Great atmosphere tonight at our beloved home Radz get this summer right and this could be every home game

It was Worley, great to see positive comments about Elland Road from fans around the country. As you say if Radz does the business and we were challenging at the top it would be an atmosphere to savour. I hope the 49s bloke was there to see it too.

Please edit accordingly in a few days; Abel signs for Leeds. Well done radz, statement of intent, excellent signing. Abel signs for the Turks. Didn't want him anyway, not the 20 goal a season striker that we crave.

Lol Lucas! I'm beginning to think it's the latter. Both him, and the manager discussions are dragging on too long for my liking now.

We always struggle to close a deal quickly.

Don't believe either will be at Leeds to be honest, as you say bright both dragging on too long. Can't see them happening.

Looks like Ranieri more likely to be our next boss, bookies cutting the odds on him as talks with the Argentine seem to be taking too long and less likely to happen.

Can never see why negotiations take so long. My wife has bought a dress quicker than this. You offer him V. He says no, wants W. You umm and ahh, offer X. His agent says he is worth Y and you settle on Z. No more letters, job done.

I know what you're saying Leodis, but he will be asking much more than just monetary questions. Which coaching staff can I bring? Contract length? Payoff if sacked? Influence over new signings? Direct input to club strategy going forward? Influence over academy strategy and coaching as well as tactics? Academy coaches? Compensation fee should a top EU club come knocking? Then more monetary questions, such as win related bonus, promotion bonus etc. am sure there are probs a hell of lot more on top of this too.

{Ed001's Note - Bielsa will want changes to the training ground to be able to train the players the way he likes to operate. That was one of the issues he had in France, the training ground had to be rebuilt, if I remember correctly, at Lille.}

Really enjoyesd the Mike Tyson write up Ed001 - thank you. I remember Iron Mike from when i was a bit younger and he was an absolute demon. no boxer before or since was as feared or as destructive.

Jack Dempsey, Rocky Marciano, Sonny Liston, Joe Frazier, George Foreman, they were all before iron mike, and were just as feared and brutal.

Iron Mike pre robin givens was definitely the meanest. Lost it after all the divorce etc.

Smoking Joe Frazier would have left Tyson as a mess on the floor, he was a real streetfighter, although the fabulous Ali gave him a lesson or two

Bartley is the only one that I can realistically see being at Leeds the rest linked but unlikely. Abel Hernadez deal taking too long and likely be will not sign.

Pearce signs new contract at least we should get a decent fee if he his sold to any likely bidders, rather see him as our permanent left back tho.

Could be normal service resumed for Leeds. Hernandez to Galatasary and Bielsa to Sporting Lisbon. Still not keen on dour Yorkshire so wouldn't be happy with McCarthy (he's past his sell by date as well as being dour) and Bruce would be infinitely worse. Hope after all these weeks of 'negotiating'a teams from Turkey and Portugal don't swan in at the last minute and sow up the deals in a couple of days.

Forget Hernandez and Bielsa much more likely to be Mbakogu and McCarthy both negotiations going on too long not convinced Bielsa would be a good fit way too volatile and unpredictable could walk away at any time, can't see him working with Orta neither rather have Ranieri used to English football and think he would fit better, been there and done it, as oxwhite says were Leeds so when do things ever go smooth think Hernandez will chase the bucks Mbakogu is typical Orta, injury prone and doesn't score enough goals clocks ticking get Ranieri in and let him get the players he wants

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Jun 2018 11:14:03
Yeah Rhino I must agree with you. Would choose Bielsa for potential but the risk may be far too great. Ranieri is not a bad back up. Proved he can do it, is a true gentleman and would not walk away.

Although in sad circumstances, was good to see "Big Jack" out n about today. Reading between the lines, from what his lad said, seems he's got Alzheimer's or similar, the club should pay some sort of tribute to him soon. One club man, World Cup, League, League Cup, FA Cup, UEFA Cup winners medals, successful club and international manager. Let's have another statue or summat.
