may have over reacted to one of the thousands of players that will be linked to us over the next 6 weeks, I am excited about GM as coach. Just don't want MC to ruin his good work and recruit in the opposite direction. Quality with Pace, Pace and more pace please Massimo.

Sone aluko has Been released from Hull. We don't have natural left winger he would fit the bill and his free . Good player premier league experience and has experience of winning promotion, and also maybe wrong but I believe he played champions league football with rangers. What do you all think mot.

Corky Top of the morning to you sir! My legends would be captain Billy in the Dons era (yes I am old enough to have watched him 😂) And the fabulous Gary speed of the 90s just so reliable quick put a foot in contributing in the goals scoring and assists just an all round fantastic professional and player.
On a side note I will be in your Neck of the woods in August via the Edinburgh fringe, what delights can I look forward to on the emerald Isle, apart from the Black stuff and the Banter? 🍀.

Any of these really. A fine way to start the day.

Yeah like Coors, also Dark lager is great, sort of cross between Murphys and lager, but these days have started getting into the American pale ales like Devils backbone or shipyard mmm getting thirsty thinking about it. Looking forward to Eire Corky! I think there's a day at the races planned by her in doors. Bit of Irish luck 🍀 wouldn't go a miss.

Have a kiss of The Blarney Stone DJ and you'll be fine for the Craic.

Ausman, loving your list (Morrison lol) . Tony Dorigo was one of the best left backs you'll ever see. Calm, composed on the ball and could deliver a perfect cross for another on your list - the mighty Lee Chapman.

I'd add David Wetherall to the list. Good defender but became legend for me, by scoring against the scummers.
